robbalvey
One Question. You always are talking about the really big trip reports, when are they expected? Everybody - Please don't ask these questions, it is very irritating and disrespectful to Robb and Elissa. I don't mean to get on anyone's case but this question has already been asked dozens of times. They try their best to get everything posted ASAP, to appease everybody, but it is not easy. They did three trips back-to-back, have to take care of a baby, accept application/deposits for next year's trip, start working on DVDs of 2007 trips (because people will want to buy them for the Holidays) and Robb has to work on top of all that. And they also like to relax and enjoy life. The simple answer is they will post larger reports as soon as they can, but there is probably no set timetable. Don't worry, Larry, I banned the idiot for asking stupid questions. --Robb "One more TPR idiot eliminated!!!! Yay!!!!" Alvey From what I know Japan is such a different place from all other places that every minute is like being in a giant themepark. I hope you will have much fun and taste some different food and drinks. Have fun That is VERY true! We haven't done a single park and we are already having an AWESOME time! Been out to Shinjuku, made a quick trip to Disney this morning to pick up our tickets, had amazing curry lunch, and we even went bowling! Tonight we will finally get out to LaQua for some Thunder Dolphin action! (Well, not really "action" but we will ride a coaster....) --Robb

BelizeIt
Hey Robbs first photo looks like the opening scene from the movie 'Lost In Translation' Their title for this upcoming trip report should be 'The Alveys, Lost In Japan.' This promises to be another amazing Robb & Elissa Adventure!

TexTitan01
For those of you who remember our last two Japan updates there was this "women only" floor of a popular Shinjuku arcade where men could not enter unless you were escorted by a woman. Well, Lou was our "escort" for the evening -wink- -wink- and unfortunately they do not allow cameras on this floor so we could not bring you pictures of the wild sexy parties full of hot nude Japanese girls covered in hot oil & soy sauce and perfoming the most amazing and bizarre S&M bondage rituals any of us have ever seen!! So I guess you will just have to hire Lou as your escort, bring her to Japan and see for yourself! OH. MY. GOD... I have GOT to get on that floor! Pufferfish
Woohoo, Japan! Time for more obscure theme parks, overcrowded water parks, awesome arcades, and flavors of popcorn you could never imagine. I love Japan. Glad y'all got there safely. Have fun! Your Japan trips always have great trip reports, and it is amazing how crazy it is over there.

TheRapidsNerd
Popcorn. Check. 2 liter Dr. Pepper. Check. I'm a ready for the insanity! You know I'd have to pass on the women's only floor for obvious reasons. Besides, I can't even watch that stuff when my friends get paid to do it on film! Have I said too much? (Snicker) Terrance, I see you've hung out in the DC club scene too, eh? Good times, good times...

robbalvey
Had a great day at Yomiuriland. Expect the updates to start in the next couple of days, but if you ask about them Wes will gladly feed to you Bantron. I only have two words for our day at Yomiuriland.... "Splash Bandit!" Look it up! We are heading to the south of Japan tonight (Fukuoka) and won't be at the hotel until close to midnight. Then it's off to Space World tomorrow!!!! --Robb
rosscoe
Robb, Trying to read the Japanese website is a trip of it's own, WAI ( Water Amusement Island ). The half naked young lady sitting on the tap scare's me. Will have to wait for the trip report, since google does not want to play with me today! Have fun at Space World today. Groteslurf
After some searching found a pov of Bandit. Bandit looks indeed like an awesome coaster, beautifully spread over the park. I add the link to the pov in case others are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IynGv2hvWVk Edit : If I understood correct, there is also a train riding backwards. rosscoe
Thanks for the link. But i am not sure if that is it, cause i found this..... On monday Saori, Imanouelle and I slept over at Haruka's house and we all went to Yomiuriland yesterday!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, if some of you realize its my second time in about 2 weeks!! But they had the new splash bandit (People squirted water guns at you first and there were 2 other places where the Yomiuriland people sprayed at you with a hose) So not 100% sure if that is the same ride. Wood Dragon 1988
Yea, Bandit looks like one of the better Togos to me. It seems like the Togos over in Japan look a lot better than the POSs installed in the US. Have a great time whoring up the Intamin Rocket Coaster today though! I think it is. On the parkwebsite there is a pic of an op hosing water over the people riding the coaster. So they added the water feature to the coaster and now call it Splash Bandit. It is in any case very very weird, certainly if it also has a backward train on the track.
thomas2
^Yeah and it says 'Splash Bandit' under that picture so you're right. EDIT: you guys are lucky, because this event ends today (september 2th)
hamu86
Robb, not sure what your group's schedule is but my personal calendar has me at Fujikyu on September 4 and 5 and perhaps Nagashima a day later. I am also going skydiving the following Sunday. I guess that's not actually coastering, but I may work in a Nasu Highland trip that day as well. And watch out -- it's earthquake weather now.
