What is your local park?

My "home" parks were Cedar Point and SF GrAm. But, now that I am older, wiser, and no longer "home". My park would have been OpryLand , but I will go with SFoG since I will be moving to Atlanta in May.

My first "home" park (and forever, in my heart) was Astroworld. I grew up in that park. I rode my first coaster there, and had many of my coaster "firsts" there.... first woodie, first steel, first loop, etc.

 

My home park now is Six Flags Fiesta Texas, about 3 miles away. I could probably see the Scream tower from our apartment complex if I could stand on top of the building.

 

We also have Sea World San Antonio about 10 miles, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels about 40 minutes, and Six Flags Over Texas about 4.5 hours.

I live in Kaatsheuvel, The Netherlands. I can see De Efteling's entrance from my bed room.

Gold Reef City - 13hours!

 

Cedar Point - 19 hours of flight

All the parks in the Netherlands are within a three hour drive. Efteling will be this year's homepark, since I have a season pass for the park.

 

Some parks in Germany: Heide Park (3 hours), Moviepark Germany (3 hours), Phantasialand (4 hours). Holiday Park (6 hours)

I don't know whether Texas is considered the south or the west, but my home park is SFOT...I live in Dallas.

Mine is Geauga Lake which is about 20 minutes away. And Cedar Point comes in second at 1 1/2 hours away.

We do have a tiny themepark really close by:

Taunus Wunderland 20min away. But this Park is really for the young ones.

I live in Bath in the UK. I guess my current 'local' park would have to be either Legoland Windsor (never bean) or Thorpe, which is about 2 hours away. I used to live in Pembroke in south-west Wales, so had Oakwood just 10 minutes away.

TPR may have noticed a highly polluted area on the M4 between Coney beach and Oakwood during the UK tour. That's Port Talbot, I'm around 5 miles away from Coney Beach in Porthcawl xD

My home park is Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Haven't been there since last August, and haven't seen the new theming.

I have a small park in malmö city wich takes me 10 min to walk to but here is the big parks:

liseberg: 5 hour with car

gröna lund: 1,5 hours with airplane

tivoli gardens: 20 min with train

bakken: 30 min

Local Park: Cedar Point (Even though it's 2.5 hours away). Detroit needs its own park!
