Nice park. Crowds were very light.

FoF was closed the whole day and only one side of Rebel Yell was running.

Dominator kicks a$$. Very good and long coaster.

Avalance was running only 1 train which resulted in the longest row of the park.

This one had nearly all effects working. They 2 we rode earlier, had only a small part of the effects working. CF really should do something about that.

I love it when the train disappears under the water for a moment. Nice gimmick. Only a pitty that you can't get closer to that point.

This Arrow was fairly ok. We rode it in the frontrow and turned our head in the right direction I guess ;-)

@ GAdv

Im sooooooooooooo suprised that their operations were so bad! This year has been amasing with the park ops! Not as you describe tho! Hopefully they will shape up for Saturday!

Yesterday, with much lighter crowds, it worked out better. At a lot of rides, they now managed to get the trains dispatched before the previous train arrived at the station.

One example : at most rides, they opened the gates immediately after the train came to a stand still in the station so that people could start taking place. On Monday, they waited till everyone of the previous train had left the loading platform before opening the gates for the next riders.

It looks like heavy crowds make the ride ops work more slowly for some reason.

Ah, KD looks very nice! But apparently not much good coasters?! Good thing the crowds were light then...

Love the aerial views, especially the one of Anaconda. I really love the Arrow lay outs, although I've never seen one in real life.

Anyway, keep the pictures coming and have fun over there!

Quick question---you all rode Dominator and Medusa within days of each other....how do you think they compare?

KD is one of my local parks, but I don't really like it, so I don't go much.

However, KD still has plenty of cool stuff for a first time visitor. Cedar Fair has made it worse though IMO.

May 29th Busch Gardens Europe.

What a beautiful park. The first well themed park we visited on our trip.

May 30th Six Flags America.

Our last park of the trip.

We had to catch our plane at Washington Dulles at 5.30 PM so we left SFA at 1 o'clock.

The park was not too busy so we could easily get our credits. Two Face was still closed due to maintainance.

This park is home to one of the three Superman Ride of Steel. I was really excited to ride one of those but it was a bad ride.

It was bumpy, the first hill has no airtime at all and the helixes aren't forceful and they ruined the Intamin comfort by adding some extra safety devices on the train. I'm glad that Goliath is in my home park in stead of Sros.

The Sros at Six Flags New England must be much better.

But anyway we did had a great time on our two week trip.

Thanks for all the good comments.

On to the pics.

IMG_0001_29.jpg.24535a6cb7930bbdc202c2b02ddc99f3.jpg

But like I mentioned it was a bad ride. On the first hill there was no air at all. Only on the way back there were three airtime hills but the ride was just too bumpy.

A Goliath version of 200ft/60 meter must be good.

Has this coaster the same layout as Flight of Fear at Kings Island?

Into this mess of track

See.

IMG_0001_19.jpg.e3263ec666635bf6a70eab451de52917.jpg

This was the only coaster with a line cause the kept the two middle cars closed. Does anybody know the reason for that.

The station looks nice.

The best coaster in the park.

IMG_0001_25.jpg.cb4f0e2c3da9dabb52e8274658ee52d3.jpg

The BAtwing was OK. A bit better than Firehawk at Kings Island.

IMG_0001_31.jpg.374bb0d499c6aa9af0ca65fd84f02f34.jpg

But there was a cool slide inside the park.

IMG_0001_35.jpg.244028dbc334912a90bf6a18af9ec422.jpg

The waterpark was not open on weekdays.

At least we didn't have to wait.

This was not the best SLC of the trip. (sorry same picture)

They need to trim those bushes.

IMG_0001_11.jpg.9f370c3e1ca50353bf084ada8303747b.jpg

When I looked down the first drop I was thinking this is going to hurt but the ride was surprisingly good.

I liked the version in Kings Island. So i was kind of sad that I couldn't ride. Yeah I know it's a Vekoma.

Only there is a nasty bump after the turnaround.

This coaster was great.

The wild one.

The park opened at 10 but first we had to watch to this opening show. It was entertaining though.

Info. Two Face still closed.

I have to agree with the Superman observation you made. It used to be an amazing ride, but its gotten bumpy/shakey a lot over the last few years. Wild One is kick ass though, so that makes up for it. It looks as if you 2 had an awesome time in the US! Have a safe flight back, if you haven't already done so.

Since I got back, it has been kind of hectic so I didn't have time yet to post my pics and comments of the last 2 parks. I will have time though during the weekend most probably.

For the moment, I just want to say the following : I'm glad that I'm back with my wife and daughters but .... DAMN, I miss the daily coasterrides, the food and drinks (where the hell can I buy Mountain Dew Diet out here ?) and what I miss the most, the cruise control driving in the US. It was my intention to use the cruise control on my car more here on the local roads but since I'm back I haven't been able to use it for one second.

Nice tr! I'm glad you liked SFA, I havent noticed anything bad about Superman. I loved that ride and get on it alot whenever I go. Joker had those cars blocked off because they were messed up or something. I cant remember lol. They have removed them now.

I'm considering taking a trip to SFA this month. When should I go? And also, when will Two Face reopen?

I recomend you try to get there on Friday this week. There are thunderstroms raging through this week and Thursday would be nice, but its supposed to strom all day. Friday is supposed to be sunny and a high of 91. I recomend this week because the public schools here are getting out this Friday (thank god) and that might be your last good day. If not, just go Monday - Thursday of next week.

Some people think Two Face will open this month, I think it will open atleast next month, maybe August.

Hmm--it seems to me that Two-Face has been down since last June. Oh, well, Wild One is the best ride at SFA anyway, I think. And I'm happy to see that Batwing is no longer "B T Wing."

Joker's Jinx is baciscally the "naked" version of Flight of Fear. I think it's a better ride than FoF, too (smoother, not as braked).

Glad you had a good time in the States.

While you were at BGE, was it dead all day? It usually is in the morn and early afternoon on weekdays. I'll be headin' up there on Tuesday.

Great pics and TR!

Well it wasn't too busy.

For Griffon it was only a two/three train wait for last row.

So we could do multiple rides. We saw one old guy while waiting for front row who collected all the badges from the castmembers. Don't you think that Griffon is so much better on the last row in stead of the first.

For Alpengeist we waited 45 minutes for frontrow and 20 minutes for the rest of the train.

Nessie and Big Bad Wolf were a walk on just like our first ride on Apollo's Chariot in the afternoon we waited about half an hour for front seat.

Apollo's Chariot is usually walk on anyways.

I agree, Griffy is better in the back, and that's why I always queue for the third row.

Glad you had a great time at BGE. I do every time I go, and I go like 20 times a year.

The Superman Ride Of Steel at Six Flags New England is way better than the version at Six Flags America. My favorite ride at SFA is The Wild One. But I do like Two Face as well. I wasn't very happy with my trip last year to SFA, but atleast I got all the credits so I don't have to go back!

Have they done the same adjustments to the restraints as they did in SFA. I found it very uncomfortable and it did make the train ugly.

It was open and closed on and off since last June, it finally closed in October when the hydroxide fluid sprayed people.

Why on earth would a Vekoma Invertigo need hydroxide?! Did you mean to say "hydraulic"? I hope so, otherwise those people who got sprayed are running around with chemical burns.

I'm not sure about it but I thought they also did some adjustments to EGF and those are a little bit sleeker.
