Vonni
I think Vortex would better suited for MA. From what I understand, the refurb for Iron Wolf/Apocalypse did wonders for the Ride. Move Vortex to MA, refurb it and the trains, and use its space at CGA for something more suited for CGA. I think a GIB would be nice.
singemfrc
Are you suggesting they swap a B&M for a Vekoma because of roughness? That has to be a first.
XYZ
Recently, I did see Vortex is in its good form, during the Thank You Thursdays, when I was the only one on the train. (The train went slower through the course, which somehow made it smooth.) Â It's a really good coaster if they put better restraints on and perhaps, add trims *gasp*. (Plus, they already modified the restraints before when they replaced the old U-shaped ones with the newer V-shaped ones.)
kailisun98
Looks like Vortex has some FAST transitions. Could be an amazing twisty floorless! Just hope that CF and B&M cooperate well Trust me, Vortex is TERRIBLE!!! I think "Terrible" is the theme for most of the B&M Stand-ups. The only one that I really enjoyed is Riddler's Revenge @ SFMM. Vonni
From what I see, common census says Georgia Scorcher is actually a really good ride. I wonder what the difference was?

Nothing much. I've ridden every B&M Stand Up in the US and it was more of the same.

Georgia Scorcher has good airtime in the back row. It's also very smooth, without headbanging. I think they learned from their previous designs. jray21
After riding Vortex 40+ times in a row at the Coasting For Kids event, I can say with authority that it's a terrible and painful ride.

Really admire you for your kindness to the kids. Â I absolutely hate Mantis and think Mean Streak is a lot better. But Riddler's Revenge is one of the better coasters at SFMM and kind of enjoyable. Bizarre, I thought Mantis was shockingly smooth (at least after all the bad things I heard about it) and Mean Streak just about shattered my rib cage. I think my love of MS has something to do with that we survived Hades360 a couple of days back. Â Mantis gave me a terrible headache and it hurt my legs. Not to mention the rib crushing trim on the first drop and Mantis is a manhood killer. Maybe my position on Riddler's was right and I had an amazing ride in the back. Â Does anyone think a Chance Hyper Lite or Intamin Mega-Lite would fit in Vortex area perfectly?
Vonni
^ I didn't think about that, and you are right! Its the perfect amount of space! Bring it on!
rolercstrluvr
Im debating going out to the park to see FD in person with the primer. It must be a sight to see, so I'll report back here later today with my journey.
tarheel1231
Does anyone think a Chance Hyper Lite or Intamin Mega-Lite would fit in Vortex area perfectly? Chance hypers don't cost much more than the hyper GTX. I'm guessing you're looking between 15-20 million dollars. Even a hyper in the range of Steel Eel's height would be good. It would be cool to see a large version of Lightning Run in the park. Does CGA have a height limit? Most of the big coasters are around 100 feet tall but the Star Tower and Drop tower at the park are both over 20 stories.

Rollercoaster Rider
I'd rather they bulldoze Grizzly and build a hyper there. They could build it B&M and have sand track so as to not disturb the NIMBY's

cal1br3tto
That's a nice and striking shade of red. I'll have to get used to seeing it on Flight Deck, but I like it so far.
