I have absolutely no need to ever ride the wooden coasters at Wonderland again, unless I hear of some serious improvements. I would LOVE to watch Wild Beast burn to the ground and get replaced by a GCI! In other news...I love the combination of photos and videos! Great update Erik! Dragon Mountain is the legendary custom Arrow terrain looper that was built for the park 25 years ago. Even to this day, the ride's theming is still in a work of progress state. They finally had the budget to finish the volcano a couple of years ago. Hi Niiico!! Bye Canada! "Robb Shaves" I just got the Bingo square. We drove by the falls on the way out of Canada. Poor Rich. TPR people. I found the S&S tower to be a lot of fun. I have never done a full cycle with both an upward and downward ride on the same tower. More mist, there must be a waterfall over there. There is a lot of dead space in-between attractions. Now its time for the 15 minute walk up the hill. So that is where the StarJets went. Everyone who wanted the credit, got the credit. Elissa and K.T. gives us a demonstration. You pay money to feed the bears corn pops. I guess this is a real "Bears!" Bingo square photo. The final element before heading into the station is a batwing. Its really has a unique layout. Here are the first two vertical loops. Ahhhhhh!!!!!! The queue entrance is a giant mouth. Just in case you already forgot its name. Its a 25 year old custom arrow terrain looper with some really interesting theming. After a 25 minute walk (no joke), we finally come across Dragon Mountain track. Its the tallest S&S tower in the world. If you count the hill that it is on. Oh Canaba...... We had the most amazing/legendary ERT session on Ravine Flyer II that evening. The coaster certainly made my top 5 of my woodie list. While my late afternoon ride on it was quite good, nothing tops riding it in pitch blackness with pouring rain and thunder. I really enjoyed the rest of the park as well, especially the Wacky Shack. Sorry for a real lack of photos in this section, I was just having too much fun that I forgot to take many pictures. Hopefully the 2 minute video helps a little for this oversight. EDIT: I just added a version to download in case you have trouble watching the video. Waldameer.wmv Waldameer Video The coaster was awesome, but we all got really wet during ERT. Yes this counted as my, "Dan Gets Wet" Bingo Square. Mmmmmm.....Ravine Flyer II. Make sure you check out Robb's video sometime. We were all able to earn the Ravine Flyer 3 credit. I think it might be the only coaster completely built over water. This includes the station. The girls of TPR really liked the show, especially Trevor. The Pirate's Cove walkthrough was pretty cool as well. How wacky did you think it was Brent? Hey look, its a Wacky Shack! Waldameer Park was my favorite on the Behemoth/Ravine Flyer II tour. It will be tough to beat the insanity of that ERT session! Great pictures and videos Erik. It is kind of sad to watch the videos because it makes me wish we were still on the trip, but at the same time, it's awesome because it is like reliving the greatest 5 days ever. Its a very nice park with surroundings that really reminded me of Knoebels. The have a super rare coaster in the park, The Wild Mouse, which is the only mouse coaster Vekoma has ever built. Other unique attractions include the Mister Rogers Trolley ride as well as the last complete running (with a fully operational canopy and undercarriage fan) Catepillar in the world. Amazing that I think I did basically the same stuff you did at Waldameer and I hated it. It had some good rides, but it felt like a dirty and old park, not well kept at all (as far as cleanliness). a very nice park with surroundings that really reminded me of Knoebels Definitely agree with that though. We had no idea what the ride was and were quite shocked when the canopy closed us in. "Eww! It's smellly in here!" It was also very slow moving. Idlewild's looks much better. The only thing I can remember from Delgrosso's is the sauce. Anyways, I will add pictures from Sesame Place in this update. Sesame Place was an add on park to either the Behemoth Tour or the East Coaster Tour. So let us wave goodbye to Vapor Trail. While its a nice park, there is very little to do if you are over the age of 8. Ok, who farted? It is Big Bird's Beach Party. Its just like the one in the show....ok maybe not. So when is this going to change? We took in the Elmo show. Unlike the other Busch parks, Sesame Place does not have a hospitality house. The Alvey's are ready to earn another credit. You guys looked thrilled for Vapor Trail. Grover's voice greets you on the lift hill as well as the final brake run. Vekoma helix action. Vapor Trail is a custom Vekoma skater built over the edge of a large hill. We had to wait a few minutes before getting in the park. Can you spot the coaster nerd? So I thought it was very cool that the Vekoma Skater was themed to Super Grover. Grover was my favorite from when I was a kid, especially Super Grover. Sesame Place was an add on park on the trip. Part 2 coming soon. Yes, you can see Manhattan Island from the top. These cars do not swing nearly as much as the one at DCA. Yes, "From Above". Anyone see Cloverfield yet? Hey wait, I know these people. But since we are from TPR, we choose swinging. You do have a choice for which car to ride. The original ticket booth still exists. Disney's California Adventure has a recreation of this classic ride. Let us go check out the Wonder Wheel. Did you enjoy number 300, John? Was it really that fun? It is the third and final credit in the Coney Island area. The parachute tower still exists. Here is a shot of the boardwalk. Everyone who wanted it earned the credit. How many Wacky Worms have you seen with a turntable? The skytower was closed....awwwww. GJ seemed to enjoy it. It would be a real bummer to be this guy. Since I like dark rides, I had to check this one out. While the area is called Coney Island, the actual name of the park is Astroland. Thank God for all the padding in this train. More rules. There were plenty of rules. We pretty much took over several Cyclone trains. We all just sort of hung out in the station. Good afternoon, Jahan! How Swee! It is the Cyclone!
