Walt Disney World Resort Non-Park Discussion Thread

^I've never seen a listing of top grossing restaurants before but that's pretty interesting. Now I'm curious and kind of wonder where some non-independent restaurants would fall on this list. Like is there a random Longhorn Steakhouse out there in America doing like $25 million a year? Or where would something like a Capitol Grille in Chicago or DC rank on this list? No idea but thanks for sharing.

This new show follows the story of Julie, a courageous and determined girl who discovers an unexpected gift left by her late father: an unfinished animation piece. Guided by a surprising pencil, she embarks on an inspiring quest sprinkled with her Disney childhood memories. Through this journey, she learns to imagine new possibilities and animate the story of her future.

“Drawn to Life” is the product of a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering. The show will open for previews March 20, 2020, and officially debut April 17, 2020. Tickets are on sale now at DisneyWorld.com/Cirque.

^ Here's hoping the new show is more in line with Cirque's regular repertoire than R.U.N. at Luxor. Worst show I've ever seen, hands down.

Wow it was really that bad? That's disappointing because since the ads I saw and the concept looked interesting.

A lot of the cirque shows I've seen are hit or miss. I did enjoy the Avatar one and the concept of this new Disney one looks great.

It's a 75 minute show, 35 of which are just media on projection screens. I'm not exaggerating that number. When there were actual performers on the stage it was lackluster and unpleasant (there's a very long torture scene) and none of the action had a fast pace. The stunt work was on par with a low budget theme park stunt show. Just an awful, awful show.

My family always used to stay at a Drury when they came to visit me in college and I'd kind of forgotten about the brand til this. Always found it to be a pretty nice option, and the free drinks (including beer and wine if I remember correctly) and snacks every evening was always a nice little bonus to include. I'll absolutely consider staying here for a little weekend trip once it opens.

Since this was about all the Disney parks/resorts around the world, I thought I'd post it on this thread.

This was posted to TPR Tweets, and I thought it'd be a valid question to ask everybody,

even those not on social media that much....like myself.

What year was your first visit to:

⭐ Disneyland - 1963

⭐ Walt Disney World - 1987 (MK and EPCOT); 1991 (Hollywood Studios)

⭐ Tokyo Disneyland Resort - 2007

⭐️ Disneyland Paris - 2002

⭐ Hong Kong Disneyland - 2012

⭐️ Shanghai Disneyland - Not yet.
