Tanks4me05
^From what I heard, SFNE's Bizarro was pretty close to Expedition GeForce, and was actually a lot better than Goliath. I can't say definitively myself as I've only been on Bizarro, but I can definitely say that that was a fantastic ride. Me, I'm just happy that the Intamin hyper coasters are finally back, and they are coming to one of my favorite parks ever, with a brand new style of train. chickenbowl
And also, if you notice, the other main lift support has gone very vertical this past week in the background of that picture. I can't wait to see this all done.
Bryce232
That support is hilarious! Maybe a pathway will go right under it?
UnderCoverDrummer1
If you look at one of the video updates posted earlier, there is an access road that runs along comet.
eddie200330
Poor Comet is going to get an inferiority complex. I can't wait to see how these 2 interact once they get in full swing!!!
Ace Of Spades
Poor Comet is going to get an inferiority complex. I can't wait to see how these 2 interact once they get in full swing!!! Not nearly as bad as Dragon Fire will have it under Leviathan. I mean, it's not even as tall as the hyper's brakerun!

Fooz
Hopefuly we get to see that lift go up soon. I have a feeling it will look quite spectacular!
Thom25
I would think the lift will be complete within the next week or two. Obviously a lot depends on the weather, but it has to be next on the list. Sections of the ride like the 80 foot hill can't be completed with the crane in it's current position, cause it blocks the crane's exit route. belo777
Well, considering at least the first part of this week is going to be a bit breezy, that will slow work of the lift up. I expect at least the first part of this week to be mainly station work, and track that will wrap around Comet and then brakes. The second half of the week we'll have to wait and see what mother nature feels like bringing us.
Ccron10
^I Think Thom has already posted a link that that update. A new update has been posted to Keystone Thrills showing off the station and lift motor work that has been going on. Nothing has been done to the lift hill itself yet. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-67-1-2-12/ EDIT: A color version of the artist's rendering of Skyrush has been posted to the Project 2012 page:
belo777
I'm glad we finally have a color version of that diagram. Defiantly looking at what's going to be on the 2012 brochure, and map. The colors are also beautiful. In other news, today was a very blustery day. So I don't expect much more of the lift was worked on today. I suspect today's work was mainly station work; since they can tear the temp fence in the Hollow down now that the Park is done with Candylane. Or today's work probably could of been focused on finishing the few remaining footers, or electrical work around the lift(which they have been working on days like today) All-American Thrills will have an update posted Thursday and Saturday(or Sunday) also. So keep tuned for that. EDIT: Sorry this reply posted twice, not sure why. I deleted the second one.
Swiminn6
I agree, the new train rendering really provides a great visual on what we can expect in May - can not wait. On another note: Daily updates with today's Skyrush update on lift construction can be found here at Skyrush 1/4/12 at All American Thrills. Thanks for the link! I am so excited for this project! I think this coaster will get me to come out to the park this year. Looks like they are starting to work on the lift.
swiver
Great Bear is no longer the only coaster at HP with crazy supports Skyrush has joined the party lol this pic was posted by Walter W. on facebook I'm gonna go ahead and call it the "wishbone" support and see if it catches on. nander
Ok, this has to be the ugliest coaster in the world, but who cares, the lay-out looks great .
sammmmmy
Ok, this has to be the ugliest coaster in the world, but who cares, the lay-out looks great . Not at all. I think it looks great in comet hollow. And basically what you're saying here is that this looks worse than all those gorgeous roller coasters in japan, china, etc... I don't think so. Bryce232
Ok, this has to be the ugliest coaster in the world, but who cares, the lay-out looks great . No, I think this is much uglier.
Thom25
Good find and perfect example. All Arrow coasters are pretty beat by today's standards.
sammmmmy
I see they're taking a different approach for the truss this time!
Thom25
Yup, they are taking a very different approach when compared to I305, but what really caught my eye was the steepness of the lift. WOW ! This ride is going to be thrilling right from the start no doubt
Myself
Another difference...the track is not permanently fixed...makes you wonder if they'll finish the structure and then put the track on versus starting the track on erected structure before the whole hill is done. That is one steep lift! Edited January 6, 2012 by Myself
