CoasterEricHP
^^^ Two vertical spikes? I need that one explained unless you have some more of what your smoking. Edit : I editing out the word crack.
Adrenaline_Rush
Look at the photos, there is one vertical spike with all these supports under it and everything (top right), and in another photo, there is a completely different spike with just these poles for supports (top left.) Unless the top right one is some misplaced cell phone tower!
PAShawn
I believe it is the same spike just a different angle so it seems to be much less of a spike
Adrenaline_Rush
I dont think it is because if you look at the track its got this thicker feeling to it, and its closer together (unless it just perspective) than the other one.
Homer
I knew my "beta" video wasn't far off.
PAShawn
I am not familiar with no limits but does it put in items for a chain lift or anything? If it does I do not see a lift in the picture. The spike does not seem to have anything associated with it, or am I missing it?
Adrenaline_Rush
No, I found out (by closer inspection) that there indeed, is no lift on the vertical lift. Normally its very obvious if theres a lift in place, but it looks more of a launch straight up, HUGE AIRTIME, then back downhill again.
WabiSabi
I gotta say they look the same to me. So what's the deal with "Only those who know the secret"? Is it only those who received a puzzle piece? I tried to get them to send me one but they didn't.....the jackasses!! I even threatened to open my own theme park......with blackjack.............and hookers!! Didn't work. And why is Phase XI beginning and ending on the same day? Is that just the game part they spoke of? Maybe it's Pha Sex I begins and ends on 9/26......what kinda sex is that? Do I want to play this game? Will it hurt? I'm so confused! Think I'll go jump off the 25th floor of the Marriott.

Adrenaline_Rush
For the fact that was a completely random not capitalized correctly statement I wont trust you. In fact Im really not trusting any fact until the actual release of this ride. And if your right then I guess I can trust you.

coasterfreak101
That's the one thing that I do believe about Homer's fake beta - there's going to be a vertical lift hill. But I highly doubt that it's going to be an actual chain, I think the coaster's going to use the same type of LSM "lift" to get to the top as Maverick does. Adrenaline_Rush
I dont think Linear Induction Motors could propel a train up a vertical lift, and could you imagine a rollback on that thing, that would be crazy insane, and there would need to be some LIMs at the bottom of the hill then. But I expect a crazy kick butt launch like Wicked has, to propel it up the lift. If it is a lift, I would expect a cable lift like MF has. I just think a vertical lift is impractical, and if there isnt correct seating, painful.
Wes
I can't wait for the park to actually announce the ride, so this damn thread can be locked. As a note, I know some of you are only posting here because of this game, but TPR rules still apply...so proper spelling, capitalization, and punctuation are a MUST!! hersheyparkfan3
My website, www.freewebs,com/hpfansite3/ will anounce the new ride asap tommorow. (I e-mailed nantimi a while back) Anyway, a vertical lift hill with linear indiuction motors is perfectly viable, and I can't see how it would be painful. And wicked has an intense launch? It looks great but the launch doesn't look spectacular.

I just think a vertical lift is impractical, and if there isnt correct seating, painful. It will definitely NOT be LIM's, but it could very well be LSM's. They would act as brakes in the case of a rollback, just like on Maverick. And there's no reason LSM's couldn't propel a train up vertically. hersheyparkfan3
I meant LSMs, not LSMs, sorry. I agree completely, it would be redundant and cool. especially if you accelerated up hill. You could get some pretty sweet air on that top hat! Also, the launched lift hill would make it possible to travel through the inversions without needing to build tall, since HP has the height restriction. Adrenaline_Rush
Wow, LSMs not LSMs haha. Anyways, yes I see your point there, and when I say painful I mean; If the seat doesnt have back support half your body would be hanging out of the seat, like on MF. Oh and how does an evacuation work on a 90 degree lift, like what do they do? Video maybe?..

Oh and how does an evacuation work on a 90 degree lift, like what do they do? Video maybe?.. I'm pretty sure if the riders are going to be lying on their backs at some point during the ride, they will build the seats accordingly. Do you really think that they'd LET out bodies dangle like that? "Well, I know their backs are going to be parallel to the ground for an extended period of time, but they can worry about their own neck support. I don't see how their heads are our responsibility."
