Angle O. Descent
I just thought that I would announce a ridership number that the park released today! As of the end of the 2016 season, Dragon Fire has the park's highest ridership at 40,737,787 riders! Dragon Fire (Formerly known as Dragon Fyre from 1981-1996) opened with the park on May 23rd, 1981. Congratulations Dragon Fire for providing safe rides throughout the past 35 years! Also Congratulations to the smoothest arrow coaster out there Vortex (CW) and Dragon Mountain (Marineland) would like a word with you, please. May I ask who is calling? One moment please... Loch Ness Monster is on line one sir.

ImNotOneOfYou
Did Gemini hurt y'all as a child why is it being forgotten. no it didn't hurt you because it's So smooth.
coasterbill
While not unbearable, I thought Dragon Fire was one of the rougher arrows I've ridden. It's not even the smoothest or best Arrow in it's own park. As Arrow loopers go, it doesn't even belong in the same conversation as rides like Tennessee Tornado and Loch Ness Monster. Hell there are a ton of arrow loopers I'd consider to be much smoother, including Dragon Mountain a little over an hour to the south.
MiABeta
Hey IMHO it's the smoothest Arrow looper I've ridden. The corkscrew at MIA and CP are both rougher. But that's because those are the only ones I wrode. And yeah I'm only talk about loopers, because their non-inverting rides are all over the place (Magnum vs vortex and iron dragon isn't really a fair comparison lol). Anyway one of the best texts I got from a friend this summer was "Arrow actually made a really smooth coaster!!!". They sent it after they rode Tennessee Tornado. JT325
^ Yaaaaaaay!!! Then remembers it's on the other side of the country. But at least far from that SLC and The Tooth Chipper (Volare)! Hard to believe they still have them.
Nrthwnd
^Hey, they're doing what they can, considering their competition is.... La Ronde. And any other park across the border, over there. So they're trying all sorts of coasters. Give them credit for at least working on staying current. Even if some of them, I too, would not even consider re-riding, i.e SLC and that ugh Volare. Vonni
So if an RMC were to come to the park in the future, would you rather see a ground up woodie, or an I-Box conversion of MCM?
nicman
^I think another intamin coaster or inverting B&M should be coming first before an rmc. But id rather have something creative done of the MCM for an ibox than a new ground up coaster.

I haven't been to the park in 12 years, I need to get back there soon but an Intamin would have me planning a trip right now!
coasterbill
^^You have no idea how fast I'd rip out Flight Deck and Time Warp for a B&M. They're taking up a huge amount of room right next to eachother and they could easily be relocated to parks that don't know any better as new additions (Possibly Valleyfair for Flight Deck and MA for Time Warp). grsupercity
^ Oh my, don't let the VF fans hear you say that lol! I brought that up on the VF page a year ago when all the Ziz rumors were out. I mentioned that Flightdeck would fit nicely and that it would clear room for a Invert/Wing coaster at CW. They went crazy for a couple pages. Married a Canadian
You have no idea how fast I'd rip out Flight Deck I think you must be too young and supple Coasterbill!! If you ride Flight Deck when you approach 40....you'll find it does wonders for your back! In fact it puts it and your neck into positions that no chiropractor ever could. I thought that behemoth or leviathan would easily beat out dragon fire in terms of raw ridership???
Canobie Coaster
That does shock me. When I visited in October, Dragon Fire was sending out empty trains while Leviathan and Behemoth both had full trains. Dragon Fire does have a shorter ride time so it probably did send more laps though. I just question how many were full if the park wasn't crowded. ejot
^/^^ You do realize that's ridership over the entire lifetime of the ride? Dragon Fire didn't give 40 million rides in one year. Since it's about thirty years older than Behemoth/Leviathan, I don't find it surprising at all.
