nick mac
Small Update Look what i found in the newspaper Advancing in more ways than one... - Six Flags Miami is Opening soon. NEW York Times, Friday Nov. 22 Andrew Hugs Six Flags Miami Inc. will officially open their gates, this season. Home to a wide variety of amazing rides, the is set on December 1st." Six Flags Miami will remain the only park in the country to stay open during winter." This advancement came with a technological revolution installed in Six Flags Miami. The rides feature a new system by Six Flags Miami Inc., which monitors the air temperature and adjusts the temperature accordingly. However, the multi-million dollar system is run by Solar Panels with back up power, as the park owners remain concerned about the issue of climate change. "We are a 21st century theme park and in the 21st century we must make accurate measures to ensure the sustainability of our environment." The park will be the most environmentally friendly, and water-conscious on the planet, whilst also offering year round fun. Off-season Annual Passes will be available for cheaper prices than the regular Full season Annual Pass. Opening on December 1st, the park is set to host many VIP guests for its opening day - including Al Gore. VIP's will be given front of line passage. Tickets for opening day sold at a huge price of $50.00 each, with guests from all over the country wanting to be part of park history. "It's an amazing response, and we are proud to have such guests taking interest in this amazing investment." says the CEO. The park has started on another part of the park that will not be ready for the parks opening. The are also working on a parking lot that will be ready for the opening. NY Times will be on the scene on opening day to bring you a report. terrancew_hod
Just a few non technical observations for theming: 1. Most structures in the park should have carribean themes. This is the state closest to Latin America and the Carribean so you'll be pulling themes from that. 2. Land is at a premium down here, so you should be incorporating a lot more water and retaining pools in the area. Besides when the hurricanes come that water needs to go somewhere! If the park were somewhat realistic, the park will be close to the everglades and not the coast where people are building nothing but condos. There's no room for a park there anyway, unless you buy out Boomer's in Ft Lauderdale (which was the site for the south florida Six Flags) You'll have more room to build out there.... so you'll have massive folliage surrounding the park, and canals and retaining pools to handle flooding issues. 3. Since Miami is below sea level, there aren't any types of hills... just converted swamp land and foliage. The largest "hills" down here are landfills. 4. With #2, you're probably going to be using a lot more compact rides and things that can fit in a small area. Hypercoasters will probably be out since a small hurricane will knock it down. (you could probably use coasters with reinforced stuctures. The Dania Beach Hurricane was made to withstand most high winds... that's how it made it through the hurricanes that swept through the area these past years.) 5. This park is based on Miami? Up those food prices! You're giving it away! It should be about $5 for a hamburger at least. People should be paying between $10-15 for a simple meal. 6. Miami is also based on looks, not substance. So your park should reflect that. Use this as an example: http://www.co.miami-dade.fl.us/vizcaya/photo-vizcaya_1.asp That should make the theming a bit more accurate. upside down
I'm not sure what the file name is, but it should be something like, my computer > C drive > program files > atari > rollercoaster tycoon 3, then just browse around for parks or something, then click add photo, video or other attachment, find the file, and then a download should show up in the post.
