Hotlanta
Are you kidding Big Mike, we need more of Angel. If you put her on the 2009 thread it will explode in popularity for sure. And thanks for the awfully cool signature. Edit: I didn't even know my 100th post ended up on the best thread in TPR. You Big Mike are the inspiration for me to join TPR. Thank You. SharkTums
Awesome report Big Mike! As for the TPR Booers and Haters out there...jealousy is soooo funny!!! And the ACErs wonder why they have such a bad rep!!?? We do nothing but invite EVERYONE to join us at events and on trips, and they are just so terrible!!! Maybe the food wasn't passed out early enough???

Big Mike
Hi Friends!!! I have a small report to add during Jeff Johnson week. There are two more Jeff Johnson reports a few pages ahead, make sure to read them all!!! The only problem is that Jeff took a lot of the pictures but I did not get Jeff in ANY pictures! lol I am happy to see that the Big Mike Banners are going well, makes me real happy to see a banner as I scroll along. This stop was at Boomers in California, hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike Credit #740 for Big Mike! Also, in the same spot as the adult before, Big Mike gets jacked in the back! Told you it was a short report Peace, Big Mike The four kids are having a great time. Big Mike on Tiger Mike. Got my tickets to give it a whirl. Cool, adults can ride! Take a good look at the grown up and how it looks like he is going to get whiplash from the coaster. Tiger Mike! Boomers!
robbalvey
Hey everyone, Would you all mind updating your Big Mike Signature Banners to point to this file: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/bigmikereaderrj7_113.jpg The ImageShack file produces a little red "X" anytime that server goes down. Once again here is the code to add to your signature: Thank you! --Robb
traincrossin
These Jeff Johnson updates are great Big Mike! I can't wait for more pics. The goal for 2009: Interview Angel Aristone in one of my visits to SFGA for The Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! I also have a secondary goal, getting a picture of Angel Aristone giving Big Mike a kiss on the cheek!!! Of course, this all has to be approved by The Valuable Big Mike Readers constituancy, to see if this is something that you would be interested in seeing?? Let me know in the thread if you like it or not. Um, does this question have to be asked? Of course we want to see this happen Big Mike! About the Ducky contest, will the final round be posted before April? Looking forward to more Big Mike. Oh, and sweet signature!

We do nothing but invite EVERYONE to join us at events and on trips, and they are just so terrible!!! Maybe the food wasn't passed out early enough??? Let's face it, there are some ACE members and TPR members that will never get along. It doesn't really bother me in the slightest. If they want to boo and hiss because of what we offer to the community, then they can knock themselves out! (litterally!) There isn't any other group out there that offers the volume of content and information that we offer ***FOR FREE*** and I think this is what upsets a lot of ACE members and the executive committee. --Robb

ElToroGirl84
Love the reports as always, and the new banner! Can't wait for the coaster season on the east to start! So glad I waited till this year to go back to Dorney sounds like a great year for them! I hope I'm able to get into the 'Riding of the bulls' at Great adventure that sounds like fun! I hope it's open to season passholders. Also that last report you have up, I have to say that is one cool looking kiddie coaster(I'm being serious too plus it's not a dragon or a worm it's a cat! What can I say I have a thing for cats.) Edit: I've tried several times putting the banner in my signature but for some odd reason it will not show up when I post. *scratches head*

This is unequivocally true. The ironic part, of course (and I'm speaking for myself here), is that I never would have considered paying for similar content from other clubs or organizations, yet TPR, the free resource, literally receives hundreds--sometimes thousands--of my hard-earned dollars each year. There's a lesson in there somewhere, probably. I'm just too lazy right now to figure out what it is.

That if you build a vibrant, online community that offers lots of great free content (which is regularly updated and enhanced), in addition to excellent opportunities for travel (at a great value), people will join. Followthrough is everything. As I've said before, if it hadn't been for TPR, I never would've gotten into the whole coaster-enthusiast thing. ginzo
As I've said before, if it hadn't been for TPR, I never would've gotten into the whole coaster-enthusiast thing. Ditto on that. Instead of booing, ACE should be putting out their own videos. Why can't they see that they are an excellent tool/resource? If I'm going to drive possibly several hundred miles or fly, I'd like to see a little bit more than pictures beforehand.
Coaster Palooza
^^I would like to piggy-back on what Chuck said also. My wife and I were going on trips that we put together, but we didn't know that there were other people that shared similar interests until we came across TPR. I have to thank Robb & Elissa for their efforts. Without this website, I wouldn't have met so many great people. Now, back on topic. Big Mike, continue with your work on the updates!!! Actually it is the same banner, but Robb has graciously offered to host it right here off of Theme Park Review!!! Thanks Robb!!! So now the banner will show up every time! Even if you did it the old way, Robb and I are asking you to please switch it to this new way Here is how to get you own Big Mike Banner to show your support for good ole Big Mike: 1. Hit profile on top of the screen under FAQ. 2. Then hit profile again, but not the same profile button you hit the last time, this one is midscreen. 3. Then hit signature. 4. Stay tuned for the World Premiere soon! Lastly and most important, a milestone has been reached here on The Road Show! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 has now been viewed..... A Quarter Of A MILLION Times!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! All in less than 1 years time even! A HUGE thank you and a lot of love from Big Mike to all his Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! You are all the best there is! Can't wait to see you all again in 2009! Hope you enjoy the finale of Jeff Johnson week and good luck in trying to win another Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-Shirt! Peace, Big Mike The key is the gazebo in the water, you don't see many of those!! I also think there was a dead end sign in the movie. Best of luck and I hope you enjoyed the trip report! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike is offering an exclusive and rare Big Mike Road Show 2008 Official T-Shirt to the first person who comes up with the movies title!! Around the corner from Grandmas is this dead end where a major motion picture was filmed. This dead end had quite a few scenes filmed on it. Also that weekend, I went to Grandma's 99th birthday party!!! The audience had to fill out these questionaires before entering, and the show was based on sex stories and everyones first time. A hot babe came a little late and passed her questionaire to the end of the row after they stopped collecting them. I just happened to be at the end of the row and since I had nowhere to put it, I pocketed it. I like how she added her own catagory of "Eh". Does it surprise you that Elmer just got an Eh? She advised Elmer to practice more lol. After the games, we caught the show "My First Time" which was pretty good and entertaining. A cute event they had was the 7-8 year old boys and girls "fastest kid in NYC" races. The mens hurdles, an event Big Mike dominated back in elementary school. I was trying to take a picture of the bright markings on the far runners pants but this athlete stretching got in the way. Damn they were fast! Ladies running race. I think Nay is in that group somewhere. We witnessed an indoor pole vault World record. My guest this weekend is non other than Hot Bikini Girl from the Mexico updates once again. Track and Field event. Part of this visit into NYC was to go see the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden. Time for the annual NYC update! Big Mike is back in NYC once again and unknowingly took this picture under this banner. Before Jeff Johnson Week comes to an end, Jeff points out a possible design flaw for all the Valuable Big Mike Readers to watch out for on your next visit to John's Incredible Pizza Co. Thanks Jeff for everything!!! Credit #743 for Big Mike! More importantly, it is a NEW credit for Jeff also!!! Jeff Johnson week is unfortunately coming to a close, I will miss him very much! The train. Big Mike lines up with other die hard coaster riders. Got my fun card and am ready to ride. Look how fast this coaster is flying. Everybody is smiling on this coaster. The Incredible Express! The prices. You need to buy the buffet to be let in to ride the coaster. Big Mike does not have a problem with that at all, but no buffet pictures this time. SharkTums
First off, the pix of Jeff on that Kiddie coaster are amazingly terrifying! KT actually cuddled with me she was so scared!!! Next up.. Is this some sort of Cannoli Cake!??! If it is, I MUST have one!! Did you get it at some famous bakery or something? We used to always get our Cannoli's at Venieros in NYC. Amazing stuff.
