ILoveRitalin
^ Maybe the cop was a huge fan of TPR and Big Mike's trip reports... yeah, that has to be it. Either way, you got into the final game at Yankee Stadium, and that's something to cherish. Even if you hate the Yankees, which I do, (die-hard Oakland A's fan here) you still have to respect their history and respect the house that Ruth built. RIP Yankee Stadium. Thanks for the memories... and thanks for sharing the photos. Good stuff.
mcjaco
I'll be quite honest. I saw a game at Yankee Stadium a few years ago. It was a complete let down. Did it have history? Yes. Otherwise I thought it was a total dump. The concourses were dark and narrow, and it just felt cold and imposing.
CoasterFanatic
Much better seat than on our visit last month, but I did manage to get this photographic gem. Big size and this one ... We didn't get into monument park either. It is not an easy task.
Coaster Palooza
^Great photo of the stadium Ted! ^^I think the excitement from it being the last series and the last game at Yankee Stadium is what sold me. We had a great time. I'm glad I got out there before they knocked it down. Now I have to get to Fenway and Wrigley...Life would be complete at that point! Coaster Palooza
I'm going to post a few photos of the Sharks game we went to before I post some photos with the Big Mike Road Show. He's a good mascot. Coming up the row. Sharkie came up for a birthday party of a kid in front of us. Gyendolynne and Susan are happy, too bad the Sharks didn't play well. I think this is one of the neatest entrances. Here come your Sharks! At the time, it was 12 days before opening day. It is this Thursday. Some pre-game action When we arrive at the game, Sharkie went to eat Gyendolynne's head. My buddy Hopper. I think he was surprised by me taking a photo of him. This is Gyendolynne and her friend Susan.
Coaster Palooza
Hey Everyone, Yep, Big Mike is here. We went to SFDK, Pixieland, and Gilroy Gardens. Mike got all his credits and then headed to Knotts Berry Farm. It was a great day at SFDK. There was rain, but we made it through! We ended our day riding the train and going through the rock maze before we left. Remember, go to the left in the Rock Maze....to the left, to the left...Until Friday, that's all for now! Here comes Big Mike with his Ghostdriver... Gyendolynne "steared" the car. We rode the old cars too. More theming at Quicksilver Express. Some of the bamboo trees. Monorail...HI SCOTT!!! Theming at the Quicksilver Express... Gyendolynne loves the plants, trees, and flowers. One of the neatest trees there. There's no way to get lost if you can see over everything. Mike wanted to go through the "maze" I can hear Mike saying Cha-Ching right now. Another coaster... You could actually buy a pumpkin if you wanted it. I thought these were neat, so did Gyendolynne. We didn't see anyone there for it. They had a trick or treat event. Final stop of the day. Gilroy Gardens All of us rode it! The reason why we are here. Gyendolynne with the gingerbread house. This doesn't look like it is one of the oldest carousels....does it? A lot of flat rides It was a neat small park. The entrance... Next stop... The elephant was getting a pedicure. Cougars I'm getting Jiggy with it. This might be our Holiday picture. Mike approves Thomas Train The Walrus kept spitting up the fish and putting it back in its mouth. Pure enjoyment was had by all... I couldn't convince Mike to lay down in Bugs' bed because it was wet and muddy. DracuBUGS... All of us with "Odin" Behind the scenes of the Big Mike Road Show. Kevin, you have definitely outdone yourself! This is by the entrance... Mike with the donkey! I love how they decorated the place! FrankenLonghorn... One of the new mazes/haunted house. I didn't get the new smashed pennies until today. Charles was kind enough to tell us it would be opening soon. We were the first ones to ride it! They were testing it... We went by the penguins on our way to Tony Hawk. I like the new bloody fountain! Today was the first day of Fright Fest. I love this time of year! Mike was interviewed instantly! Did they get this spider from SFMM? We're praying for the rain to go away. It did! Taking the tram from the parking lot. Nice car! It was cloudy all morning, but there wasn't any rain until we got there. As we get closer to SFDK, it start to rain! Big Mike arrives and checks in! BeemerBoy
Okay, time to catch up a bit here. 1) Ted, that panoramic shot of the Stadium is freakin' awesome! Nice work. 2) "DJ Rick" on the wheels of steel made me laugh at work. Not a good idea in a room as quiet as a library. Hilarious nonetheless. 3) This doesn't look like it is one of the oldest carousels....does it? LOL. 4) Yay for monorail pic!

Coaster Palooza
Hi everyone, Just a couple quick photos here. Big Mike is making his last stop before he jumps on a plane tonight. I officiated a high school football game last night and Mike was working the chains for us. We're heading to CGA, Traintown, and other parks today. I took Mike for a ride in my Mustang yesterday. That's it for now. Time to ride some coasters! The morning breakfast at the Coaster Palooza hotel! Mike was our box guy after the kids couldn't do their jobs. Coming back from half-time. Thanks for the help my friend! Big Mike, working the chains Ready for the kick-off. National Anthem Getting ready for the coin toss. Crew's pre-game discussion. Mike at the game. Coaster Palooza
This is the end of the Big Mike Road Show in California. We went to CGA today and Mike tried to get to Traintown. I will let him tell you how the rest of his trip went. Onto the photos! One last photo of Mike's interview. Where will this one be aired? That's it for now. Hopefully we can make it to SFDK for Fright Fest and CGA for Haunt (at night time). We're heading to Virginia next weekend. Mike can't escape the press by the way. He ends up getting interviewed on our way out! Al Garcia is all the way to the right of the photo. Mount Rushmore is ready for Halloween. Another maze I told Mike that he needs to take the picture at the Survivor pole. Just like SFDK, I need the "new" smashed pennies because of the name change at CGA. Mike drives the Mystery Machine. Doesn't everyone have this picture? Hi Gyendolynne! Mike is wondering if he can get in there and play. The foam maze They have a talking pumpkin this year. I love the decorations for Halloween. The CarnEvil maze, located at the bumper cars. He actually pops up too! The Jack in the Box, sorry you can't order your food here. Add Big Mike! Gyendolynne and myself! Yep, almost looks like two in a row, but this sign was just outside the ticket windows. As we pull into CGA, the Nick or Treat sign was up. Big Mike in High Def and in person! tonyblackjack
That Giant Jack in a Box must have been purchased in Bulk by Cedar Fair. Worlds of Fun got one this year as well. I hope to get out to Cali one of these years.
Coaster Palooza
We went to CGA’s Halloween Haunt on 10/18 with some friends. The mazes and scare zones were great! The kids we were with were scared farely regularly throughout the night. I love what CGA has done with Haunt this year. I can’t wait to go again! We went through Carn-Evil first. You must get the 3-D glasses. It makes the experience so much better. After riding a couple of rides, we went through the Werewolf maze at the rapids. The werewolf costumes were terrific! At this point, the lines got long for Cornstalker and Slaughterhouse. I wish we could have done these. The Camp Gonna getcha also looks interesting, but it was down when we went by it. Time to leave. Going to Virginia on Thursday. Hopefully we'll to KD's Haunt and SFA's Fright Fest this weekend! They're done too They're done That's them flying by Some of the following photos will be a little dark. I lightened them up as much as I could... Susan and Gyendolynne went on extreme flyers while we waited for them. what to do... Another long wait.... Ryan met up with us at one point and showed us his tombstone. Al's tombstone is right next to his as well. Hopefully some of you can meet them when you go. Is that the best you got...You pansies! This animatronics electric chair was "exciting" as well. I don't know anyone that has conquered this. Nick tried his luck at the ladder-rope... We went on Psycho Mouse instead. Cornstalker maze had a wait of over an hour... Camp Gonna getcha was down... This one scared some of us pretty good... Susan put the flashing fangs in her mouth... Nick had fun with him. I think he overcame his fear at this point. One of the scary Werewolves... Our next maze... I don't know why, but Nick wanted to climb Scooby... Yep, a Mystery Machine photo... That's Nick's red-eyes!!! Nick wanted to ride Delirium, so Gyendolynne and I took him on it. They made it! Susan and Nick... It does get bright with the fire. I haven't seen Firefall at night before. Gyendolynne and the girls rode Firefall while Susan and Nick rode the fliers. One ride on the best coaster in the park. On the way to Flight Deck, this guy will scare you pretty good. Susan had her glasses on backwards in the first photo. She is showing how to wear them the right way. Every maze needs a disclaimer... You should buy the 3-D glasses. It is well worth it! We went to Carn-Evil first. One of the many monsters in the scare zones... Hey, that's us!!! Susan, her son Nick, her daughter Courtney, and Courtney's friend. Night shot of the Carousel. Entering CGA. Susan and her kids came along with us!
