simlesa
Hey, Hanno! Â I checked your photo gallery. Wow, there are so many pictures there! I'm looking for all the ones where I can see myself. I found about 20 already, but I think it will take me few weeks to go through everything. Great job! Â You have my vote for becoming the official TPR trip photographer. Hhappy
After a long drive we arrived at Cedar Point to only discover that there was a power outage. Â After some flashlight fun it was time to get in the room.... Â I decided to take my tripot and take some pictures from the window. After a while the power came back and the lights went on again. Â I've also added pics of day 8 which was bit short (picture wise) Â After being lucky to keep my camera dry in the morning i decided to not take it with me for the remainder of the day (shame on me) Â So this is a very short update of the night before and the morning of Day 8 Â Cedar Point Last one before the gates from above opened and the rain came.. .. trouble... Here comes.... Casey fun waiting in line for Maverick sorry, the order got mixed up (stupid me) but this was test for my camera lens... when the lights came back on.. i tried to take a picture from hand to show the difference.. Another 30 second picture.. but at a different angle from the room window 30 second shutter time 10 second shutter time..
coastercrazed49
Nice Trip Report. The pictures looked really good quality. That line for Maverick looked insane, I would not have the patience to stand there.
Ryan King
Nice Trip Report. The pictures looked really good quality. That line for Maverick looked insane, I would not have the patience to stand there. Â You Know, Its really wasn't THAT insane. The lines you saw were for early hotel guest ERT. The park hadn't even opened the line yet due to possible rain. So the line you see looks long because it has yet to enter the Queue
prabe
That line for Maverick does look pretty insane, but you need to remember that was before they opened the queue. I was in about the same place line-wise the next day when they opened the queue, and my wait was less than 40 minutes--including the time standing in the line before the queue was open. The line for Maverick moves, and I wish I'd made the time to ride it more than once. Â Patrick

thecoasterkid
Hanno, I absolutely LOVE your pictures! I've got a Nikon D50 with very similar lenses (18-55 and a 70-300) that I had on the trip with me too, but you know how to really make the camera work. I love capturing close ups of people on the rides as well, the pure natural reactions of people really come through then! Â My favourite thing about your trip report is that you have pictures of absolutely everyone on the trip! Everyone else's (mine included) focus alot more on who they hung out. Â I can't wait to see the rest of your stuff! Thanks for posting them!
Hhappy
Day 9 of the trip.. Our second day at Cedar Point. Â After a nice credit run (once the rain stopped the day before) i spent most of this day taking pictures of... a lot of things. Â This is going to be a "big"update (105) pictures but please keep in mind it's just a selection. Â This update will include the most "bizarre" picture i've ever taken... Â Enough said.. picture time... worth the walk almost.. another Maverick angle time for a long walk (thanks for the idea Erik) fun for all ages (respect) hold on surprise? best spot to be.. mamma do i really want to be here?? it is a shame i did not see anybody from the group on a train while standing there for pictures more launch fun cooling.. Back to the normal pictures.. here's a crop.. the most "bizarre" picture i've taken so far on any trip.. (left hand..) Finally a picture of the front row while spinning down.. but hey.. what do i see?? yes.. more trains.. ehmm mine creek (whatever) ride.. i see people on the other side there was Maverick (again) there is the boat aha now why are these kids so excited? wrong lens but you get the idea "old school" more random people another coasters the place to be while it rains? owh.. wicked twister launch not for me.. fun for all ages ....people random... i liked the inside of the letters.. from this angle it's almost a reflection.. green fun.. but hey.. what the heck trying to be creative.. random people.. Different angle cooldown looks like they were having fun... there is more to see in the park.. Fear or joy? ehmm Random people being launched and there's the train i guess oil cooling launch look dad ( ? ).. this is how it works stupid pole after sunset these lights were a nice addition.. random people coming down First train with guests on top.. the "7 in a sixpack" picture almost straight up.. another test run and i found a nice picture spot... speaks for itself waterfun Test run.. ehmm nature Have i seen these 2 before? ... back row Mean streak... waiting area brake time front row some screamers i loved it Just look at the back wheels.. Hairtime more random.. i did not see most of the trip members for the entire day random people silly green stuff more random people here we come stupid fence another train preparing for halloween? it wasn't me after the canyon speed skyhawk was started.. close enough most of us have a similar picture (i assume) it was still early so there were some people still cleaning.. it's time for Maverick.. First drop fun.. especially how different people handle it differently.. more familiar faces.. anybody interested in "the monster" ?? e-mail.... Hitting the brakes strange way of riding a rollercoaster.. Fly by still no train Familiar faces in the back respect Random people First up.. millenium Force

slither37
Awesome pics! One thing that I love to do at CP is stand next to TTD during the launch to see the faces. You captured the moment perfectly. I wonder if the the "left hand grab" girl does that on every coaster????

disneygurlz2s
OK... so, let's vote... which picture would more TPR members like to use for their avatar? Â "Casey is taller than TTD"? Senior "Single Rider"? or the breast squeezing girl????? Â Three of the best pictures I have ever seen on here or anywhere else. Loved them!!! Â (My vote, btw, would be for the old guy. Sorry Casey!) SteveC
Hanno - you do seem able to capture some excellent shots which feature the boiling cauldron otherwise known as the Sun. I know you say some shots are just 'plain lucky' which is fair enough but I wondered if you also used a lens filter sometimes?

spaceace12
I would atleast get a uv filter. But you do have great photos. I have just a UV Filter for my regular lens. and a 8x star, flouscent, and circular polarizing for my larger lens.
