Ever get into a fight at a theme park?

Recommended Posts

I worked at SFOT in HS running the race games (Horses across the track,ect..) and had this redneck father with mullet come to my game with his kid. I rolled the ball down to his kid and he took it as I was throwing something at his child. He got up, cursed me out and threw a cue ball at me,which grazed my right eye and came pretty close to hitting me in the temple. I called the security team and had the redneck, trashy wife and his kid all escorted from the park, and filed charges with the Arlington PD. It ended up this guy had a record a long and had outstanding warrants as well. He was hauled off in handcuffs and ended up getting a year in jail on the assult.

Sorry to hear about that incident, but at least he ended up at the white trash dump with the rest of them.

Countless arguements have happened at SFNE including one bad one when I was cut (well they tried to cut) waiting for Time Warp. Not sure if I won that one... they only knew a few words in English and it probably wasn't learned by accident.

The only physical altercation I ever got into was pushing someone the hell outta line for Tomb Raider at PKI. What part "Hell f*cking no, you're not getting in front of me after I waited an hour." don't you understand?

Im not very proud of this but I have been in a big fight at Raging Waters in LA. Me and 3 of my friends were there about 3 yrs ago. We were playing HS football and are now playing college football so we are pretty built me being 6'1, 225 at the time. Anyways we were in line for the multi person raft ride when these latino dudes cut in front of us to join their fried who was waiting in line. We didnt pay it any mind but when they were calling for their other friends to join them by saying that they were in front of these ni**ers not negroes but ni**ers. We got extremely mad and started to say we didnt like them saying that how would they like it if we called them we**acks. They didnt like us saying that so one of them pushed me. I have a very short fuse and thus I punched him knocking him out. Next thing I know his friends start swinging and me and my friends start swinging and it was a big brawl. Their friends who they were calling to also came over and joined in on the fight. It was crazy it ended up being like 11 on 4. People were jumping outa line to keep from being punched. Unfortunately on of the Latino dudes hit this little kid as he was trying to move out of the way. Security was called and we all were escorted from the park. San Dimas PD was there waiting for us to take us all down to the police station. Turned out the mother of the child filed charges against the guy who hit her kid and with us being only 17 at the time and all of them being over 18 they got in pretty deep trouble. The park security took statements from the people standing in line and I guess that basically excused us because that night as our parents came to pick us up they said the charges against us were being dropped. The guy who hit the kid was given 2yrs in jail.

...this group of like 5 black chicks (from the way freestylinut sounds maybe some of his kin folk... ) watching the whole ordeal and as soon as the latin dudes got close to them one of the black chick was on her cell phone and she was talking to somebody but obviously she wanted the latin dudes to hear her...

Actually, for the record, I'm Puerto Rican...but I AIN'T about none of that line jumping junk & I'm VERY respectful. I'm 5'10" about 190lbs...so I've held my own in the past.

Damn, some wild stories up in here! Just to have to have a situation in a theme park like this really ticks me off!!!

Knock on wood, but I've NEVER had a problem with line jumpers. And I'm a pass holder to several theme parks.

I take that back...

I went to go see that terrible, boring a$$ movie Dark Water this last Sunday and some 40-ish dude with his very young son I guess was in such a rush to see Fantastic Four, he skipped the wrap around line & took the next attendant at the box office as soon as one opened up! And yes, I was next! I was gonna tell him some s**t (cause I be doing that sometimes ), but he had a little boy with him...I tell ya, I'm tired of being Mr. Nice Papi!

I never got into a fight before at a park. I'm not the violent type, but I can keep my side of a debate going strong.

The only time I got into an almost heated debate was with this kid at SFNE and we were talking about the tallest coaster and he was saying, "I'm going to go to CP and ride TTD which is the tallest coaster." At the time, KK was already open, so I said, "TTD isn't the tallest coaster, it's Kingda Ka at SFGAdv" So it kinda went back and forth from there until I said the specifications of Kingda Ka and he shut up.

Well, not a fight, but I did once have a knife pulled on me at SFMM. I was waiting in line, and a group of three or four guys starts pushing past everyone to get up to the front. I shouted out "Hey" as the pushed past me, and one of the guys pulls out a 4" switchblade and says "wanna make something of it?"

Needless to say, I didn't.

I've never been in a fight but I saw a really heated shouting match between a park guest and a Six Flags employee. It was CRAZY! So every year for my birthday (my birthday is on Halloween... hence the screen name "Spookbaby") I get a whole bunch of people and we go to Fright Fest. Well, we were at the Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois and we were walking through the section that had all the scary ass clowns walking around. Well, as you know it's their job to chase people and be obnoxious and scary. Well, this one like 16 year old kid thought he was (according to him) a "thug." The kid was ticked because he was trying to act all tough and the clown came up behind him and made him scream like what i thought at first was a 3 year old girl. So he started calling the scary clown dude aweful names and stuff and then the clown started yelling back and the kid lunged at him and the other clowns came and held the one the kid was yelling at back. A huge crowd gathered and it was this huge deal. It was pretty funny at first because while the kid was yelling mean things the clown had a bull horn and was just saying funny sarcastic things. It wasn't till the kid tried to attack the employee did it get scary.

At SFGAv:

Last year, my twin, firend and I were in line for Spin Meister when this idiot around our age started messing with us. He started making fun of me, but it wasn't even offensive, it was just stupid $#!T. My friend and my twin started laughing becuase this kid was so stupid! He was all, "Look even theyr'e making fun of you!" Then they laughed harder. Then he went completely off subject and pointed to the Big Wheel and said, "That carousel is bigger than this carousel" Now pointing to Spin Meister.

This kid was so stupid. he thought he was tough. He just said words. Thought hw could bring me down. Toon bad for hime. We got on the ride and kept talking, and I just looked at him and said , "STFU !" And he walked away. What a pussy. I don't know where he was from, but he definately didn't come from the city.

The same day^v

My sister, best firend, twin, my sisters best friend (semi-family), and I were going on Runaway Mine Train, this woman was screaming at the women in front of her. The woman had a child, and her husband with her. This woman kept screaming and cursing at her, because she was "Standing on top of her"! Let me remind you. The woman was in FRONT of her!

In all honesty, the women that was being screamed at, did absolutely nothing! She talked camly, and the women is screaming (She had a kid, but her kid was with some one else)! Her husband was trying to yell at the other "CRAZY" women! I tried even getting the operaters, WHO KNEW THIS WAS GOING ON! And they did absolutely NOTHING about it ! When the calm lady sat behind me, I said dshe was the good one! And the "CRAZY" lady just flipped! I was so happy they were running two trains that night! It was really funny though. It was really great when her 6 year old son a few rows down, looked at the woman he was with and said, "Why is mom being crazy" That's when I laughed hard.

4/17/05:

Here's were I'll rant about the treatment we got at GASM today. my 9 year old Savannah and I went up GASM's exit using the VIG pass. We get there. We wait one train. Than they switch staff. This man niyvin (Scrambled for protection, very easy to figure out) kept running the empty rows. We waited 6 turns. Than finally got on. We got in the seet. And they siad they had to check Savannah. She was wearing the 54inch wrist band. Well of course the sticks are all messed up, and she was TOO SHORT ! I than said, she's 54 inches, she's been on Batman and Nitro. Than niyvin (Scrambled for protection, very easy to figure out)said that the height requirment on NITRO AND SCHREAM MACHINE ARE DIFFERENT! WHAT !?!?!? They are the same! I started cursing the guy out and screaming. And I'm sorry. I over reacted, and I should of never had done that, I'm sorry for over reacting. I'm lucky I letft before4 I got reported though. Anyway, Savannah didn't get to ride today, so there's an other credit gone for now!

I've seen a few shouting matches, a little shoving, and a couple of minor fistfights over the years, but haven't been involved with any.

For whatever reason, people don't start anything with me. I'm only 5'8" and weight in at 150 lbs. soaking wet, so physically I'm not exactly a threat.

Maybe I just look like I'll whoop their ass if they mess with me. I have had gangbangers walk past me at night during my walks without stirring up any trouble---and where I walk, they easily could.

  • 2 years later...

Bring up old subject!!!!

About 2 years ago, me, my cuzzo (cousin) and my sister were at SFA about to ride Two Face. We were infront of these 2 girls and behind about 3 groups of people. Then my sister starts looking for her purse. She thinks she left it outside the station so she leaves and comes back over and over again. Eventually the hoes behind my sister and my cuzzo get mad. So they didnt let my sister back infont of them. Our ride was next so my cuzzo pulled my sister through them and that made them even more mad. I might of said move out of the way bi*ches lol. So as we are on the ride and the ride ops are locking everyone in, the hoes finally say something. (If you have ever rode Two Face, you'll know that the air gates are very tall and look like jail bars.) So we look at them like they are stupid and call them pussies and bi*ches. As the ride goes up the lift, we flick them off. We also flick them off again when the ride comes back through the station, both times! After the ride we decide to wait for them and beat their a$$es. But they had left the line after our ride. Those f*ckin pussies!

We eventually saw them again when we were heading towards Superman. When they saw us they mean mugged us and ran towards Skull Island (section of park with Roar and Skull Mountain)

When I was a ride op at Camp Snoopy/Park at MOA, I seemed to have people coming after me all of the time. I'm a little short and not very intimidating so I always had to be extra stern when enforcing policies. I've seen people get kicked out for being drunk among other things (liquor is served in many of the restaurants in the mall).

The best would have to be when some kid got kicked out for jumping out of his boat on the Paul Bunyan Log Chute and slapping Babe on the butt before running to get back in.

^Hmm--it sounds to me like there was plenty of uncol behavior to go around on both sides here. Frankly, I think your entire party should've left the line when your sister went to find her purse, especially since she came and went "over and over again."

Upping the ante while you were on the ride was immature--not the sort of behavior anybody likes to see at a theme park (or anywhere else). In a way, I think you were the fortunate ones when the other group left the line, as if you had, in fact, "beat" on them, you would've been kicked out of the park, at best.

I nearly got beaten up in the queue for Stealth at Thorpe Park last year!

To cut a long story short, there were a bunch of guys queue barging pretty much right to the front of the queue by jumping over the fence and then forcing their way through people.

English people being the nice folk they are, let these guys push through and don't say anything.

Then I step in as I've been patiently waiting in the queue for over an hour. I see the guys coming up behind me and I put both my arms out across the queue holding on to the fences on either side so they can't pass. What follows is a 15 minute argument, the guys shouting at me and abusing me right in my face, but me not budging. At this point, this mum with a handbag gets involved and helps me and eventually the whole queue is with me and the guys are forced out!

They threatened to beat me up and 'get' me after the ride, but I never saw them again!

I witnessed a altercation at Geauga Lake. I was standing with my cousins at the main gate waiting for the other members of my family to come back from X-Flight. All of a sudden these two ladies started going at each other. One would say "your out of my life" the other one would shoot back "don't ever call me again." While this was happening the "Freedom" show was going on so there were all these lights and loud patriotic music blaring while these two women were going at it. Everyone was watching and listening to them announcing the problems with their relationship, and to make matters worse they were cussing each other out with their young children next to them.

I'm sorry, but I can't believe you just posted that here! You will probably pay no attention to this, coming from a 14 year old, but that was one of the most stupid, immature posts I have ever read!

First of all, enthusiasts should be leaders at amusement parks. We complain about people acting stupid, so what you just posted displays hypocriticism.

If anyone deserved to be "beat" after the ride, it was you. First of all, your party was involved with line jumping, which is STRICTLY forbidden at amusement parks. Secondly, you totally disrupted a family environment. People come to parks to have fun, not get cussed at and flicked off...

I actually got into a fistfight at Disneyland once, allthough it was pretty quick and one-sided. We had gotten our food at Rancho Zocalo, and were searching for a table to eat at. The place was packed, and after about 5-8 minutes of searching, we were starting to get desperate.

Suddenly, I see this empty table in the outdoor eating area. When we get to it, I see it's empty, but there's this tiny gift shop bag sitting on it. Really tiny, like one that just holds a keychain. I look around, and don't see anyone that seems to be laying claim to the bag, so I start to wonder if it's there to save a table or somebody left and forgot it.

I figure, it would be strange and foolish for someone to purposely leave their gift shop purchase unattended at Disneyland where it could be stolen, so it must have been left behind on accident. (I suppose my desire for a table probably also played into my thought process as well.) I picked up the bag and took it to the nearest cashier, telling her someone left it behind on a table. She put it under her kiosk for lost and found, and I returned to the table.

About 10 minutes into our meal, this famly (husband wife, 2 pre-teen kids) shows up and starts screaming "what did you do!?! Where's our stuff!?!"

I asked, "the gift bag?" and they just kept screaming, "our stuff, what did you do with our stuff?!" Everyone around stopped eating and started watching the circus unfolding. I told them, "I figured you had forgotten it and I gave it to the cashier as lost and found." They just stood there staring at me, as if they expected me to pack up my family and leave, so I said, "listen, the table was empty and we're just trying to accommodate everyone." The husband then moved up to me, grabbed my food tray with one hand, and my arm with the other in an attempt to physically remove me from the table.

At that point, I was pissed, and figured he had initiated physical contact, so it was on. As he pulled me up, I threw two quick punches. One caught him in the mouth, and one on the cheek. He stumbled back and seemed genuinely shocked that I had punched him. He and his family retreated, with the wife screaming, "you people have no class! No class!" the entire time in this nasty Wisconsin -like accent. I can still hear that shrieking to this day. Ugh.

The rest of the meal, I was expecting security or Anaheim PD to show up, but nobody ever did. Nobody at the tables around us seemed to say or do anything either. I guess they were as annoying to them as they were to us.

Besides the obvious reasons in most of these posts, (linejumping & alcohol), there's one other reason I can think of that I've witnessed more fights and arguments from over the years...and that's halloween events.

No matter what park I go to at halloween time, (usually KI or CP though), I'm bound to witness some idiot who thinks it's his job to nag at the monsters all night long, then undoubtedly they scare him back or embarrass him and he gets all ticked off.

This past year at CP in Carnevil, one kid was doing what I mentioned above, and was cracking up about it. The clowns ganged up on him, and the clown who pushed around a CP trash can with a siren attached to it, snuck up on him and scared the crap out of him. This caused him to be embarrased, and he got mad and started cussing the clown out and threatening him...and CP police were right there to calm him down, and escort him away.

A couple more heated arguements just came to mind, now that a couple years have passed since this topic's last activity.

Most recent one was last season at CGA. Some overweight lady (no offense to anyone of that nature) was sitting on a bench about 30 feet from the Carn-Evil queue, and no one was there yet. Given a half hour before it opened, my bro and I got in line...I said "Cool! We're the first ones of the day!" From nowhere, I hear this obese lady voice say "Uh, I have been waiting here for 2 hours. No one is cutting in front of me." Coming back out of the queue, this lady's still rambling on and on as we kept our cool and remained quiet. Finally, I said "Wow..I never knew it was a crime to get in line!" (Giving the hint that she was technically not even in line to begin with, just sitting nearby.)

Some GP walking by at the time when it happened when we got in line stood up for us. This lady continues to fly off the handle as we chill on a nearby bench. Finally, tired of hearing her fat arse, and seeing her actually lift her arse off the bench like she was going to do something, I told a nearby attendant at a drink stall that he may want to get security as things are getting pretty hairy.

Seconds later, security arrives, and settles things down. Unfortunately, she got her way and she felt rather proud of her baby fit she had...and I'm sure she probably had the worst of the scaring as no one was in front of her.

Another one that happened a few years back happened to our group's fortune. At a local family entertainment center/go karts, my bro next in line. My bro, being a kid, runs to his go-kart as he knew which ones ran better and wouldn't cut out on him. I'm like a cycle behind watching this as suddenly my bro gets pulled right back out of the kart by someone else who wanted to be by his kid. This guy was actually a leader of a church group and doing physical contact on people he doesn't even know. That lit my fuse, I was tempted to hop the rail and confront him right there. The better side of me told me to catch him when he least expects it so I did.

After my ride, maybe 15 minutes later, I spot the guy once again, with the rest of the group. I asked him firmly "What do you think you're doing putting your hands on my bro?" Scared, the guy says "Well, uh...I wanted to ..uh...sit by my son" I told him "You have no right doing this. You keep your hands off of him." Suddenly as a quick turn-around, he starts kissing up to me and praising me for defending my bro. Not taking this BS and still frustrated, I took this situation to the manager. We spotted the guy again, and they had words with him, as well as security. The end result was that pretty much the "Youth Leader" screwed his whole Church group over by getting kicked out of the park, police escorted.

Lastly, just last visit, waiting in a 1/2 hour line for Logger's Run. Not wanting to deal with line jumpers, I purposely block the queue by stretching out across as these 2 guys maybe older than me kinda barge their way through. They claimd themselves as 'security.' I figured it would be best to leave this situation alone as I could have made it into an ugly situation...I was hoping people ahead would have complained but never happened...

Actually for your information, she had lost her purse and was trying to find it so she went looking for it. The girls started the whole "fight" by yelling and cursing at us. We weren't really going to beat them up, we were just going to yell and maybe something would happen.
