FeelTheFORCE
Is it just me or is part of the fun in building a model actually trying to create something that looks realistic on your own? You wouldn't be forced to look at the tutorials.
PURE
This may be stretch, but is there any way anyone living near the park that would be willing to pick one of these up for me maybe when they're already at the park, or if they work there? I'll send them payment in check or whatever, and I'll pay for shipping and throw another 10 in just for the inconvenience. I'm just not sure if MM or Knotts will be getting any of these (it doesn't appear so) and I would be thrilled to get my hands on one or two of those models. ^Yeah, but why can't some people just be motivated on their own to build the models? Its not THAT MUCH of a complicated process... Jah-"Wah! Walk me through every step!"-ames
FeelTheFORCE
^ Yeah, but if people like myself who have never seen a CD set in person got one, I would want to see a tutorial first, then build one on my own, so I can get the feel of things first. TheRapidsNerd
If anybody hasn't already, try a YouTube search to see some of the CD Scorpion and Dragon custom work and layouts. Neat stuff! In one of the gallerys on the CD website, there's Cedar Point Raptor reproduction. Yeah, I needed a cigarette...and I don't smoke!
Ibztone
Busch Gardens received their first shipment today. To order one call Arnie at 757-253-3451. If there is no answer, leave a message and he will get back to you. Eventually, they will have them to purchase online. Is this the only other way to purchase these currently outside of driving to BG? Thanks.

christianscoasters
I wish Dorney's were $20 rather than $32. I ain't buying them for that price.
FeelTheFORCE
^ Yeah, I agree. I hope Griffon and Alpengeist wont be that much. $32 for a little plastic toy (however detailed it may be) is a little steep.
Giovanolafan
^ Being a Plastic Modeler I Belive these Trains are Farley Priced Having Seen Models for 50 Dollars About the Size Of Your Hand I wont Be hesatant to buy these.
Jack Rimer
Let me get this straight... The models are $12 more than you thought and that will stop you from buying one? These are the only souvenirs like this in the world. When I was young I would have sold everything I owned for something like this. Seriously, are you just being melodramatic or are you truly put off by the price? I would email the park and tell them you think the price is outrageous. Axman
I'd pay $40 for 'em. $50 at the very most. First things first, I need to buy a track set!
TheRapidsNerd
We all agree that these models are really great and definately worth owning. In fairness, we all have budgets of some sort to work with and, in some cases, even a couple dollars difference can decide yes or no on a product. By choosing "no" regarding a higher price, no-one is slighting the product or saying it's inferior whatsoever, especially after special preview such as this. I'm on a tight budget, and when I want something, it becomes a trade-off. I can get this new dvd box for $60 or, that's park admission, and parking fees covered on my next trip. Hopefully this gently clarifies things.

The reason I made that statement was because I am a college student who barely has any money to begin with, I have to pay for gas, car insurance, tuition, etc. I'm not made of money. I just thought they would be a little cheaper, not $12 cheaper, but at least under $30.

I am trying to save up for a 300$ drum set right now, so that is why I won't be buying any time soon.
Jack Rimer
We had hoped that they would be priced from between $20-$25. We weren't aware that the parks marked up their merchandise as much as they do.
christianscoasters
^Thanks for clarifying. I would pay $20, $25 is pushing it, but I still would, but more than $30 is too much. I'll admit, as much as I want them, I can't get them. The only ones that I absolutely have to have are the Griffon and Alpie trains.

Jack Rimer
24471- what zip is that? Unfortunately, you won't be able to pick them up here. They are only available from the parks. I can show them to you if you visit the day they arrive, but can't sell them. Sorry.
tomcat3000
Duelling Dragons trains would be cool: http://www.parkfunworld.be/coasterdumois/2003/DD7.jpg They have a dragons mouth biting the front row and claws are holding the second row!
