printersdevil78 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Wow, good thing I already won a Big Mike T-shirt! This one has me stumped!
King_K. Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Hm, did they film a scene from "The Wrestler" there? Looks familiar, real familiar.
ratdogg68 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I'm going to guess, What Lies Beneath, great report as always.
Big Mike Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Folks! Â So far, nobody has guessed the correct answer! Â Â Elissa, this is indeed a cannoli cake. Grandma loves cannolis! Â I think we got it at our local food market, which does some nice cakes. Â I will have to figure out a way to arrange that you get one! Â Â Keep guessing everybody! Â Â Peace, Big Mike
Coaster Palooza Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Big Mike,  The movie is Summer of Sam.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162677/mediaindex  The third and sixth photos should provide the proof. I could post a link to the YouTube video, but there are a lot of "f" words in the movie.
Big Mike Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 WOW!  See, that just goes to prove that you can NEVER underestimate The Valuable Big Mike Readers!!!  Rick, you are correct!!  The movie was indeed Summer of Sam directed by Spike Lee!  I watched quite a bit of the one scene they filmed there that day over and over and over again.  An Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt will be in the mail shortly!   CONGRATS!!!  Now how in the heck did you figure it out< I am amazed lol   Peace, Big Mike
Coaster Palooza Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 ^I only saw the movie once, but that scene really stuck in my mind. Where you were, reminded me of the movie. Â I thought it was either that movie, or Mystic River because they have a scene on the street also.
Crazy4Coasters! Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Sheeeezzz this guy got that in record time! Well great update "Grande Mike" as always premium content on a premium thread!!! Keep it up and we await the next contest with open arms but hopefully it will last a little longer than posting a response on this thread lol
the ghost Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I say they were clearly boo's of jealousy. I mean, who wouldn't be jealous of an awesome coaster club that doesn't cost anything, has personality, and (from what I hear) has AWESOME trips!!! chris.  So totally agree, I find it hilarious that that Chris mentioned TPR for Terminator pictures. Not that Robb and Elissa don't take the best pictures, but it seems they would use the GCI site. I would much rather have a bunch of awesome people getting a little off topic about coasters, than boring people.
ElToroGirl84 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Edit: I've tried several times putting the banner in my signature but for some odd reason it will not show up when I post. *scratches head* Â Are you selecting attach signature below where you type your post? Â Ah I see, forgot that was unchecked thanks for the help!
kidcoaster 2 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I say they were clearly boo's of jealousy. Not that Robb and Elissa don't take the best pictures, but it seems they would use the GCI site. I would much rather have a bunch of awesome people getting a little off topic about coasters, than boring people.  I would not attack all ACEer's I am a member of TPR (Obviously) and Ace and both are great groups. ACE has the events, The Publications, and The Get togethers, and we all are not boring people .  TPR has the Forum which are awesome. Great people and fun events, the updates and videos. ACE is for the more serious enthusiasts who care about history and small parks and want to see preservation than tearing down and outdated ride for the 500 foot inverted woodie . TPR is geared toward the fun, none serious enthusiasts. I spend more time on TPR than I do with ACE and both are just as great. But TPR has my vote for fun and entertainment but I will always be and ACEr and I'm proud of it.
Mechanic Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 TPR has the Forum which are awesome. Great people and fun events, the updates and videos. ACE is for the more snobby elitist enthusiasts who care about buffets and gravy and want to see bigger buffets and more gravy and promise you a museum so you'll keep sending them money to pay for buffets and gravy. TPR is geared toward the fun, none serious enthusiasts. I spend more time on TPR than I do with ACE and both are just as great. But TPR has my vote for fun and entertainment but I will always be and ACEr and I'll someday have the waistline to prove it. Â ^ Fixed. Â It's just a joke, so please don't get all butt-hurt on me. Although I'm not an ACEr, my waistline qualifies.
kidcoaster 2 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Real mature. Â Seriously Yes some ACErs can be a little over board but not all are bad folks. I am very active with ACE. yes the museum project did fail but the preservation projects are real great (Leap the Dips). And the Buffets TPR gets the same treatment. And no I am not fat I have lost alot of pounds lately and am still losing pounds. I appreciate the personal attack though I found that very incorrect. Once again though not all ACErs should be judged as a group. Some people do stupid or rude things but not every one should be blamed. Â TPR has my vote for most entertaning though.
WFChris Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Big Mike, Keeping that sex survey in your pocket, then posting it on TPR, has got to be the creepiest thing I have ever seen. Keep up the good work! lol... Â Chris.
kidcoaster 2 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Big Mike, Keeping that sex survey in your pocket, then posting it on TPR, has got to be the creepiest thing I have ever seen. Keep up the good work! lol... Â Chris. Â Agreed. A little Weird. Was she hot?
Big Mike Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 She was super hot! Â I just needed to show The Valuable Big Mike Readers the cards they handed out so you could understand the show! Â I would have done it if it was a guys card too. Â Â Peace, Big Mike

A quarter of a MILLION views already and 3rd overall thread in Theme Park Review HISTORY!   I was overwhelmed by the love and support from the great TPR community and most of all, the wonderful and caring friends I met along the way!!!  The friends are the best part of the whole Road Show!   For all the Valuable Big Mike Readers that I met in 2008 or gave me encouragement in the thread along the way, I thank you soooooooo very much!  The best part is, I still have a lot of new friends still to meet in 2009, and a lot of old friends to hang out with again!!!!   One whole year and everyone still wants more What an honor!!  I will do my best to entertain, keep you informed, and bring you even more parks and coasters!   If you are caught up in the emotion of the big 1st anniversary like I am, now is a great time to add the "I am a Valuable Big Mike Reader Banner" and show everyone that you were part of the first years success!!!  Here is how to get you own Big Mike Banner to show your support for good ole Big Mike:  1. Hit profile on top of the screen under FAQ.  2. Then hit profile again, but not the same profile button you hit the last time, this one is midscreen.  3. Then hit signature.  4. Use code robb gave us below.  Once again here is the code to add to your signature:  Just copy and paste the code right into the signature box! By now, Big Mike was over stuffed and ready to have Joey help him out with his T-shirt! Since no one was around back in Arkansas to assist Big Mike, Joey checks off Arkansas on The Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-Shirt! Dinner! You could just go back in line and get another meal. I think I could have brought a family of four and just paid once and with a little patience, just kept getting meals for the whole family. Lunch! Breakfast! Big Mike signed up for this All You Can Eat pass and figured how could I go wrong? Random pictures of Big Mike tomfoolery: Can you find Big Mike? Since I did not have a park map at the start of the report, I will put up Crustyland's park map instead and go ride that huge coaster in the back of the park. The new Simpsons Ride! The big plane landing in the water just like in the Hudson in NY. For the Valuable Big Mike Readers. Water World. Look who is in charge of this area, Joey (Jew) from TPR!!! The water stops to reveal this big LOUD dinasour! Water before the big plunge. This guy squirted me! Scenery. The lift. I will make up for it by making believe Jurassic Park was a coaster lol. The Revenge of the Mummy! Credit #744 for Big Mike! Since it is indoors, I have no pictures for you This was really good. Plane crash. Psycho House. Wisteria Lane. Jaws. Earthquake! Part the waters. The old west. See the guy falling after getting shot? Flash flood coming. I thought when the cars blew up and flew in the air, that was awesome! Fast and the Furious. Made me think of my good buddy Ryan! Rickety bridge. First we see where the fire destroyed part of the back lot and the construction to rebuild it. Now that the work was done and I got some great shots from the model Big Mike Style, it was time to enjoy the Studio Tour! Since Big Mike was directing, what Big Mike said goes! I told the model I wanted to see some ass and told this assistant to go show me some. Universal saw the success of The Big Mike Road Show and wanted me to direct thier wedding shoot, so I said why not? Time for a little work for Universal before I get to go have some fun at thier park. You always have to "return the love" that the fans show to you! It was a great feeling strolling around saying hi to all the great people who came out to say hello. There we go, Big Mike REALLY in sunny California and ready to have lots of fun! First though, I had to go say hi to the Big Mike fans and do a little work for Universal. Big Mike is sunny California, well maybe if the person who took this could aim right lol. Halloween Horror Nights is going on also, my favorite Halloween event! The prices. Notice the all you can eat pass, more on that later! Universal Studios Hollywood! Stop #98 on The Big Mike Road Show 2008!
