I've been on the Starliner. When I rode it during the opening hours of the day, the ride was OK, but gave no airtime. 6 hours later I rode it and it gave some airtime and seemed faster in the beginning. Overall, I thought it was an OK coaster. Nothing really bad about it, but nothing really outstanding about it either. I think it'll be a good family coaster.

You can see a POV ride of the Starliner in my Miracle Strip Amusement Park video here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/contest2005/contest2005.htm

I think it'll be a good fit for CG. It's not meant to be a mega-coaster park anyway (there isn't enough real-estate IMO.)

Plus there's that aura of history about it. CG being the oldest theme park in FL and the Starliner being the oldest woodie in FL... A match made in heaven!

Don't count on it being the same Starliner that once sat at Miracle Strip. John Fetterman (Knoebels) has been brought in to work on the relocation. He did Phoenix 20 years ago, and when it reopened it was not the same ride it was at Playland.

That's interesting. I wouldn't be surprised. The Starliner is over 2,600 feet long, while the existing Triple Hurricane at CG is just over 1,300 feet. There really isn't enough space to put in a 2,600 ft. long coaster at CG. I'm guessing they'll have to shorten the Starliner somehow...
