DoinItForTheFame 3
Mystic Timbers looks great!! I'm sad that we won't make it out this year. . .but we are postponing the 16 hour drive till next year so we can hit up New Mean Streak as well! Anywho, the new coaster looks great. I'm glad to see the park getting a new woodie!!
DorneyKid14 4
Mystic Timbers looks amazing!!! On a completely different note, have they always had the fence around the water park on the map?
KICoasterkev 0
Yes, looking back at my old park maps of 2014, 2015 and 2016, the fence is there. They did a good job adding Mystic Timbers to the park map.
Voyager6442 0
I'm looking forward to Mystic Timbers along with a lot of you. How wild do you think it will be compared to GCI's other coasters?
SFOGdude25 0
I had a weird dream last night that I was riding Mystic Timbers on a train full of snarky coaster enthusiasts. The ride started strong but then got to the turn around and slowed down considerably. The whole train proceeded to boo loudly while I just started to feel sad that the ride didn't turn out very thrilling. Dream ended before I got to the shed lol. Hopefully the real ride will turn out better than my dream haha. I think the it'll at least be very good. The layout doesn't look quite as good as more twisty GCIs like Thunderhead, but Timbers looks like it'll have lots of fast-paced floater airtime and a few good twisty moments. I'm not expecting to be blown away by it, but it'll be a really solid addition to Kings Island. I've been asking for a GCI coaster at KI for years and this fits the bill well. Can't wait to marathon it at Coasterstock this year.
CaptainUnknown 24
As I just recently learned with Fun Spot Orlando's White Lightning, it is never to underestimate a GCI's Wildness factor. MT will be an amazing coaster so I only have 2 questions: -What's in the Shed? -How will it compare to Beast--especially at night?
defrocker 0
As with all new rides, it will take some time for some of the surrounding vegetation to grow in thicker. As such, I don't see this delivering night rides on the scale of the beast. On the Beast, once you leave the lift hill, you no longer feel like you're in a park. That being said, this does look at least fairly secluded. It's safe to say that these night rides will not disappoint, but I'd hold off final judgment for a few years to see just how thick the surroundings will grow in. After all, the Beast's forest has almost 40 years head start.
boldikus 96
I had a weird dream last night that I was riding Mystic Timbers on a train full of snarky coaster enthusiasts. You could've just said coaster enthusiasts. We know we're snarky.

AstrumSpark 0
Does anyone know what's inside the shed yet? If not any guesses? (I say it's a drop track a la Verbolten).
Ape 1
Don't know also don't care. I would rather find out on my first ride though I don't think it will be much. I will be riding it early as a part of the first rider auction but wont spoil it for anyone.

VF15 1
Video of testing on KI's Twitter!!! Couldn't figure out how to embed. Holy crap, that train is hauling and it's only the first test run. I probably won't be making it back to Kings Island until at least 2018 but I'll certainly be looking forward to riding this.
MillenniumFangirl 0
I'll be heading to KI in June/July, and I got to say, I'm more excited for Mystic Timbers than I thought I would be when it was first announced. I have a feeling it's going to be epic. Still can't help but wonder about the shed, though.
drummermattk 0
Over on KICentral, a neat little interview with Adam House from GCI was posted, and it was all about Mystic Timbers. Midgetman82 0
I got a day planned to sneak a visit and try it out in late April/early May. I'm not overly excited for the coaster, but it's the best new thing going for me this year in any park, so I'll take it! Looks to be a really solid addition to the park. Also, a note to future riders of Mystic Timbers: once you've experienced it, for the love of all that's holy, please don't spoil the shed for the rest that have yet to (I'm sure Media Day POV's will do that already, though). Vonni 0
^ Yeah, don't hold out hope for that! Everyone on the internet will know what is in the shed within the first few cycles of the ride lol!
boldikus 96
Yeah the inevitable collective sigh of disappointment from across the enthusiast community over whats actually in the shed will be deafening once this puppy opens. I'm still gunning for a bunch of animatronic gardening tools.
