Electerik
Thanks for this! And yes, the Flintstone Freeway looks amazing!
netdvn
I fully realize that today's youth (and most of society) doesn't find HB to be relevant, but damn it...I could use my Hong Kong Phooey, Captain Caveman, Snagglepuss, and Jabberjaw fix!! Nowadays, I only see these characters on TV's "Boomerang". Otherwise, they are completely non existant in all forms of media. Actually IIRC, Scooby Doo is still going strong after all these years, a live action CGI Yogi Bear movie was just released and there's a planned Smurfs movie in production, so I wouldn't say HB is out of date yet (especially with beloved 80s cartoon franchises coming back). It would be interesting to see how some of these rides would turn out today if they were actually built. That dark ride concept is pretty cool on top of the well-themed Flintstones and Jetsons rides. I wonder how some of these rides would transition to the Nickelodeon/Peanuts rethemes that most of the former Paramount parks underwent.
mightbeawannabe
I wonder which one this was for...It'd be great at any of them I'd say! Either Wonderland (Australia can't be forgotten, folks ), KI, or KD would have been amazing with this plan.
Hurricane
Wouldn't surprise me if it was for Australia's Wonderland. As it was a new park in the 80's... it's entirely possible that this concept art was for the AU park. It did have alot of buildings very similar in the park too...
