I got stuck on the lift of Mindbender at SFOG for about 10 mins and the poor older woman that was running the ride had to climb up all those stairs on the side of the lift and tell us that they had called maintnence. And then Ninja stopped for about 3 mins on the lift while I was on it.

I got stuck right near the top of the lift on Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFGAdv, which got pretty irritating to the chest after half an hour. They finally got the ride working, and then had us get off on the brake run.

It would have sucked, but we got two free tickets to the park from it, so it's all fine by me.

I got stuck in the fly position on Air (AT), Stealth (TP) broke down just before the launch, The Corkscrew (AT) restraints wouldn't open, so I had to endure another go round and finally I got stuck on Slammer (TP) boefore because the restraints wouldn't release me.

T'is a fairly big list

I was on Alpengeist's lift one time when they stopped it because they thought someone wasn't sitting on their sandles. (How does that hurt the ride operating)

Anyway...we were stuck on the lift about 15 minutes before they got it going again. Your legs start to feel like weights with the blood rushing down there.

With all the hundreds if not thousands of coaster rides I've had over the years, I've never been on a coaster where I had to walk back down the lift hill after a break down.

Also a minor thing...

On Mindbender at SFOG...either they were messing with the brakes or the system braked us too hard for some reason.

It braked us so hard that we came to a hard stop at the very end of the brake run.

So when the brakes released to let us roll on into the station, it couldn't. They had to come give us a push to get us going again.

That sounds awful. I think it's uncomfortable just climbing the lift hill on B&M flyers. I can't imagine hanging there for an extended period of time.

A couple of years ago, I went with some friends on a credit run weekend to several parks in NJ and DE. We got stuck on the lifthill of J2 (Tsunami) for about 30 minutes. The ride-op came running up the stairs, telling us not to panic! It was hilarious!! It took a couple of minutes, but we finally convinced him to take our picture.

(I'll post it as soon as the site lets me. It's giving me a FTP error message)

I got stuck on both towers of Deja Vu the first time I rode it. We got up to the top of the Psyclone side tower and we were stuck up on the holding brake, thing for a good fifteen minutes. Than they finally dropped us back and we got stuck on the other tower for another ten minutes. Getting stuck facing straight down towards the ground was not fun.

I've gotten stuck quite a few times but two were particularly memorable.

Spiderman- Halfway through the ride, all the effects just started dimming and the sound went away. Right about then, the vehicle came to a stop. We just sat there for a while until they turned on the lights. Then about ten minutes later, some workers came back and walked us back through the rest of the track and out the building. It was kind of crazy to see the building with the lights on, though it wasn't as cool as I expected.

Maverick- Maverick rollback >>>> TTD rollback!! You know you all would much rather have that Maverick rollback. But yeah, the train started to launch up the 'lift', but it was like it was having problems. It was like the magnets wanted to shoot the train, but something was pulling it back. Then, right as we got to the top, the train came to a dead stop and then slowly rolled backwards. Though, the rollback was weird. It was like some old Arrow lifts in reverse. It would speed up for a brief second, then slow down for a brief second, like a pulse. Elissa was ready to hurl on me by the time we got to the bottom.

I got stuck on the Roar at SFA. We stopped on the other Break Run before you reach the Shed which follows the station. We were there for about 10 minutes.

Then we got stuck going up backwards on the Rebel Yell for about 7 minutes. Then we got going again.

I got stuck on the log flume at Carowinds over the summer and was evacuated. There are two sides to the station, one had the break jammed. The ride ops loaded us on the other side. Everything was going perfectly fine until we reached the end. They still didn't have the break fixed when we got back around, and instead of doing the smart thing of putting us back in the side we departed from, they tried to put us on the side with the broken brake. We were then stuck in a pile up, out of reach of the station. They then proceeded to drain the flume and evac us. This took about 45 minutes. At least they offered us to come back and test ride it after they finish work.

I have been stuck on a few rides. I've gotten stuck on Nitro's lifthill twice, El Toro's lift hill twice, Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion at PKD, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and a few others.

Funny story goes with the Scooby Doo ride. My friend and I were stading in line, and I said "I wish we could walk trough the building". Sure enough, halfway through the ride, we come to a stop and the lghts turn on. After about fifteen minutes, we were approached by a ride op, and escorted through the rest of the ride. I got to push pen the big wooden doors, so that was fun.

This past weekend, I was stuck on El Toro for about 10 minutes. It consisted of a lot of rolling backwards and forwards at the bottom of the lift. I love the reactions of those around me when a ride stops.

On space mountain, we came to a stop on the first brake after the lift hill. We waited there for several minutes, and then the lights turned on. After about 10 minutes, we were escorted off of the train, and walked down to the elevator, and then through the bottom of the ride. It was a very cool experience. Later that night, we got stuck on Tower of Terror right before the drop area of the ride. We actually got to walk back through the ride, on the track. It was very cool getting to see the effect with the lights on.

A couple of years back (I guess I was 12-13) I got stuck on the Iron Eagle at SFA. For those of you that don't know, it's a RotoShake:

http://www.joyrides.com/sfa/iron_eagle1.htm

After being closed down for 5 years, we got to ride it.

Anyways, the ride started off like normal - it raised a couple feet and started to backflip. It made it around the backflip, stopped, and began to frontflip. Now, it's supposed to make one full frontflip and then stop in the "flying" position before the ride arm begins to move. On our ride, however, it continued into an inverted position and stopped...

...and sat there...

...And sat there for a little while longer. So, about 7 minutes and 13 (no joke, there were that many!) mechanics later, they flipped us back and lowered us down. I was pretty happy to get off that thing.

So, anyways, they gave us a walk-on pass each. We went and used it for a front-seat ride on Superman, of course!

Needless to say, I've been on the ride since. I miss it dearly now that it's gone, I really loved it when it was working!

I've only got stuck on a ride twice.

Once on Splash Mountain right on the lift hill before the final drop. It was cool having to walk through the back areas of the entire structure to get to the exit, also got a free ride pass (this was before fast passes) so it was all fine.

Then this past summer on the TPR Midwest Trip we got stuck on Face/Off at KI. The latch that was supposed to catch the train an lower it back into the station, didn't catch. So we rolled back down the spike and nearly got stuck in the cobra roll.

I've had some really crappy experiences on coasters and other rides.

At our local county fair this year a friend and I were riding the rock-o-planes when our door popped open and broke off! (Yes, it fell to the ground!)

I have gotten stuck many times on the Raven's lifthill, as well as the Beast's.

During a ride on Skyrider at Canada's Wonderland a few years ago, my shoulder restraints came apart.

I have also gotten stuck in the middle of the boomerang on the Vampire at SFKK.

My first time at Kings Island I got stuck on the MCBR during Flight of Fear.

Two years ago we stopped on the lift of Chang and all of the seats released! NOT a comfortable ride after that....

There are many others but those are just some that I can remember off the top of my head. I'm sure I will be unfortunate enough to get stuck upside down soon!

I've been stuck on the Beast for about 15 minutes, Adventure Express, and Maverick. Maverick was in the station and we sat in the seats for about 15 minutes while they transfered off a train. No extra ride, unlike the people who were in the tunnel.

I got stuck on El Toro just before the final block before the station for some reason. We were in the last car, so we were still technically "turning" right. (get it?)

I also got stuck twice on Storm Runner in 2 days when it just e-stopped for some reason. One was just before we pulled into the station and one was just after we exited the station.

I've been stuck on quite a few rides over the years. I was stuck on Splash Mountain at WDW for about 1/2 an hour, Spaceship Earth, the Haunted Mansion, The Great Movie Ride, the top of the lift of Ice Dragon at IOA, ET at USF, Jaws at USF, the top of the lift of Vortex at PCW, and probably some others that I'm forgetting.

I got stuck on an S&S Power Space Shot (Maliboomer at DCA). It was extremely boring compared to getting stuck on a coaster. It fired us up to the top and then instead of the boing, boing, boing stuff, it just dropped a little and stopped. Normally you get that cool hissing sound. This was more of a silent fart. We were probably 2/3 of the way up the tower. Then we watched as a California Screamin' train passed far below us. And then another. And another. And another. Unfortunately I was on a side looking outside of the park so I got to see the nighttime view of beautiful downtown Anaheim. It was probably a nice view for people who had a view of the park. It turned out that the thing was actually dropping almost imperceptably slowly. After about five minutes (it seemed much longer) we finally reached the ground and they gave us those special tickets that give you line cuts at either DL or DCA. I've seen them walk people down from the big hill on California Screamin' many times. That beats the crap out of getting stuck on a tower ride. It is a good way to get over your fear of heights though.

Oh! I was in the backseat of Top Gun when I saw a ride op telling someone near the front to put their camera away. They did. About halfway up the lift they stopped us and came over the speakers telling this guy to put the camera away. Well I guess he didn't think they were talking to him, so an op walked up the lift and told him to put it away or they would take it. So he put it away
