DeliriumTrigger
Well having just got home from seeing the second installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, I can only use one word to describe it: Incredible. However...if it were possible to describe something as absolutely terrible, but meant in a good way, then that would apply to the ending of this film. Oh, and to those who are wondering, there is a scene following the credits.
boothy
^Yeah, I felt the same way about that ending. It was just like a poor trailer for the third movie. They even used the title "At World's End" in the dialogue. Cheesy. The movie itself was amazing though. Stiunning visuals and a great soundtrack from on of the best modern composers of our time. The 2.5 hours flew by too. ***SPOILER*** How is Barbossa alive? And I can only assume Jack will come away from his battle, comepletly unscathed, to show up in the third movie. Obviously. ***END SPOILER*** Yep. My rating 9/10. Very re-watchable.
DeliriumTrigger
^I don't think we're on the same page haha...I wasn't saying the ending was bad, just that its a great cliffhanger...one you love to hate. I don't like posting spoilers without making them invisible...or in this case at least hard to read since there isn't a spoiler code...so highlight the below to read. Far as Barbossa...all that would have to happen is for him to lift a piece of the Aztec gold out of the chest...whether or not that was under his own power doesn't make much difference
sixflagsmagicmountain
Pirates was so awesome, I personally liked it better than the first one, I thought it was more entertaining.
CoasterDude211
Saw Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest at midnight and loved it. 9/10 Not quite as good as the first but really close. I give the first a 10/10. The movie flew by and was really good. It also had a great new score. And at my work today I went into one of the theaters and watched 30 mins. of the movie during my break and it was even better the second time around. tHe Won
Well, I actually hated POTC2. The plot had too many holes and the characters were a little over the top if you ask me. Good sound track and all. Too much CGI. Go ride Pirates at DLR. To each his own opinion.
HAYASHI
hmm.. i think POTC (the first one) was better.
phazan
Pirates of the Caribbean!! Great, just like the last one! Exciting, and funny. My theater experience wasn't that great though. The price difference between a huge soda and a small one is 50 cents, so I got the huge Coke...I had to go to the bathroom twice during the movie! Also, Mari was making annoying fake Gasp sounds the whole time, and Prent was talking and singing along to the music out loud, AND I was on the side of the theater because poor old Mari wanted a guy to keep her from getting scared to sit next to her...Grrr..but, the movie rocked, by seeing the ending they have to be making a third one. THE ENDING WILL SHOCK YOU!!
Penguin
I also saw Pirates and loved it. I thought it was just as good as the first one. ^Wall Street Journal reported that they filmed some of the scenes for the 3rd movie while doing the 2nd. They are suppose to continue filming in the next couple of months and hope to release it in the summer of 07. I can't wait to see it.

tinkerbell
I was disappointed with POTC 2. To me, it was nowhere near as good as the first one. The plot was unorganized and it went a little overboard with the special effects. Also, the characters weren't as likeable; I'm not really sure why, but they seemed that way to me. Overall, I did like POTC 2 (and I'd watch it again), but it could have been a lot better. I think maybe the reason it wasn't as good is because it had to go from the first one and lead into the third one, resulting in a lot of unfinished stories. I loved the surprise ending though! I'm hoping the third movie will be good now.
tHe Won
^Wow, I felt like I just read my own post! That's exactly how I felt about the movie.

socalMAN123
Superman Returns 9.5/10 This movie almost deserves a 10, but had some minor, minor flaws. The special effects in this movie were amazing and so is the music. I had a problem with Lois Lane and how she seemed a little to "Oh my gosh!" blonde. Kitty and Lex Luthor were casted very well. Overrall, this was a very good movie and I would see it again. ---Brent
Tömmioh
^ I look forward to that movie, especially after all your reviews, shame I still have to wait 3.5 weeks until it comes to Finland. Anyway, went to see some movies recently, first last Wednesday I saw the somewhat old Mission: Impossible III (3), because of a discounted ticket, that would very soon be out of date. The movie was quite good, better than the 2nd imo, there was lots of action, suspense, the plot was alright, and the acting was quite good. It was a bit stupid that they had so loud sounds in the cinema, loudest I've heard so far, even though it was a small hall with only four other people watching. I'd give it 7.5/10 Last Friday I went to see She's The Man, because my sister wanted me to come with her... (seriously!), as long as I don't need to pay for it, I'll watch about anything. The movie did surprise me, positively. It was actually quite good and funny for its 'genre', even though a bit steorotypical and cheesy, but still worth watching, I think. I'd give it 7.5/10. Rollerholden
I just got back from Pirates of the Caribbean. It got confusing and hard to follow at some places (well, for me). I really liked this movie. Johnny Depp was really good. The movie was all sold out too, full theater.
pvcoasterguy
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 9/10 Excellent film. I didn't think that it was going to be as good as the first, but I thought it was better. The plot was very interesting. It has a great mix of humor and action. I hated the ending, however. It set it up way too much for the third film, and it had no sense of closure.

Rollerholden
I hated the ending, however. It set it up way too much for the third film, and it had no sense of closure. I totally agree. It was really weird I thought...and gross!

obeygiant
I just saw POTC and I actuallly thought it wasn't that good. I mean, the special effects were amazing, they really looked real, and Johnny Depp was good, but some things I just didn't like. I thought the movie was way too dragged out and **SPOILER COMING UP** I thought the whole story with Wills dad was stupid.
Masked_Maverick
Walking Tall with The Rock. Pretty good I like it a lot of action. Too short though. 7/
