montezooma
Hello Attic Fans- Don't worry, the attic has not gone dry. There is still plenty to share. I just got back from a great TPR to Dubai and my hats off to Elissa & Robb for such incredible planning, organization and especially bonuses. The water park day was the sh*t!. So before we get ready to open Cowabunga Bay for the 4th season I am going to squeeze in some Amusment Attic updates. So let's start off with a look at the old Elitch Gardens and the true Twister. Hilltopper39
Nice update Shane, as a child I was fascinated by Elitch Gardens. I had an old VHS roller coaster tape that showed a little bit of footage of the Twister (not a full POV like the rest of the rides on the tape) and it looked the most terrifying wooden coaster ever built to my 8 year old eyes. The original Mister Twister is always in my top 5 wish I could have ridden that before it was demolished coasters. Oh and your water parks looks great, if i ever make it out to Utah I'd love to spend some time there.
RoCo
Cowabunga Bay looks great! When I next get back to Utah, I'll make sure to include a stop there, too.
birds of fire
i grew up going to Elitch's every summer. LOVE ME SOME MR. TWISTER, one of the best vintage woodies ever, especially in the rain
MrSum1_55
I never rode the original Mr Twister, but it is a shame to think about how great the original must of been, and how lame the reconstruction is. When rebuilding the ride, the park should have stuck more with the original plans, like Knoebels did. That is why Knoebels' Twister is awesome, while Elich's is only a shadow of what it could have been.

chadster
I love Silverwood! Fantastic park that has some great wood! I especially liked the early on media, so old school, but so awesome. And thanks for making me feel old... I graduated in 1996....

montezooma
Shane - Is there a year listed in small print for the first two brochures you posted? I see the last two are from '94 and '96. thanks Sorry Larry, there is nothing on them that indicates the date. Judging from the artistic style I would guess sometime in the later 40’s. montezooma
As promised, here is more or Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho. I wish there was more I could say about this small park, but quite honestly I don't know too much about it. I have visited it a couple of times and always love riding the Corkscrew because it takes me back to the Roaring 20's of Knott's. Anyone know of any interesting facts or history of this park? Please share.
galindoverhere
Wow, looks awesome! I'm doing my first visit to Silverwood this Memorial Day weekend and it looks a LOT different from what I'm expecting. I wish most parks still had this type of look and feeling

I meant the stylist look of the brochure seems like it came out of the 1940’s.

Koepp My sister taped over a good chunk of the special; From Raptor to Shivering Timbers is completely lost; It hurt even more when Alabama Adventures closed down. Losing that special and Alabama Adventures hurt me ALOT this year. Especially since I was 90% close to getting there in October. Don't ask why I couldn't cause the answer is worse. Did not mean to say anything crass about Elissa. I just thought mentioning her would increase the chance of you posting the video.
