Photo Trip Report - Morey's Piers / Wildwood, NJ

Recommended Posts

Crosses fingers on making this on TPR front page.

A long time ago, in a place extremely near by grew a fire, of which burn down the bumper cars.

Games now shall be played where bumper cars once stood!

Parking signs here are hilarious, the All Day going up to 6pm? Man were some people psst during the night.

The new Birds-crapping-on-your-head ride!

The new Black Hole across from AtmosFear!

So after hitting all the Water Slides at Ocean Oasis Water Park, we hear something testing above! The Great Nor'Easter is back in operation!

So while we wait to ride it, we decided to play some in-queue chess.

Early morning SLC-smooth action.

In front of the line and five minutes before opening, Dustin found a balloon and it happen to pop from the noise of the coaster, haha.

Some of the new signage. Morey's is really treating this upgrade as a entire new ride.

Still time to grab 8x rides on AtmosFear before riding GNE!

Man I am really fond of these Freedom-Lestor Trains!

And the log flume was amazing like always!

NOO!! Don't go in the hole! You don't know whats in there!

But now that the new-super smooth Great Nor'easter is open, we can enjoy the ride!

Only thing I noticed today was the seats would be jammed up and down causing weird and unpleasant vibrations. (NOTE THATS WHAT SHE SAID)

The more and more I look at this picture, the more captions that comes to my mind.

Coaster porn.

After a ton of rides and hours in the water park, it was time to begin our quest for food!

After a twenty minute walk.. we made it.

Food Count:

Hot Dogs - 3x

Burgers - 2x

Chicken - 1 1/2x

Salad - 1x

Pizza Slices - 2x

Drinks - 8x

Got to love free food!

And the after math of the ketchup.

Back to the first pier of the day for more Great Nor'easter!

This SLC is probably the most photogenic one I've seen.

And you can get under it at any given spot! Man, these captions are setting me up for more That's what she saids.

More taking control of the atmosphere.

And even some Doo Whopper!

Pink car leaves the station.

HAY! IM ON A BIRD THATS GOING TO HIDE ME AND FEED ME TO ITS LITTLE CHICKSS!!!

Log Flume was still fun for the entire day!

And when the afternoon blue in the sky, the Nor'easter sticks out so great in pictures!

ALL SLCS NEED THESE TRAINS.

One last shoot of it.

Anime-weeds as flowers shot.

This is something unusual.

The main entrance to Morey's!

We are just that cool that we get our own banner.

After missing out of Sea Serpent last time, I finally got to hit it today.

It felt the exact same as last year, but those breaks always get me dizzy.

Still the smoothest boomerang I've been on.

They closed the line right after we got in due to staff going on break, so we had basically the trains to ourselves. Dustin and I in the front, Dad and sister in the back.

So afterward, a huge thunderstorm hit the park and closed everything! About thirty minutes we sat in the car, and finally it cleared up, leaving a huge rainbow.

Its hard to take pictures of a rainbow, haha.

Don't worry Great White, we're coming!

Here we are!

Sorry train, no love for you today.

Here is where my pictures begin to suck as night-time comes in.

Great White was AMAZING after the rain! Ejector EVERYWHERE!

And it was so smooth.

Great White as seen from the even clownage maze.

And we finish off with Bench: The Ride!

Nice pics. Even with the new trains, Nor'Easter still does nothing for me. It was still shaking like a footsie wootsie for our 2 rides on it earlier in the year. I'll be going down this Saturday for the event, can't wait!

Seems to still be in good condition for all these years of SBNO, though I have no idea about the inside.

The ride was built in 1960 by John Allen / Philadelphia Toboggan Company, and was a unique coaster type dark ride hybrid. The ride incorporated Bill Tracy props and gags into the action, these alone would make the ride worth saving

^I am going to say, Great White is most likely my number two woodie in New Jersey, of course behind El Toro. In the back row, and especially after the rain storm gave some great air, and it is really smooth. Also the views from it are pretty sick of the ocean and the towns of Wildwoods. So to vote it on a scale of one to ten, I'll give it a 8.

Nice TR, and cool pics as well. Sounds like it was a good time. I made it to Wildwood for the first time last year and absolutely loved the atmosphere! I'm intrigued by these new trains for their SLC. I thought it was a good ride with an amazing placement, but kind of bumpy in many spots. Course I'm weird to begin with since I actually tend to enjoy SLCs. Great White looks great, and I was bummed we didn't get a chance to ride it. We had a huge storm as well, but once it started it rained all night!

Well for the person who asked about pricing; you have to remember I've truthfully never paid to get into the piers before. We were invited with free food, wrist bands to all three piers, and 75% off all extra-paid extreme attractions.

If you looking for actual prices, visit Morey's official site. But they are pretty reasonable, plus free soda for regular guests on week days!

Josh great photo trip report and video once again! I'm still in the early planning stages of my wildwood trip this year, but I will get there. Thanks for sharing. Are the water parks worth it? I may like to do the water park, but I don't know yet.

Great pics! I noticed you spent a lot of time by the Great Nor' Easter. I spend almost all day by Great White when I go because I love woodies & even though The Great Nor' Easter got new trains I'm still not a fan of SLCs or Boomerangs; in other words I'm not a fan of Vekoma at all except Batwing at SFA

Great Nor' Easters new trains look better than ever, I just don't like the color of the coaster. They really need to change the color.

Great pictures. I love some of the night shots.

Are you serious???? That new white color looks fantastic. It sure is a step up from its old color. Cotten Candy Pink!!

I wish they would just open the Golden Nugget on the pier its currently on

Wow..Wildwood is looking great! Do you know if they have a pay one price for all the piers or is it pay as you go?

It's $45 for a wristband on a normal day. The best deal is on Tuesday, they open at 12:30 and they sell a wristband for $20 that expires at 6:00.

I considered getting a season pass but since I am under 26 it's $350! ($260 for anyone 26 and older). I'd have to visit 8 times at the regular price for it to pay for itself.
