michaellynn4 36
I'm sure both the park and the manufacturer have a contingency plan in for lift-hill evacuations. There's no way they would've been granted permits without one. Not all coasters evacuate lift hills with staircases (ex: Eurofighters).

JordyC 0
There won't be any stairs. If the coaster needs to be evacuated, Wonder Woman will come rescue everyone. Wrong park Wonder Woman's enough of a BAMF to rescue everyone.

thrillseeker4552 57
^I swear, April has a relevant quote for every situation! As for the catwalks, there were also none on the final brake run (in the concept video) either, so I’m not sure how seriously we should take that video. With that being said, there also doesn’t appear to be any connections/braces to place catwalks (I mean, the track is already so incredibly thin). Who really knows.
dsmman86 0
Does anyone have any photos of Loggers Run being dismantled by chance? Has that process even begun?
rumble 0
Is there going to be any access stairs along the lift hill? I have never seen a roller coaster without evacuation stairs, but none of the renderings or videos show them. I was speaking to the foreman of the ride whilst at the park on Friday and asked him about this. He said there will be a catwalk on the right side of the lifthill. It was omitted from the renderings for clarity.
rumble 0
Does anyone have any photos of Loggers Run being dismantled by chance? Has that process even begun? There's a pic here: The drop and all of the lower-level channel have been dismantled, the station is still standing.
Living_Dead 0
Sad about the flume. As ugly as it was, I did like it.
robbalvey 89
Great America Needs Your Photos! Do you have any older photos of Top Gun/Flight Deck? CGA is looking for users to submit their photos of the coaster through the years if you have them for the upcoming 25th Anniversary of the ride. Please post them here! Thank you! ABW 0
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Robb! This ride and I go back a long way. Here's some of what I got. Love this ride!

ytterbiumanalyst 1
Wow, that looks really great. I'm going to need to see a train on that thing to figure out how it all works. Really impressed by this ride. I'll get to SF one of these days, but looking forward to riding its sister in Texas this summer.

WayCool64 0
It almost looks like a small model from the picture. I really can't wait to see just how big it is next time I visit!
WestCoasterKing 0
^ I can't wait to see the rock work and themeing.
Bubba 0
^ I can't wait to see the rock work and themeing. It's already so beautiful, I can't wait to see those elements added. It's going to be so hard to hold off on a visit & pass until Halloween Haunt when they start selling 2019 passes. I already have 2 other passes to other parks and don't want to overdo it. But I just might!
stricklandCC 0
Rail Blazer is looking great! So excited to have this new type of coaster at my home park! On another note: just an observation, all of CGA's rollercoaster lift hills (with the exception of Psycho Mouse) all point in approximately the same direction, is there a reason for this, surely it can't be a coincidence. ThemeParkJunkie51290 0
And just to think I was planning on visiting this park in May . . . sadly . . . my plans changed. I'm still going to California in May, but not to San Jose . . . BUT . . . I'm trying to squeeze in a trip in August. Railblazer is going to be a great addition to this park! Woah, I never noticed that before. That does seem kind of odd, right? I wonder if it's somehow noise related or something (although RailBlazer is suppose to have the "silent" lift, and Patriot/Vortex is in the middle of the park). How odd. FolsomFan 0
According to Inside CGA on Facebook: "After 30 years of thrills Endeavor is being retired and will be removed from Great America before the park opens for the 2018 season." What??? I had no idea this was going to happen. No trip to the park was complete for me without going on this.

What??? I had no idea this was going to happen. No trip to the park was complete for me without going on this. Yeah, showed up on the CGA park blog today. As far as I know there was no announcement before this. https://www.cagreatamerica.com/blog/2018/blazing-new-trails-all-around-the-park Also taking out a Planet Snoopy ride, "Snoopy’s Splash Dance". On the plus side, some bathrooms are being renovated and a bunch of midways are being redone. So...there's a lot going on at the park!
chickenbowl 0
So this is what CGA is looking at right about now - Encircled in red are the removed rides. Also, keep in mind that Firefall's lot is still vacant
WestCoasterKing 0
The drive wheels on RailBlazer's transfer track are very interesting. BTW, I was bored so I did this. The area in yellow includes Logger's Run, Snoopy Splash and the plot that you say was FAA approved for 240', plus the lagoon behind Logger's Run. This area is apx 3 acres. For comparison Valravn is 2.6 acres. Silver Bullet is 2.5 acres and Gold Striker is 2.8 acres. So just take that for what it's worth and run with it. I'll step out of the way now and let the chaos begin. Bwhahahahahahah!!!!! Mwhahahahahah!!!!!
