PennStater
That July info is "fake news" which originated from an inaccurate newscast. We should get more accurate details from Nick Paradise at CoasterBash tomorrow, although I'm sure they still don't have an exact date. i305isdaddy
That's good news re: the employee pay increases, though I'm still shocked at how low it is given the fact that these employees can be responsible for people's lives. I hope this trend spreads in the industry, or at least to Carowinds and SFGAM, because the lack of staff at the beginning and end of the seasons really affects the quality of a day at those two parks in my experience. Pretty much every seasonal park is having staffing issues across the country

This is why I didnt post it. I was wondering how they got that July date and why I didnt see it anywhere else... Oh good, I hope they can get at least a rough-ish estimate. EDIT: The person that originally shared that news story said they mentioned to the park who actually responded and did confirm they asked the news channel to remove it, that they ran that story without asking them about it and had no idea how they came up with July. So that is hopeful

thrillseeker4552
Looking good! This lift hill is 50-degrees, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that the steepest non-vertical lift hill out there?

jedimaster1227
Kennywood continues to share excellent construction photos as the Steel Curtain roller coaster grows by the day! Rain or shine, sun or snow, this project isn't slowing! Like most the rest of Kennywood, #SteelCurtain construction looks better with a beautiful blue sky backdrop! Just wait until this is finished and complemented by green trees! This post comes in honor of Dr. Seuss, who would be 115 years old today... Sun, wind, rain or snow; Construction on Steelers Country continues to go! Steel was flying high this afternoon as crews continue installing the lift hill on #SteelCurtain! Getting in gear: along with installation of the lift hill comes parts of The #SteelCurtain's chain lift mechanism.

philthephorce
I heard the banana roll got traded to Six Flags Magic Mountain for almost nothing in return. It's true! Good riddance to that banana roll, who believed he was taller than the rest of the ride.
jedimaster1227
We continue to see great new updates from Kennywood's Twitter account on the construction of Steel Curtain! This thing continues to grow as the lift hill hill has been completed and work on the station track is under way! Steel Curtain’s lift hill is nearing its maximum height of 220 feet! #SteelCurtain Pics: @jake_mysliwczyk Lots of heavy lifting done on The #SteelCurtain lift hill over the past several days. Let's see if we can't get this baby to 220 this week! Talk about a mesh point! From left to right, you have the lift hill, corked roll and banana roll all zipping through view. #SteelCurtain Get excited, roller coaster fans! While ironworkers continue install at the top of The #SteelCurtain lift hill, crews on the ground are busy on the loading station.

KarlaKoaster
Great pictures, especially the workstation one - it's an interesting aspect you don't normally get to see (although it does remind me of flat pack furniture assembly instructions!)
