I find the Vekoma seats to be much more comfortable. The B&M restraints feel very bulky and fairly uncomfortable. I much prefer the clasping vest on the Vekomas. Sorry I should have stated, I haven't been on a Vekmoa flying coaster. I've been on a B&M though and I was comfortable. I will compare when I go to Kings Island. That was a great way to beat the heat on the hot summer days: Get some food and find a table to sit and watch the ice show. Maybe next year won't be such a letdown after all -james dillaman I agree I used to enjoy doing that also. For me that would be better news then the flyer. The OTSR on the B&M's are big bulky, thick hard rubber/foam. On a Vekoma, the restraints are like a big vest, made a soft thin foam vest. I've been on B&M's at SFOG, SFGA, and found the seating more comfortable. I also like the separated ankle restraints on the B&M's at SFGA that in my opinion gives a more flying experience. On the Vekoma flying D's your feet are more on a floor so it lessons the open air feeling to me. Never the less, I like the Vekoma Flying D's better as a whole because there more intense (the B&M are so smooth and seem so forceless with the exception of the Pretzel loop) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I took it a little out of context. It just seems that most people tend to prefer B&Ms anyway, and I'm the exact opposite. B&Ms aren't bad, I've just found myself very uncomfortable recently in their seats. Especially when they have you stacked on the brake run for 10 minutes. Vekoma's can get uncomfortable as well when you're on your back staring straight at the sun. The flyer concept in general is uncomfortable. Still, a great great ride and I cant wait for it to be up and running. X-Flop was pants when it opened, awful to ride, slow loading and not a very nice ride position or ride experience. (Anyone want to hazard a guess as to whether i liked this coaster or not?) Honestly if you told me these workers were working on a new coaster, I wouldn't believe you. This is why I really wished Kings Island would give us some pictures and videos of what the ride and area will actually look like when finish. Following construction when you don't know what the end product will look like may be fun, but personally I'd like to see where they are going with all this work that is being done.
