coasterfreak101
So, not underground, but under Comet. My mistake. I knew I didn't remember it correctly! But it's definitely not going to double-back down the lift hill. I imagine it being very difficult to accomplish given that in addition to the Comet there is the cue line. Hard to picture them putting a cable that close to peoples heads. I think it's possible that they can run the cable underneath the bridge that holds Comet's structure over the creek, then when it hits land on the Comet Hollow side of the water, use a pulley or wheel to redirect the cable into an upward slope, running through a trench on that hill/creekside to reach the tension pulleys at the bottom of the lift. ^I think the most interesting part of that update is that apparently the coaster will still have another curve up and over comet before hitting the brakes. For some reason I was under the impression the turn after the straight bunny hill was into the brake run. I'm getting really excited for this. Hershey's one of my favorite parks and Skyrush is looking to be another great addition. I think that turn after the bunny hill dips down, then hops up into a first set of brakes, which leads to that turn over the Comet station and into the primary brake run. But I would like to see otherwise, like another bunny hop before that turn over Comet's station! But judging by the only slight banking on that turn and the tightness in which it flattens out to lead into the brake run, there will be brakes before it. There will be a reduction brake just before the turn over Comet's station.
Fooz
Looks like some more track has been going up, on the entrance to the first hill, and the exit of the second.
chickenbowl
On the project 2012 Facebook page, there's some pictures from today. They've put a ton of track in now that they've slightly moved the crane out. Looking good, airtime hills! Ccron10
The scaffolding has come down around the elevator shaft to reveal a beautiful clock tower! Also more track has been added and they're at the point where the first and second airtime hills are ready to be capped off. http://keystonethrills.megabb.com/t365-hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-86#6028 I've seen this little fella lurking around a few times I would go to get updates. Cute little guy and scared the crap out of me one time when he jumped out of the bushes in front of me. This is where the construction vehicles would gain access to the path from the creekbed. It looks like they are starting to close this off and put up the creekwall. And for those of you keeping track at home, here's an approximate estimate from what I could see of track and supports that they have done as of 2-10-12. Skycoastin Steve
Oh wow, I didn't know there was going to be a jump on this ride!
A.J.
It reminds me of that old HotWheels track set where you intentionally made the cars crash into each other.
UrbanLegend
I think I've read previously on here that they're not gonna cap off the two airtime hills until the very end, because otherwise the cranes would be trapped in there. Or am I just foolishly misremembering? Also, KITTY!

QueerRudie
I think the kitty should get a name like Frank- as it would be appropriate that he'd be there, watching over his ride...
chickenbowl
For anyone who's interested, this local news report has a video of Skyrush construction and it shows many cool views of the ride. Also, a worker talks about how Hershey and Intamin redesigned the restraints many times, but came to the final design of just a lapbar for the most freedom while riding! This is good news to anyone who is against the dreaded Intamin OTSR's.
cal1br3tto
^I had gotten so lost regarding the restraint information and speculation. Is this the first time lap bars are confirmed? At any rate, it's great to hear!
