If I look out my mom's bedroom window (she lives across the street) I can see Kennywood- in particular the Phantom, Thunderbolt, PittFall, Skycoaster. Fun.

Chessington is a little bit closer than Thorpe along the motorway. Literally a few miniutes. I'm not sure how far Chessie/Thorpe are by road. About 45mins? I take public transport, which takes about 1:10 to Thorpe, just under an hour for Chessie.

 

Legoland is a little further in the same direction. Then Paultons to the south and the southern seaside credits. Adventure Island can't be that far either.

 

It makes me giggle when people list parks like 3 hours to them. Hehe, Alton's about that far if the traffic's good. Which means Drayton is too.

Well I live in Scotland (UK) and my local park is Loudoun Castle! It's about 30 to 40 mins away, by car.

Mine is Castles n Coasters which is about 20 to 30 minutes away from my house. The sad part is that the next closest park is probaly Disney or something and that's 6 to 7 hours.

PKI is 2 1/2 hrs.

Holiday World is 2 hrs.

Indiana Beach (which is rather dull) is 1 hr.

SFKK is around 2 hrs.

Michigan Adventure is around 4 1/2 hrs.

SFGA (Chicago) is about 3 hrs.

The Indiana State Fair is about 1/2 hr from my doorstep.

Wisconsin Dells is around 5 1/2 hrs.

To make a short story long...

-My original home park "was" the classic Whalom Park in Lunenburg MA (RIP) which was 20 min from my house and where I rode my first rollercoaster ever on the Comet with the "Black Hole".

-Riverside Park in Agawam MA (now SFNE) which was 2 hours away.

 

Now that I have moved to TN I am happy to say that

-Dollywood is my closest and home park about 2 hours away

-SFOG is about 4 hours away, but I still have to make it there

I was born in Tilburg, south of the Netherlands, about 10 minutes away from the Efteling. I lived there for about 10 years.

 

After that we moved to the north of the Netherlands and now it's still my home park, but 2½ hours away. Walibi World is about 1½ hours away. Slagharen somewhere in an hour, Heide-Park in 3 hours, Moviepark Germany 3 hours, Phantasialand 4 hours... It can all be done in a day!

 

Oh, wait! 20 mintes away is "Speelstad Oranje"! It's an indoor kiddie-park...
