3rd Grades that plotted to kill their teacher

9 3rd Graders in Georgia came up with a plan to kill their teacher for revenge because she disiplined one of their classmates. They brought handcuffs and ducttape to school, and two of them brought a paperweight and a knife. How could 3rd graders think of that? Thats some really messed up Sh!t if you ask me.

Wow... I am shocked

I have a feeling that even if the tried to go through with it they would fail simply because the teacher is an adult. It would be quite a task for 3rd graders to restrain him/her simply because of strength and size differences. And if the teacher sees students coming towards him/her with knives and handcuffs, do you think he/she is going to stick around long enough for them to handcuff him/her and carry out the deed?

Is there a legitimate news article behind this thread? If so could someone please post a link, because this is all speculation so far with no real details.

With that said, this doesn't really surprise me. Kids do angry stuff like this all the time, but their chances of being successful were slim to none. I bet incidents like this happen more often than we'd think, it was probably just a slow news day.

Police seized a steak knife with a broken handle, steel handcuffs, duct tape, electrical and transparent tape, ribbons and the paperweight from the students, Tanner said.

Third graders are kids who are 7 and 8 years old. I'm surprised that little kids could actually think of such a complex plot. In terms of the complexity of the "tools" used, I'm not surprised. But in terms of the micro-management, that is what I'm surprised about. I mean, I wouldn't have thought of getting a kid to wipe clean the place with the curtains when I was that age.

Thats what the paperweight was for, to knock the teacher out, or so I read.

I heard about this in the middle of my drafting class. Honestly it scares me to think that kids that age are plotting these kinds of things. I certaintly have never planned anything like that in my life! and Im twice their age.....
