FLIPDUDE
http://karilex.deviantart.com/art/Chess-Coaster-69106928 I just bumped into this picture on Deviantart. Apparantly this is a trend and theres even a webpage with pics full of similar photos, all inspired by a comic. http://www.xkcd.com/chesscoaster/ Just thought I should share this. uwgbdork
That can only be described as one of the best on-ride photos ever!!!!!!!They really pulled it off well.
evil saltine
LOL. Now I wanna see someone do this on X
Purplepills
Ha that is one of the best I have seen. It's not quite as cool as the TPR Tower of Terror one but it is really well done.
Hand 0f Time
Omg! I'm so tempted to start doing that now. Lol! They pulled off the picture great. I had to favorite it.
TurboWagon
Mmm, lets wait in line for this coaster just so we can fake-play some chess. I guess there is always a new way to have "fun" on a coaster.
FLIPDUDE
^Uhm... I doubt they waited for the ride "just" to play a fake game on it I'm pretty sure they were gonna ride it anyway.

DeliriumTrigger
Wow, somebody actually did this? I've always wanted to since I saw the comic a few years ago...Didn't think it'd be very easy/possible to get the prop on the ride though.
jamesdillaman
It's a funny picture, but I wonder how many of those pictures were against the park policy. I know for a fact just due to the caption of the one on Loch Ness Monster that those people were blatantly disregarding park rules. They said they had a tough time sneaking the board and chess pieces on. Besides that, I love the pictures. -James Dillaman
Coasterlvr_nc
^ you never know, Some of them MAY have asked for permission to do so.
Carnage
My only thought after seeing the pic was: "Chess isn't played with four people"
FLIPDUDE
Heheh, yeah, it kinda occured to me too, but I firt thought "that is freaking awesome." and only then "chess isn't played with 4 people." So they did their job.
coolhandluke
^ & ^^ I've played team chess before. Or two of them could be spectating. But yeah, for all intents and purposes, it's a two person game. Funny pics, not sure about the legality, but they are still amusing. Certainly more unique than any on-ride I've been in... DBru
I've seen this picture somewhere before. There are other EXTREME CHESS pictures too. I know there is one on Steel Eel...
CP_RULES
Is this a real chess board or a prop where the pieces are glued down? Seems like it'd be hard to keep it all in place during the ride.
Space Freak
Of course, now we need to one up them! Now if someone could only get a game of Warhammer 40K going...
coolhandluke
^^Both. It's a real chess board where the pieces are glued down. ^I was thinking Risk myself. Either way...
the sound
Meh, chess boxing is better imo. But this is still pretty cool. I think someone should try extreme jigsaw or something next, or extreme Jenga, or extreme twister. Now that would be really awesome.
steel
Totally, completely, without a doubt against a crapload of park rules that were established for fantastic reasons. But fun to see. I wondered if anyone had ever done that.
FLIPDUDE
^Not all parks forbid carry-on items.
Edward
My goodness. Now I want to make a picture in that style. Heh, playing UT3 on a laptop during this... On a PS2 Pad! Or trying to build the Rollercoaster in NoLimits as you ride it. Either way, I don't think I'm gonna have a prop on the ride, sorry. Maybe CG it. Was thinking of making some absolutely mad clip of someone eating a Kebab Roll on a mad coaster. /Edward
FLIPDUDE
^Oh that would end badly. I've seen a japanese video of a woman trying to put on makeup on a coaster. She ende dup looking like a clown. There's also an old vid of british boy scouts trying to eat on the irn bru revolution at BPB.
larrygator
^ you never know, Some of them MAY have asked for permission to do so. Patron: "Excuse me, could I bring this item on the ride that might fly out of my hand and cause bodily damage to the people sitting behind me if it hits them." Park Employee: "Sure"
