Just got this email.....I live 2000 miles away......anyhow someone might find it useful.

Good Afternoon Eddie,

If you live near or plan on attenting Six Flags Great America

and need tickets, now is the perfect time to pick up a pair of

them. They are just $19.81 and only available online. You can

purchase your tickets through the following link now:

http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-3090760-10547260

That link will take you directly to the Six Flags Great America

page. There you can findin the middle of the page, under "Daily

Tickets" the special pricing of just $19.81 This is a limited

time offer as only a certain amount of tickets will be sold at

this price. My suggestion is to head on over now and get them

before they run out.

That's fine for SIX FLAGS Great America, but this is California's (Cedar Fair) Great America so that offer is not valid here as it is not a Six Flags park. But, Discovery Kingdom to the north is a Six Flags park so maybe it will work there?

I miss CGA at the moment because I'm in Spain. The time difference is totally messing with me I like small boys in tights.

Christina, try to remember not using X...and D together here . I forgot to warn you about "word filters" it translates to "I like small boys in tights" , which was a filter based after ME using the two letters I shall not slam together. Robb told me this a while back.

But yes, I know how much you miss CGA, and GOD be willing I WILL go there this year atleast once to get my missed credits!, ah well Atleast I was in the employee parking lot .

Nothing new as far as new for 2012 announcements......yet.

As of now I know of 3-4 different parks that are holding out on their 2012 additions. They may be one of those parks holding out. Honestly, most announcements are not made until the fall, so I wouldn't spend the whole summer waiting for an announcement that might arrive thin fall.

I wouldn't hold my breath I don't think they even fully know what they are going to do with that place

I don't think they know either.... Between ride removals, the stadium, and everything else, I feel the only major announcement they'll have this year is it's closing...

I could (and hope) I'm wrong though.

For anyone that cares, Whitewater Falls finally opened for the season today after a lengthy downtime. FireFall, on the other hand, is still being worked on, at least that's what I'm assuming since the gondola is still not in place.

I went to the park yesterday (Saturday). I went to Flight Deck first, the operations were good as the line moved rather quickly for CGA. As I got up to the station, I saw about 10-15 employees hanging around the control booth doing nothing other than talking to each other. Only about 4 or 5 employees were actually operating it. While I still think the operations were alright, I was certainly not impressed as they could've been a lot faster if they had actually used more of the employees. Demon had a long line that started right under the lift hill and went though all the switchbacks. Drop Tower was running all the cabins although they weren't loading one of them on the east side of the tower. Also, my friends told me they were threatened to be romoved from the park because a coin fell out of one of their pockets. Grizzly operations were horrid, the first row in the last car of the blue train wasn't being loaded. They was also some shoving and fighting going on in Grizzly's clusterphobic line. It wasn't hardcore fighting, but it was enough to have me considering why I was in line. Theme parks really need better security in their lines.

While I did have fun, I was rather disappointed by a few things at the park that I saw. I might off had an "off" day but considering it was a Saturday in May, I don't think I would call that "acceptable".

Thats about how I feel as well I think they have just given up on it and are planning to run it as long as it makes money or until the city forces a stadium on them

It only takes 3 people to operate that ride, and I work there and the only reason people would be standing there would be if they are just about to clock in or clock out. So depending on what time you saw that, that is probably what happened.

Don't think the stadium will happen and I don't think they have given up.

Well the stadium has been in talks for 10 years. As much as people think it has to do with CGA and Santa Clara it isn't. It's the politics of SF not wanting to let go of the 49ners. If the 49ners really wanted to move to Santa Clara it would have happened already. Another opposing factor is that the Raider fans don't want it coming down there. What I think is interesting is that the office buildings that complain about the noise of CGA think the stadium is going to be quieter (supposedly). There will obviously be more events held there then just football and if that doesn't close CGA then it will just add to the noise. That's my two cents.

You know, I don't thing the stupid corporate neighbors know how important CGA is! There are so many jobs created from the park and it helps out the neighboring business, and all they care about are them self's! But on a lighter note, are there any predictions on whats to happen with the new clear space from Invertigo? I will be happy if its a new ride in general, but will be all most dieing happy if its a new coaster! Even a kiddy coaster.

Well if a flat ride goes there, I have no idea what it could be, I guess anything. But I'm hoping a coaster goes there, maybe an Intamin Zacspin or some kind of insane Eurofighter coaster..........something good. Otherwise I have no idea what they are going to do.

^I agree. I had the same thoughts at the rumored tearing down of SFMM. Good thing they sent the bulldozers to Psylone instead! However, this would turn out to be a widespread rumor (large enough to make some news stations). While SF was considering selling the park, it was quite unlikely it would become real-estate. I hope the same final story can apply to CGA, though.

Just an update on Firefall, it's gondola is back in place finally. Towards the end of the day, the ride actually was moving, just doing a few slow rotations though, which it did shortly after I took the image below.

^Great! Can't wait to ride when it opens (soon, by the looks of it).

Slightly off topic, but I found this on Newsplusnotes...anybody guess what it is? Hint: It's from a certain park in Pennsylvania

I'm guessing the invertigo with a new paint job?
