ebl
These markers are sure covering a wide range of territory within the park. For some reason, I can't see this new ride going all over the place. Â Perhaps some of the markers designate other things that need to be done; power lines, sprinklers, etc., who knows? Since I don't speak construction-ese, I certainly couldn't tell you what anything written on those stakes could mean. Â Eric
socalMAN123
^If the markers were for power lines or sprinklers, why would they say Q-Bldg and Elv? I think it's a new coaster. Hopefully SFMM makes it a good one and not a clone of any other ride (Scream is an exact copy of Medusa at SFMW). ---Brent 8)

Jew
To tell you the truth, the park has been shaping up more than people are willing to admit  Not really...  Oh, and I believe blue tags with first and last names are for all fulltime employees of the park...but I don't remember for sure (even though I have one).  Scream! is a Mirror Medusa @ SFGADv.  -Joey "100 million dollars really isn't enough to fix SFMM" Mandel
robbalvey
^ At least they aren't running one train on Batman, Riddler's, X, and Goliath all summer long like they did in 2003. coasters 4 me
^Wow!! That must have really sucked. How long were the queues? The queue for the hulk was nearly 1hr 30mins one time and they were running 3 trains.
robbalvey
^ It was BAD! That summer there were 3 hours waits all over the park! X, Deja Vu, Riddler's, Batman, and Goliath all had 2-3 hours waits on most weekend days and some weekdays too. Â In comparison, we only waited 20 minutes for Batman last Sunday. socalMAN123
^Man, I can't imagine one train on Goliath or Riddler. I've already exepierenced one train Batman and X (my X wait was four hours my Batman two). Faultline
Q-Walk could mean..... ..........................................Post holes  Just about every ride had an amazingly long que walk at one time. The Pathway up the mountain that went to superman and ninja, (that passes spinout) has these little holes in the ground that show where poles were once at. These post holes are every where around ninja too. Infact i have to say Batman has the best "once a pone a que line" record. Besides the line that runs out to that little goltham city town, on the outside of the que, there are pole holes that lead to this little box of concrete behind attom smasher and then even further back to where the old batmobile used to be. But dont get the post holes confused with the post holes that were used to enclose the Batmobile. Wow, its dumb that i know this much.  Anywas, its obvious SFMM plans to add a billion posts for the opening month of this attraction and then leave post holes behind a month later. (When the standing que only uses up 1/8th of the intended built que)  Rock Em, -Bryan
robbalvey
^ Yeah, that's exactly what I figured Q-walk to mean too. Just look at all the post holes from Roaring Rapids all the way to Psyclone that were installed during the Bobsled/Shock Wave days! Jew
^^The Stanchion holes by Atom Smasher and the old Batmobile spot are for "Brutal Planet" during Fright Fest. Â Riddler's has stanchion holes that run from the entrance to behind the rock climbing wall and then back down towards the cantina. SharkTums
New pictures from Sunday July 24th! And here's Orient Express still closed at the bottom. Grrr...I really hope this reopens after construction and doesn't get ripped out! Here's the top of that closed off path. You can see that they've ripped out most of the stairs and handrails! I wonder if the ones up top are staying, or are next to be ripped out. My legs hurt more than they should because of this! Orient Express is now closed...and random garbage and pieces are piling up next to it. Gardens are almost all gone now. The fact that the trees are still up though...maybe they'll find another home for them. Sign is still up on the other side of the hill! Another view of the closed path, from the other side you can see that it's almost all ripped out now. LIARS!!! Orient Express is closed too! There's the Samuri Summit sign...so sad...but the sign is still up on the other side, so I don't know if they're retheming or just had to move it. As reported, the path from Roaring Rapids up the hill is now closed. =(
arrowfanman
WOW...a lot has really happened in 3 days. Thanks a ton for the pics! Â That walk from the front of the park, to ninja is HELL. I hope that not only is the Orient Express saved, but I hope that the path leading to rapids is re-routed. Â BTW...When I made my 7/21 update, you can see green arrows pointing forward, where the path was now ripped out. So I dont think they will rip any more out for now...just a guess though. Guy T. Koepp
Whatever this thing is. (Probably a B&M flyer) It's going to be huge! Where it seems to sit indicates that it won't be a clone. Unless they plan on flattening all that land. Â Wouldn't it be cool if the ride they removed was the monorail. That way they could use the tunnel through the hill as a fly through with a heart line element in the dark. That would be wicked! Â If it is a Flyer. I hope they name it "The California Condor" Â Has anyone seen any markers inside or around the the actual "Roaring Rapids" ride? It would be great to be over water. Â Better yet... It would be super cool if it dove into the water. That way all the riders could grab rainbow trout in their talons. You know like a California Condor would. Ohh Ohhh! And the loading station could be built like a giant birds nest. Those of us who are parents could eat the fish then cough it up so that our kids could eat it right out of our mouths. Now that's a ride experience!! Why am I not in charge of the themeing for this ride. Someone write a letter on my behalf. arrowfanman
Has anyone seen any markers inside or around the the actual "Roaring Rapids" ride? It would be great to be over water. Â There are markers under the queue and exit, but none that I could find around the ride. Â In my honest opinion, and this is speculation, and I always bag on people for speculating, and now im doing it myself, is that if the rumor from screamscape is true, of there being an immelman on the ride, I think it will go there, thus meaning it turns around and unfortunately never enters the Rapids area. Sir Clinksalot
Ugh, that's a LONG walk up to Superman now. Â But hopefully this means shorter lines for Superman and Ninja.
ahecht
What are thjey doing about handicapped access to Ninja and Superman? I would think the path on the Gold Rusher side is much too steep to be a legal wheelchair route. Are they running golf carts or something?
Sir Clinksalot
^ I think that's the only access for now. It's pretty steep, but I'm thinking it would still qualify.
SharkTums
I was wondering the same thing...if they're violating any ADA laws or even just common sense. There is NO way that it is safe for a manual wheelchair to be on that hill. I know that Dollywood/Silver Dollar City, have marked paths saying no wheelchairs, and they aren't nearly as steep at the SFMM hill. Â I was thinking that yeah sure if someone complains they could run a golf cart up there, but then I realized, wouldn't that be breaking a whole lot of other laws for theme parks!!?? Â Oh well, there were a lot less people up there! Â Elissa "my guess is, no one has even thought of this problem!" Alvey
ECZenith
The latest from the rumor mill is that this ride would be the "tallest and fastest flying coaster". Alvey  ^ Sounds like she beat you to the inside seat  About the wheel chair thing. I think that if anyone is in a wheelchair there; there's a good chance that they have someone pushing them. I think that the Spin out path is legal. I mean, usually places consider those types of things when they're building the place.  Michael"The use of the tunnel is a sweet idea!"Thomas
