East Coast Oct Trip?

What is the coaster lineup for Carowinds on this coming Friday (Oct. 19) night? Are only some of the 12 coasters open on Friday nights or are all rides open? I am going to be in the area on Friday night and want to know if it is worth hitting up the park. Hopefully Carowinds isn't like Cedar Point on a Friday and not every coaster is open.

Also I am a Cedar Point Season pass holder, does this get me into Carowinds on a Friday night? From my understanding it does and then if I want to go into the Sacarowinds portion of the park that will be extra. Is this correct?

I don't know about ither CF parks, but at KI, Friday is one of the least crowded nights.

I didn't see anything about their rides open on Friday/Scarowinds night, but you can check on www.carowinds.com

Carowinds is an awesome park for a small visit! Top Gun is worth a stop by the park and you should get a few rides on it! I got all my credits in a 4 hours stob by on the way to SC. BORG may have a large line just because it's the flyer.

You should try e-mailing them. I did that last month and they answered pretty quickly. The only coasters closed according to their website are Super Saturator and Thunder Road Backwards. Top Gun was closed for a month, but I believe it just reopened this past weekend.

I know Top Gun was open this past weekend (finally) but I'm not sure if they are running all the coasters during Scarowinds.

I would assume that like most years, the kiddie coasters won't be running.

Most of the other coasters should be open though. In the past I can recall Top Gun, Carolina cyclone, Thunder Road, Ricochet, Hurler all being open, but I haven't been this year to Scarowinds.

WORD OF CAUTION:

Don't ride Thunder Road on a wheel and don't ride Hurler anywhere but the front row. Seriously.

EDIT:

I've asked someone over on carowindsconnection.com to see if they can tell me what was running the 2 nights he was there. I'll let you know if he responds.

As far as admission: Scarowinds is an upcharge event if you are a Maxx pass season passholder. But they should give you the $19.99 "deal" since you have a Maxx Pass.

If you don't have a Maxx pass, then I'm not sure. Regular Scarowinds admission is like $30. But a lot of times the people in the booth will let you get the season pass deal if you show them your pass.

Good news! This was from my friend on carowindsconnection...

Both times I went they were all open. With, of course, Top Gun and Backwards T.R. being closed at the time.

I was surprised that Hurler was open. I thought with the new Haunt there it would not be open but I guess the dry screaming greasless track added to the scares.

Top Gun should be open and of course backwards TR is down the rest of the year as well as Saturator.

Otherwise, looks like all the adult coasters will be up.

Dude, I'm going to be there friday night, we should meet up! Anyways, most everything should be open. Only thing that I know will be closed is TR backwards, and that's because they haven't finished the refurb on it. Price for entry to Scarowinds for season pass holders is $20.00.
