Musical Circus is worth a visit just for the ride system--it's like something you'd find at Epcot (only with singing critters and demons).

Forget the coasters, everyone agrees this is the HOTTEST chick in the whole damn park!!!

Um, Robb?

No no no no no.

Not The Hottest.

In Parque Espana.

I found The Hottest in the park!

(see below)

Great TR Robb, by the by. It's a kick remembering it was only a few weeks ago that all this happened, etc. Cool!

Are these ladies not dazzling and... HOT-looking? Okay okay, the red color DOES help I know. Still..... hot.

let us not forget the wine cask sparkly glittering ride of enchanting glittery sparklyness! and the only non-polar themed ice house with the bed that burned lou's backside! Parque Espana is also where Peter and I found our awesome japanese t-shirts. Premium Scientific Optimism! $20 Culture!!

OMG - Musical Circus kind of made me forget about Shining Luminous Castle "Sparkling Carnival Ride"! And that is it's name on the park map, heh heh.

A veritible explosion of lights, lights and ..... lights.

I think also, that the temp on Parque Espana's Ice House was a bit 'up' from a few of the others we found before and after it. I took a remote pic with Mark and Adam inside of this one, and fortunately the not-too-cold-inside didn't freeze up my camera.

Like some *#^@#!&$ lemon honey sherbet did in TDL later on, lol.

Best icehouse of the trip! Richard and I stayed in there for a good ten or fifteen minutes. WTF was with the sunflowers?!

the sunflowers?!

Just their way of showing they care...

Who knows? Sunflowers are The National Flower of Spain it seems. So a few dozen or so of them frozen in blocks of ice shouldn't be that surprising, hmm?

Did any of you catch that bizarre parade at Espana? How many theme parks do you know that pay tribute to Picasso and Salvador Dali?

KidTums LOVED Shining Luminous Castle "Sparkling Carnival Ride"!

And yes, we did catch the parade, but I believe Robb, Dan, and Joey were too busy checking out some of the 'dancers' to appreciate the bizarre floats!

Did any of you catch that bizarre parade at Espana?

We got trapped in a corner near Bullfight Coaster while the parade was going on, so we watched, and I danced and waved, and then one of the soldier type guys on a float (one of the dudes with a sword and a shield) looked me right up and down, nodded and winked, and proceeded to watch me the whole way down the street. The only time in my life an actor in a parade has ever undressed me with his eyes. I hold this memory dearly.

I caught the end of it, and thought

"Hmmm - next time, next visit - must catch this parade."

I saw the float about Dali and figured Only In Spain....

But then - we weren't, lol.

It looked trippy - and it also appeared that more than one of them on the floats or walking the parade route, had that Undressing-you-with-their-eyes Look, Louise.

Trust me.

Hi Lou - I have nothing to say except that I am in dire need of vomit to stick my hands in!

Miss you - Adam

Huh? There was a parade? We thought it was just those two ridiculously hot Spanish chicks (one of them was the girl featured in that picture).

^^^I bet Robb was one of these "eye undressers." He gave me "the look" several times. I felt kind of dirty.

Get real Barry. Your mom didn't even want to undress you as a kid. That's why you took baths with your clothes on.

I feel I have a right to say this since I sent Barry a spiffy t-shirt.

Next up! Nagashima Spaland.

I always thought that Nagashima Spaland is kind of like "Cedar Point stuck in the 80s" for some reason. We had a really nice visit to the park this day. Started out with ERT on White Cyclone and then Steel Dragon 2000.

White Cyclone seemed MUCH better than it was the last time we rode it, and perhaps it was because we were in the front seat, but it felt faster and had some pops of airtime.

Steel Dragon was a lot of fun, but it wasn't as "intense" or thrilling as I thought a 300ft roller coaster would be. I would have to give the slight edge to Millennium Force on this one, but that being said everyone in our group really seemed to like the ride!

If you haven't checked out the POV we posted of it, you can find it in the TPR Members Forum here:

nagashimaspaland26.jpg.57c92a3ee9d494a3566fc4855cebbb06.jpg

And I even got my sushi credit for the trip! =)

nagashimaspaland25.jpg.c873294b1dc6bc74295a5bbd0833b7d2.jpg

We made it back to Nagoya where we ate right NEXT to the place with the giant robotic crab out front.

nagashimaspaland24.jpg.daa4fc0330635bd3ba4c5c643b8d5730.jpg

And now for some REAL credit whoring!!!

nagashimaspaland22.jpg.84d15aebd5cfc0e6521b460622dfd507.jpg

It was another one of those decent sized Japanese "Jet Coasters" that didn't really do much. There must be like 100 of these all over the country!

nagashimaspaland21.jpg.7b313d356b61f990a9a9b6cc4b49daf6.jpg

Now THIS is a real coaster! And of all people, why is BARRY giving me that "C'mon, enough with the camera..." look!

nagashimaspaland20.jpg.cdaede6146cadd0242a6c5dfff8d1cbe.jpg

...and it kind of felt more like an "Alpine Slide"....I dunno. I don't think this counts.

nagashimaspaland19.jpg.b78817fd1f6eca891bb60c4437c6241d.jpg

There was just like "too much asphault" for it to really be a coaster....

nagashimaspaland18.jpg.bd99903c2beb49614a53bdec497a3f29.jpg

I just don't know if I can count this as a "coaster" credit. I know it has a lift hill and it's similar to like a bobsled and stuff....

nagashimaspaland17.jpg.608c86c12fbfd690b6adf880830a4d07.jpg

Bill gets all the attention on the Slope Car thingy.

nagashimaspaland16.jpg.238063e4bee7b4031ae5062a8c0c6722.jpg

After Nagashima we went over to the Nagoya Zoo for some extra special bonus credit whoring!

nagashimaspaland15.jpg.ae0a9e21d5e9e027188b8606e79e6d19.jpg

I can't tell if they mean hairy backs or tatoos!

nagashimaspaland14.jpg.5f43fb2506013f0b84a61c3fc2f27815.jpg

Oh, yeah...that and frozen Coke!

nagashimaspaland13.jpg.b63fd47e25b6224475f43889ff513548.jpg

Pork Cutlet Curry. This is what I LIVED off of in Japan!!!

nagashimaspaland12.jpg.924c1ac8cbaaa35d4335b99c7129e4cb.jpg

"Mmmmm....REAL noodley bits!!!"

nagashimaspaland11.jpg.d9f74951300ba4bdc04ef4cde25d19ec.jpg

You dirty, dirty whores!

nagashimaspaland10.jpg.9140f301bade7aa05f93c40f60ae8395.jpg

Noodely bits from a differnet angle! Ooohhh....Aaaahhhh!!!

nagashimaspaland09.jpg.99b96428eadf7e1ba5cae89142e5077a.jpg

"Hey wrebbit! Why aren't you here riding this??!?!"

nagashimaspaland08.jpg.3ebf3f38a6c0211d4ace0b2059bd382e.jpg

Yay! For the noodley bits!

nagashimaspaland07.jpg.7de7dd8f6e753ffda1ea7d9c6ab05292.jpg

And lots of noodley looking bits make up a giant helix or figure 8 or whatever you want to call it. "Noodley Bits" Yeah, that's the technical term for this! =)

nagashimaspaland05.jpg.f66cc1318469bfecde7dadad8c11e6de.jpg

And a long way back down.

nagashimaspaland04.jpg.56390d6640157c67c8b1257cf52e7831.jpg

It's a long way up.

nagashimaspaland03.jpg.5a660e793be346dbcaf0caea7d3168dc.jpg

Yay! Finally Steel Dragon 2000 re-opens after many years of being closed. There is much rejoicing from our group.

nagashimaspaland02.jpg.56f5b99be7c52151187ad6c75e24a58f.jpg

White Cyclone POV shot. Love it? Gooooood!

nagashimaspaland01.jpg.3d0dbe92ee95bd72db105eae9b27a821.jpg

First up during ERT was White Cyclone (and yes the ride ops DID give Joey a giant stuffed hamburger to take with him on the ride. Why? We have NO IDEA!!!!)

nagashima01_.jpg.a53ab15f0807d8c0341c0f51681ba799.jpg

Hey wrebbit! Look what I see! =)

nagashima05.jpg.daabc349016a372595ac5119e98abe85.jpg

Rich does his Nixon impression in the taxi on the way to the park.

nagashima04.jpg.28c553cd6d7323b47e13b07c4e0af9cb.jpg

We told them all this would be the last train ride they had to take. They were all very happy. But we lied!

nagashima03.jpg.b3ff59d5537bc1c0a59f2e95026c0283.jpg

We are still in Nagoya, home to random typhoons and naked men statues.

nagashima01.jpg.5f99b125fdc208e9c025b7b60aadae43.jpg

Thanks to Reed & Stacy, KidTums has a shirt to warn the local police to help keep scary stalkers away!
