CoasterCanada
Your right Xxcrazzy_goodxX... The Predator at SF Darien Lake is pretty bad. I thought some of the woodies here in Canada were ruff but then I went on The Predator last year and found out that it was twice as bad. After reading this page I really dont think I want to ride any roller coaster in California. They dont seem to be very safe. BTW - That ride in Las Vegas called "Manhattan Express" looks like its ready to fall of the track. SCARY! Another thing that is scary is the $12.50 Price tag to ride it. You would think they would put some $$$ into fixing the ride.
crispy
"As a rule, I found all the woodies of California (with the exception of Ghost Rider) pretty horrible. And Ghost rider wasn't much better."     , hey I lived By the SCBB most of my life and LOVE the Giant Dipper, I now live in Albuquerque, and all I can say is Thank god for Cliff's and the NM Rattler   Anyway the worst coaster I have been on is the Grizzly at Paramounts great america, a painful experience, and it never fails, everytime I go I get on that thing  no pic, sorry
Canobie Fan
Hmm I made this topic and posted 2 photos yet my post seems to be gone? whatever... Â I had posted photos of Volare and Hypersonic as being crappy coasters.
slick
The cyclone at dreamworld is by far one of the most boring coasters on the planet. Â It has zero airtime, a super ultra uncomfortable half corkscrew attempting a sidewinder, the smallest vertical loop you'd ever see, EXTREMELY ROUGH, and the queue line is terrible. It's like Windjammer except made by arrow! Â Here's some ultra tiny photos after finding out that photos should be under 800X600. Â Ben "thinks they should be thumbnails so my photos can be a decent quality " Roach.
slick
Could Elissa or someone delete this post please? there's no place where i can do it myself, and my sometimes dodgy computer double posted the same thing. nitro17
Medusa and sfgadv is by far my least favorite coaster. It is very "vibratey" everywhere and it kills your head. Â I feel sorry for you guys because you have to deal with Scream. I heard that is worse!
Peis
The worst coaster ever was "Cool & Fresh" who was travling on german fairs.  Photos: http://www.europeanrides.com/ridehtml/coast_coolandfresh.html   Videos:  http://www.europeanrides.com/homepage/videoclips.html Edited February 20, 2005 by Peis
bgwfreak
It must be a ninja thing. Â Ninja at SFOG has got to be the worst looper I've been on. The whole brake run shakes back and forth when you hit the brakes. Â The corks are taken so slow it feels like you will fall out. Â Hypersonic XLC isn't one of my favorites either. The hump is so tiny that it causes me pain every time I ride it.
nissanskyline1235
the desert storm at castle's N' coasters, ouch, I find the loops to be neck-snapping.
coasterzak
I think it's a tossup between Viper at SFGAdv and SOB. Anyone want to come to PKI and have the world's largest bonfire?
Scaparri
Most of the coasters I really dislike nowadays (i.e. Iron Wolf) used to be amazing years ago. Some of my least favorite coasters overall would be Mean Streak and Great American Scream Machine (SFOG). I find these coasters to just be overall boring and sometimes painful. I can't really think of a truly bad coaster though. Â The lone coaster that I refuse to ride anymore is Iron Wolf. This ride has just become far too rough. It's really a shame because it wasn't too long ago that this ride was amazing. It used to be my favorite stand-up ahead of rides like Scorcher, Mantis, and Chang, but then it decided to start sucking. It's a shame.

josephwanek
For some reason I have had pretty smooth rides on Ninja at SFOG and Iron Wolf. With both of them I was expecting a bumpy ride, but I was actually surprised. Especially Iron Wolf, I think it's my favorite standup.

Red Benny
Mine would have to be a three-way tie: Â 1) Hurricane @ SCBB http://www.rcdb.com/ig205.htm?picture=4 - Way too slow for those curves, feels like you're going to fall out. 2) Cyclone @ SFNE http://www.rcdb.com/ig180.htm?picture=6 - Just painful.. extremely painful. 3) Canyon Blaster @ Great Escape http://www.rcdb.com/ig2214.htm?picture=20 - The most boring excuse for a roller coaster I've ever seen. Â In response to what someone else said about the Giant Dipper.. I completely agree.. it is the smoothest woodie in CA. I was fortunate enough to live a block away for a year, I used to go on it almost every morning when I went out for coffee!
bgwfreak
Two coasters that pop up on these lists that always kind of confuse me... Â Mean Streak and Son of Beast. Â Last time I was on Mean Streak it was loaded with air time and running smooth. That was 3 years ago. In 99 it was rougher and slower. Â But based on my last ride it's in my Top 5 woodys. Â Son of Beast. Â Ok yeah the layout is a little boring, but come on it's the fastest and tallest wooden coaster in the world. And as far as being rough, what did you expect from an 80mph woody? I myself love Cyclone in the backseat with a highbar and nontight belt. The first drop is STILL great.. Just not as good as it as.. Â But yeah... CB is a very crappy coaster... But its for kids... Red Benny
I myself love Cyclone in the backseat with a highbar and nontight belt. The first drop is STILL great.. Just not as good as it as.. Â Maybe I just need to ride it again. I was in the back seat my first and only ride and I kept getting slammed into the lap bar every time we went down a drop. If they took out the seat divider as well it would be a lot more comfortable. I'm all for woodies being a little rough, but not at the expense of enjoying the ride. coasterboy76
by far one of the worst coasters ever is the dreaded Ninja here at Six Flags over Mid America, it has NEVER been a good ride! also Gwazi was a BIG waste of time, and bringing up third place would be that awefull thing people like to call the Manhattan Express!! CreativeForce
I can't believe no one has mentioned that evil monstrosity known as Flashback at SFMM. From the very first time I rode that thing it was painful, now they don't even run it most of the time. It's just taking up space, destroy it now! squirmy_wormy
One of the worst coasters I have been on has to be Zonga in SFMW when I rode it with my uncle, I had a headache because my head was jostled around and kept hitting the sides and back of the seat. X
FLASHBACK at SFMM for SURE! The ride is rougher than hell! I got brusies on my head from the roughness! The ride STINKS!
