Wow that was pretty cool. I rslly miss the old Lost World and the original rides that were in there. I think they were better suited than the Volcano. The Apple Turnover and the other rides that used to line down the "midway" next to the lake where they did the water ski show in front of the King Cobra! (Damn I'm old) Thanx for the older pix, it was a fun park back in the 80's early 90's. Now it is just an "extreme" park, not much of the same atmosphere that made it the unique place it originally was.

Wow, those are some outstanding pics. I haven't even finished looking at it all, but what I've seen is great. I have a few newspaper clipping from the past couple years about Hershey and SFA that will probably seem just as cool about a decade from now.

I basically grew up on the park as well, going there since I was around 4. I have some pics of my dad, me, and a Klingon.

Yup those were the "good 'ole days......" at least in my life they seem like "old days."

Really nice montage my friend. You put alot of care and thought into your scrapbook. I love looking at old park photos. My family and I used to go every summer when I was younger. I haven't been there since 1986. I'll have to get there and check it out again.

Wow, great pics. They bring back alot of memories. I spent countless summers at that park in the 80's. Mt. Kilamajaro, Apple Turnover,Time Shaft. I left right before they opened Anaconda. It was facinating to me how they drained the entire lake to build it, and it's underwater tunnel. I wish I had taken pics of that.

Thanks for the great comments everyone. I wish I would had keep my book and info going, but I got older and I grew out of it, but I know this park from front back, back to front. The lake isn't that deep, about 4-6 feet deep, probably not even that. I went to KD one winter off season doing a project and learned a lot from the park behind the scenes, it was very interesting.
