Erik Johnson
I guess they raised the prices of the park by $6. Drat! EDIT: Though you can still buy a ticket online (as long as its at least 3 days in advance) for $39.99 with no tax.
cfc
^Erik, I have a coupon at my office that should save you $15 at the gate (if I'm remembering correctly). It was great day at KD, Mike. I'll post a few "behind-the-scenes at the Big Mike Road Show" pictures tonight.

Drat yet again! Let me know for sure that you have the coupon so Will can use it.
Sue
It seems Cedar Fair likes the purple seat/orange restraint combination. Voodoo at Dorney also has those colors.

ShannonSomerville
Went there this past Sunday with my boyfriend. Despite the weather,we somehow managed to get 21 rides throughout the day, including 10 rides on Flight of Fear(mainly because we wanted to stay dry for a while). cfc
Mike, you picked the right day to visit Kings Dominion last weekend. It's been pouring rain in Virginia since Sunday. It was a good day to be at KD, but there was a minor glitch or two--such as Volcano not being ready to go at opening and Backlot Stunt Coaster being down until early afternoon. But even Hurler was running pretty well, so no real complaints. Here are a few "behind the scenes" shots from the Big Mike Road Show's stop in Virginia--enjoy. "Grrr! Grizzly tired of all this picture taking! Grizzly eat Big Mike's camera!" "Behold, Rugrats Toonpike! Thou shalt call me 'Dominator,' and thou shalt bow to my will! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!" Hmm--"parking-lot coaster," or not? You make the call. . . . still has last year's Haunt maze in it! Yes, now it can be told! These barrels have given all away! Flight of Fear's queue . . . . . . because I'm not. Otherwise, we never would've blown the lid off one of KD's deep, dark secrets. It's a good thing that Big Mike is "authorized personnel," . . . While I puzzle over "Outer Hanks Shrimp Shack." (Hmm--Outer Banks meets Tom Hanks?) Big Mike stops to pay proper homage to ACE in front of Rebel Yell. . . . and keep an eye on your stuff! Note to you East Coast trippers: When riding Anaconda, be sure to hold on tight . . . . . . Big Mike's slant on things. . . . the one-armed paparazzi is sure to follow, just to make sure that we get . . . Yes, wherever Big Mike goes . . . What? Is this new? Oh, my freakin' god! Big Mike
You should have taken a picture when I laid Grizzly flat out on his ass for trying to disrupt The Big Mike Road Show 2008 picture taking Good shots Chuck! Peace, Big Mike

KDCOASTERFAN
It seems Cedar Fair likes the purple seat/orange restraint combination. Voodoo at Dorney also has those colors. I noticed that on the recent Thunderhawk construction updates as the trains appear to be using the same color scheme as on Dominator....Vooddoo's train colors look more like that of Raptor at CP however. From the looks of the Dominator train in the photo the main body color appears to be the same as the seat instead of the yellow that was shown in the coastercrew rendering but then again since Dominator has 3 trains they probably want to alternate the colors on at least two of them who knows? Big Mike
Hi again my friends! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 made it's final stop of the weekend at a park called Adventure Park USA! This park is off all by itself so I think it is safe to say that most of you probably have not seen it's coaster. The Park itself is kind of cool and if I had more time to visit, I would have hit the paintball field, looked so cool. Hope you enjoy everybody! Peace, Big Mike The Big Mike Road Show 2008 departs, but not after taking a picture by the 3rd Adventure Park USA sign. Bumper Boats, Mini Golf, and Paintball lined up in a row. A nice indoor rope course too. Some other rides at the park. This was a fun coaster. Notice the dip right after the lift and how about that bunny hop! Maybe the coolest cars I have ever ridden, even cooler than the Backlot cars a few hours earlier. Another angle and a different Adventure Park USA sign. Here is a full view of the coaster and the go cart track. The Wildcat! This is Big Mike's 576th coaster credit! I bought my card. The coaster was $3 and to activate the card was $1. Here is the price list. Each credit is ten cents. Notice that they don't have the coaster price up there. The Big Mike Road Show 2008 arrives at Adventure Park USA in Maryland. downunder
Fun reports Big Mike, it was an adventure just looking at the photos, you are truly an inspirational whore. Dominator, a parking lot coaster? Looks like a sand lot coaster. You have built up the anticipation meter for all us junior whores on the East Coast trip. bobafett
I look forward to these reports each week. When are you going to be hitting Clementon and Morey's Piers in New Jersey? Keep me updated so we can hook up.

Have you seen the actual Voodoo train? It doesn't look anything like Raptor. Raptor is black, green, and purple. Voodoo is pink, purple, orange, and yellow. Yes, I figure they'll be doing some landscaping around and under it--but it rather close to that parking lot. Adventure Park does look like a nice little place. Looks like you rode a piece of BGE's history, Mike. According to RCDB, the Wildcat started life as "Die Wildkatz" at Busch Gardens: The Old Country from 1976-83. Bubba Z
^ I enjoyed it while it was called Wildcat at Williams Grove as well. I'm glad the town didn't make the park owners tear it down after putting so much work into it... (Something about permits and height and Blah blah blah) the trains and track look amazing. If you ever find yourself going to Wisp Mt from the east, this park is along the way. Well westbound side, anyway Check it out!
