WonderlandFan
I have the same feeling plus if it's just an element like a giant helix or pretzel loop they can work around the sprinkler system and HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT LOOK?? A element right there in that plot of land!
TorontoFCfan
^^^^ Or that sprinkler system of ours is a splash down or water special affect....

Not a lot of information that I can find, and the formatting of the website needs to be looked at. Cannot view in normal web browsers as it gets cut off on the sides. Just an FYI. I am sure it is a new site that you just made/had made, but I would have it somewhat functional before promoting it.   Thanks for the pics and updates though. Very few are coming through right now, but all signs point to something major going on. (NOT the removal of Minebuster though, as I would find it very hard to believe that they would remove 2 coasters in such a short time frame). canadianparkfan
I have a feeling the station isn't going in Skyrider's spot. If it were a wing coaster, that plot of land would be perfect for a pretzel loop or a turn around. Maybe they'll squeeze it in between Minebuster and Stunt Coaster or something... That'd be pretty cool. With the way the land clearing's going, it makes me think the coaster's layout could be essentially a huge lap around the perimeter of splash works. That'd also explain why the park put typhoon where it is, instead of placing it in an area of the water park that'd have more room for it, like by black hole. Â Or because there were already pipes in the ground from Wipeout? (I'm pretty sure someone said before that the pipes were never removed)

Whodey
I just wanted to give an update of my first visit to the park which occurred this morning. Most rides were a walk on. I did every coaster except Taxi jam in less than three hours. Some pleasant surprises were Vortex and employees. My home park is Kings Island. The Bat at Kings Island is for some reason not nearly as fun as Vortex. I don't know why but it felt faster and I really enjoyed going over the water. Secondly the employees were awesome. On both B&M coaster with seat belts they were doing a great job. Very rarely did they let them stack and on Leviathan they were counting down time to dispatch to avoid stacking. The staff on D-back in Cincy does not come even close to staff on Leviathan. Â One thing I wish I knew before going was how awful the head banging on Time Warp was going to be. I thought it was worse on my head than Flight Deck. I wish I knew that before riding. Â Â I really thought overall the park was very nice. Clean and friendly staff with a lot of good rides. I did not like traffic on the QEW going and coming from Buffalo to Toronto.

There is the option of the 407 toll highway, however it would cost about $20 one way to Wonderland!
Whodey
A funny thing happend driving over the border. I had a rental car from Syracuse and crossed into Canada at 8. The thing is the custom agent did not like my answers. He couldn't believe I was driving 4 hours alone to meet up with nobody to ride roller coasters. I ended up getting pulled in to the custom office and they searched my car and asked a bunch more questions. The agent I first met in the car was a tough guy but the guys inside were cool. On the way back the U.S. Customs Guy was a smart ass about going to a park by myself. Last time I crossed to ride coasters was going from Burlington enroute to Monteal. The Canada customs guy was cool as hell asking all kinds of questions like he was interested but the U.S. Guy was a smart ass just like today. I think it is awesome a 36 year old man who travels for a living uses down time to go to theme parks alone but obviously not everyone feels that way. buck funny
^Was he laughing that you went on a slc headbanger voluntarily? Â Despite a few relics of the paramount 'dark years' it is not a bad park to have as a home park. I really like vortexx too, more than the magic mountain one that hit the tree! It is a bit wild to come into the final brake run and see the whole structure shake back and forth when you stop.

On the way back the U.S. Customs Guy was a smart A$$ about going to a park by myself. Last time I crossed to ride coasters was going from Burlington enroute to Monteal. Â I don't think they look down on your actions, it is just unusual to do what you did. Nothing wrong with it and good on you for being honest, but it's suspicious sounding and I can't blame the alarms going off in their heads. It sounds like your running drugs, LOL. Once you got inside and explained everything to the agents, I can see them being ok. I constantly cross the border for coaster trips. I sometimes wonder if they keep a record of what I am doing. TorontoFCfan
More markers were put in. Now they are leading out to Timber Wolf Falls and White Water Canyon. Maybe that's the possible layout of a coaster? Cedit to Brendon Cross from the CWmania FB page with the info

CedarFair1
Splash Works & Construction Update  So SplashWorks looks ABSOLUTELY stunning, impressive job Wonderland and Cedar Fair, it's almost a 5 star Water Park!  Construction wise for 2016 there is a massive increase in area now, with major land clearing next to Minebuster near Skyrider, lots of new stakes near Timber Wolf Falls and stakes near the entrance to SplashWorks close to Skyriders plot of land. Also we have mysterious markings painted all over the Skyrider pathway!  Pretty much daily picture updates @ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cedar-Fair-Coaster-Watch/1476339882657621?ref=hl Typhoon NEW FOR 2015 Welcome sign Cabanas Not a fan of the entrance it's very CNE style.. looks like a future bar more Cabanas First, yay the fence is gone time to go ride Ziz, oh wait it's only 2015.. ohhh look weird markings... more weird markings... and more.. it's like crop circles but for sewers... the trees have them to, oh no it's a sign.. Intamin Aqua Trax... Ohhh now I understand! 4 AQUA TRAXs for Wonderland! I can hear the tree screaming "somebody create a call to action to save me like they did for Thunder Road" crane counter-weights still be like "GURL were always so early to parties" This container could use a diet, shhh nothing to see here I wonder if they do Manscapping as well (whats on ALL the flags in the construction zones I seee youuuuu! splash down effect? jokes jokes I think Cedar Fair is using the seagulls and Geese as a hint at Ziz lol They literally installed a sprinkler system to prevent dirt from flying around. i checked no grass seed or grass was planted.. This is what Dorney Park and ValleyFair and Kings Dominion Fans wish they were seeing near the red stakes Skyrider decomposed quick.. sorry Dorney Park and Valley Fair, maybe 2020? Six Flags be like we have an exclusive deal with RMC and Cedar Fair be like GURL shut yo mouth, jokes we all know this is for Ziz meanwhile behind Behemoths helix.... EVEN MORE LAND CLEARING... wait wait wait.... How do you like your stake? I like mine in the forest near Skyrider! more stakes more more! they are everywhere in that forest See Cedar Fair doesn't discriminate, they even allow the blue stakes to join in the fun! This shows all the things seen today Brought to by Leviathan, Ziz and Behemoth <
buck funny
Hey does anybody with a season pass want to meet up for the ERTs? They are sundays between 9am and 10 am. A different area is scheduled each week. It is Leviathan area tomorrow. I don't know if it is for regular season pass or just platinum? Since i got platinum and parking is included, i could go for a couple hours and then leave without feeling guilty. I only live half an hour away. Â Â I was going to go tomorrow and then may stick around until lines build up around 11:30 then go home for lunch. Â I will have a green hat, glasses and answer to Doug. Probably at the back of the train!
coasterjunkie1975
It's going to be rainy and very cool tomorrow so I would expect that you are going to have ERT on Leviathan for pretty much the entire day

1pizza14
The construction areas do seem large, especially the one behind Minebuster. However, they seem very spread out and it seems difficult to route a coaster from Skyriders plot to that large cleared area behind Mindbuster which makes me think that it may not start where Skyrider is.. who knows this could be a Maverick style coaster that travels the entire back area of the park.
canadianparkfan
After seeing the map of all the land clearing, totally confused as to what this could be. The idea of the maverick style coaster seems interesting though, even if it is unlikely. Â There was also this article posted on CWMania the other day, and some have said it could possibly hint at the new coaster having a splash down and a launch. Â Article: http://www.magazine.utoronto.ca/all-about-alumni/keeping-thrill-seekers-safe-joelle-javier-inspects-amusement-park-rides/?utm_source=DUAI&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=news_at_uoft&utm_content=May2015 Â Personally think it either hints to a water coaster for splash works (pro slide LIM version), or the above mentioned maverick/helix style coaster. Could also simply mean nothing as well.
Angle O. Descent
^ Cedar Fair has not installed any sort of launch coaster since.... Maverick! (2007). However, since 2007, Cedar Fair has installed SEVEN (7) B&M coasters. Based on history, it would be ambitious of us to expect something different any time soon Edited May 31, 2015 by Angle O.
