^ There were actually ALOT of restaurants around. There were about 8 of us who walked all the way down to an Arby's even.

Will, great trip reports! I love that so many people from the trip have done reports. It's great seeing how other groups/people spent their time at the parks. My group for example totally missed out on the fascination. I still have no idea where it was in the park!

^Ouch, man, total missout.

We had southaprk on the bus too, actually

The McD's and White Castle were right across the street from each other but it took me like 15 minutes to get from one to the other because the road had absolutely no traffic lights and very busy traffic.

I tried White Castle for the first time, didn't really like it. Got me some stuff at the K mart and 7 11 and went back.

I gotta say, I was amazed iwth Robb's crowd control skills on the trip. If there was a busy conversation and he asked for everyone's attention, within 5 seconds all you could hear was crickets. When he asked us to form a line we were a big mess of people, 15 seocnds later we're standing in two neat rows.

Or maybe I'm just not used to all that seeing as I just graduated from high school, where stuff like that never happens

Hey Will, nice report so far. Just to let you know, I edited out the one picture of my hospital wristband because it contained my personal information. No big deal, I just didn't want everyone to be able to see my address and such.

Nice report, can't wait for the Dells pics!

As for the first row of the last car, there's nothing holding you in!

There's only a buzz-bar holding you in on Cyclops

A lot of the rides at Olympus had extra air-gates in the station for non-existent cars

Although they were denying adults on Little Titan, this rule was not enforced at all.

The back seat is definitely the place to ride

IMG_4783.JPG.a126bbf1f6bde958c65e6e0a20980455.JPG

Dive to Atlantis is a "water coaster", but is more a lightly themed log flume. If they put some decent theming on it, it might be a decent ride

Cyclops' last drop is the largest, and insane in the back

IMG_4773.JPG.f949140cf458e2ea82371c390a69e796.JPG

The park is divided up into four sections, an "indoor theme park", an "indoor water park", outdoor theme park, and outdoor water park. The large building on the left contained the "indoor theme park" section

Some day I might finish this. Hopefully it won't die like my UK PTR did

Coming up: Riverview and Timber Falls

IMG_5099.JPG.39b84f47e12b382d12ecd76e267b19dc.JPG

We go in and the ride started. After doing half a rotation, they stopped the ride. Add another one to the list of rides we broke!

Another angle of Pegasus. The station seems to be arranged for 3-bench cars, rather than the 2-bench cars that run on the ride

More "theming" for the Go-Kart track. The track even has a giant wooden horse

Riverview is one of those "rides in a parking lot" type parks with a few portable rides such as this.

IMG_5111.JPG.ac7002936e2480b48fe599d3da243a5e.JPG

The initial plan was for the Arrow bus to go to Riverview and the Vekoma bus to go to Timber Falls. Since Timber Falls did not have Avalanche running quite yet, the Vekoma bus ended up coming to Riverview as well.

Looking forward to the rest of the trip when you get a chance.

Unfortunately I don't have much motivation to get this finished. It takes time to post the hundreds of pictures from each park, only for the topic to get buried again. My UK TR had the same problem, but since I didn't have as many pictures, I finished it off.

I have posted a lot of the pictures on Picassa. (http://picasaweb.google.com/william.mccombie) and some of them Facebook, but would like to know if I should post all of them here too. Keep in mind that I also have some high resolution panoramic shots (and maybe some coaster porn) to post.

I have

121 shots from SFGAm

298 from CP

253 from Kennywood

Should I:

Continue as the TR was originally going, posting everything here on TPR? I understand that it was graphic intensive, and some people still use modems.

Post everything, but only a handful at a time, allowing people to respond and spacing out the images a bit?

Post 50 or so pictures from each park?

Post only the best shots from each park?

If I don't get any response, I will simply finish it here and post links to my Picassa galleries

BTW: Dave- I did get my camera back, though I broke it a few days ago by dropping it in sand.

I'd recommend posting the best pictures from each park (as long as I'm in them .) Actually, just post what you feel like posting. I don't know about anyone else, but seeing pictures of last summers trip can take the "off season blues" away for me! Even though I'm only like 4 hours from Orlando, I can't get to parks that often during the winter.

Thanks again for what you have already posted!

David
