While not completely related to the operation of Canada's Wonderland, the park was used in a completely different way earlier this week to keep a tradition alive due to current COVID-19 restrictions i

Can confirm, CF doesn't care which park you go to first with your paper voucher for a Platinum Pass.  You'll get your photo taken and be issued a card that has whatever park you go to first on the bac

This image just appeared on the Cavallino Matto Facebook. Looks likes Skyrider has a nice new paintjob.

Does anyone have any news about Canada's Wonderland? It's been pretty quiet here.

The ROI on the last 2 beamers was so poor that there closing the park down and moving the remains to DL

So THATS where all this DL nonsense came from on that thread! It all makes sense now!

Question for any experts on this park. I've got the chance to squeeze in a day here this summer, but unfortunately as it will have to be worked into an existing trip, the only possible day for it is the 4th of July. Now, I would much prefer not to be at a park in the US on the 4th, but, seeing as how it's out of this country...does anyone know how much that weekend is going to affect the crowds? Is it close enough to the US border that it's going to be packed anyway? More so than usual, I mean...I know a Saturday at CW is less than idea to start with, and I'm quite sure Fastlane is going to be absolutely required to make it an enjoyable day...but, how much of a mess am I looking at getting myself into?

Even though Canada's Day is on the Wednesday that week you potentially could get a large crowd from that as well. It's typically a very busy time of year anyways around those dates regardless of holidays.

Three words for you: Fast Lane Plus. You are very right that it will be a requirement to fully enjoy the park if you only have one day there.

Any other questions, feel free to ask or PM me and I'll try and help you out.

Thanks a lot. It's definitely not the day I'd choose to go, but this year it's that or nothing, and I'm willing to put up with crowds for Behemoth, Leviathan, and Vortex. Fast Lane Plus is a certainty, though.

With Fast Lane Plus, you shouldn't run into many issues. If this year is anything like last year, get to Wonder Mountain's Guardian first since it won't be on Fast Lane and the queue will become real long real fast.

Also, if you're there around Canada Day, stick around for the fireworks if they have them when you're there. It's usually a good show.

I found this under Wonder Mountain's Guardian. CF trademarked this, so maybe this is their way of branding their dark rides?

I remember that being trademarked a while ago (don't remember a logo). At the time, someone mentioned it as being either a dark ride or for Haunt. Voyage to the Iron Reef was trademark as well. So, yes.

Don't know if this was mentioned yet, but the new name for Skyrider (according to Cavallino Matto's Facebook page) will be Freestyle.

I've never done a slingshot as I'm poor and upcharge attractions are rarely in the budget. Are they worthwhile?

When I visited during Leviathan's opening year, I thoroughly enjoyed Behemoth and Leviathan and thought they complimented each other well. I had a great time and felt the park typified Cedar Fair at its best. The supporting coaster cast could definitely use some help, though. Vortex is a great highlight and I didn't mind the Volare *that badly* and it's a unique experience, the wild mouse is solid/its laterals are fun...but beyond that, you're looking at lower-tier coasters. It breaks my heart that an SLC, and one that rides quite poorly, is a stand in for a B&M invert at this park. Even though another invert is almost certainly not in the cards, a launched wing rider would be the a solid addition to this park. With how promising Thunderbird looks, I hope that something like this appears (running 3 trains obvi). Outside of Cedar Fair's close coaster relationship with B&M, a Mack launch in the vein of Blue Fire would be an amazing, ideal addition but that's much less likely.

Dave Phillips (VP Marketing and Sales) tweeted out this picture of a steel part. Looks like Canada's Wonderland is adding a SlingShot for 2015.

YEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! THAT'S AWESOME NEWS!.

Seriously, this just made my day! Now I don't have to head all the way out to montreal to ride one of these things!

Does anyone know where in the park that is? I'm trying to figure it out but I'm stumped.
