Sandboarding!

Sandboarding is exactly what you'd expect it to be, snowboarding on sand. I just love the idea because it's so freaking unconventional. I already snowboard, and I'd been looking for a way to murder the concept of an off-season. I found this genius idea, and I want to see if anyone on TPR has even heard of sandboarding

Looks fun, but no dunes around here (well, maybe a trip down to Monterey will do). For now though I'll get my fix in longboarding (skateboard). It's the B&M of skateboards...where street skating is the Vekoma of skateboards (Smooth vs Rough rides).

 

Actually, ever heard of mudboarding or grass surfing? (look it up on youtube)

I have never heard of it until now, it looks fun but just don’t wipe out or else you will be spitting out sand for weeks.

Believe it or not (I know this is totally not up my alley), but I used to sandboard! There's a massive hill/canyon behind my house and I'd go up there with a plastic board when I was bored. I find boarding on long grass is just as good.

Seriously though, sandboarding is seriously not that obscure, or that dangerous. I've been sandboarding a couple of times when I've gone to some beaches around Australia. Although, i think you'd struggle to find anywhere in America to do it.
