I tried a few times to do a trip report, but no success as it knocks me off. Saturday - Six Flags St. Louis and Miner Mikes Adventure Town COMPLETED Sunday - Rt 66 Carousel Park and Celebration City COMPLETED Today Monday - Silver Dollar City! See you there!!!!! Tuesday - Magic Springs! See you there!!!! Thanks to Adam, Craig, Gage, Kaitlyn, Karen, Casey, Bob, Deb, Mark, and Stephen for meeting up sp far!!!!! Who else??? Jeff (aslinterpreter) - Riding with your son on Patriot sounds great!! Reminds me of riding with Ken's daughter Kayla on Magnum!! Another request. Ken, how is Kayla doing???? So, I am part of a club and can get guest tickets for you if you want to be part of Coaster Mayhem!!! Let me know Update on the ducky contest!!! The ducky did attend Six Flags St. Louis with me but only came out for one picture as Adam has already advanced to round #2 and he was with us. Today I went to look for the ducky and he must have waddled off becuase I could not find him. He reappeared back at the condo when I got home. The Ducky Game will continiue at Silver Dollar City!!!!!!!! Big Mike's 700th Coaster Party will either be at Adventureland in Iowa or Worlds of Fun in Missouri later this week!!! slither37 Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Hey Mike, Kayla is doing great, although school starts in 10 days which she is not happy about. We went to CP on Friday. Best weather ever at CP, it was 75 and sunny all day long, could not believe it was August. It was crowded but got to ride everything. Big Mike Posted August 12, 2008 Author Share Posted August 12, 2008 Hey Friends!! My internet now is totally out, thank goodness I just got this new Blackberry!! Silver Dollar City kicked butt! Was way better than I expected! Also hid lots of duckies!!!! Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Tuesday morning at 11am! 6 more coasters hopefully. This is my only stop in Arkansas, so I could use a Big Mike Reader to show up and check off The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt!!! Will post some trip reports the first time I get some good internet service! If anyone knows about a place called Kiddies Park in Oklahoma and if adults are allowed to ride their coaster, please let me know! The website is down and no one answers their phone. The Big Mike Road Show 2008 had a rain free day in Arkansas today visiting 2 more parks and then sight seeing Branson. There will be a slight change in the schedule tomorrow. Instead of doing OK, KS, NE, and then driving up to IA, we are going to split this into 2 days. I managed to squeeze in Celebration City into a previous day to free up some time to make the driving easier from here on out! Here is the updated schedule just in case you want to meet up... Having a great time so far Sorry that I keep switching up the schedule, makes it very difficult to have people meet up I think I have nailed down the rest of the schedule and it should not change from here on out. Today was a looooong day waking up in Branson Mo, and then going to a park in Oklahoma, a park in Kansas, and then picking up the park that I missed last week when my plane came in late. Now I am at the boder of Nebraska as we speak! Here is the new and updated schedule, and I don't see it changing at all. I have picked up the bad habit of browsing the web on my Blackberry while driving. I have good news and bad news and need to vent, The bad news first. No update again tonight as my GPS has decided once again to screw me over royally! I don't think going from Arnolds Park in IOwA to Adventureland in IOwA is supposed to go through MINNESOTA!!!!!!!!! But here I.am driving through Minn like an ass. I can't wait to get home and look at a map of this! Well there was good news too my friends! Big Mike just rode his 700th coaster, which wound up to be The Legend Coaster at Arnolds Park! Any cheerful comments or congrats will gladly be accepted as I still have 174 miles to go and am just going to stay in my thread until I get there. It makes the drive a lot more enjoyable!! I have some good news too. I wanted you to know that the Big Mike Road Show has inspired me to do my very first TR EVER, ON ANY SITE!!! That's special if you ask me. Here's a link to it. I wouldn't advise that you check it out while on the road though. I want more BMRS updates, and not from the hospital! Follow this link to my report when you get a chance to check it out. I have a Garmin Nuvi 200, It thus far it has work very well for me other then one time when it said that a racetrack a friend of mine and I were going to was way on the other side of that town, the other time being while driving home one night from BGE on a route I normally do not take, it kept loosing signal. After driving through Minnesota for quite a long time, I came to a fork in the road. A right turn would have taken me down to Adventureland in Iowa along with the Iowa state fair. A left turn would have taken me to Valleyfair in Minnesota. I figure the GPS MUST have taken me this way for a reason, right?? So here AGAIN is a new updated schedule: TODAY (Friday) Valleyfair (MN) - 10am Nickelodeon Mall of America (MN) - 1pm Como Town (MN) - 2pm Adventureland (IA) - 7pm Saturday - Worlds of Fun (MO) - 8am This is NOT changing!! Arnolds is in the middle of nowhere and just a few miles south of the MN border. It may actually be fastest to take 90 through MN to get there from Adventureland. Maybe not though...
