Best Waffle House in Orlando

Dear TPR Forum Members:

 

I was browsing the Orlando Trip Report from last year (Yum, Ohana looks like it was delicious - I'm heading there in October).

 

On one of the pages, there was a photo of the Waffle House. I went to one in 2006, and it was awful (I felt like I put myself in danger, and I walk around Downtown Chicago at night - so I'm not a wimp.)

 

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations about the best waffle house in Orlando - specifically around Walt Disney World.

 

Any help would be great.

 

BTW - I love the videos, thanks for making this site.

I've honestly never been to a Waffle House that was better or worse than any other Waffle House. But there is one on 535 just down from Crossroads that I have eaten in a couple of times that was good. From WDW, you'd go to Downtown Disney, then take Hotel Plaza Blvd until it ends at Crossroads (you'll see a McDonalds). Then turn right and it is maybe a block up on the left.

^I would also recommend the Waffle House at the Crossroads at Lake Buena Vista. In fact, thats the only Waffle House nearby that I can think of.

Do I just take for granted all the Waffle Houses around me? I only go there when I'm drunk and it's 3am in the morning.

And to add to the Waffle House experience, go during the late night/early morning hours (from 10 PM to 6 AM) to meet some very colorful people that would make Larry the Cable Guy look like Shakespeare.

 

But mainly, enjoy the waffles, some of the best darn waffles ever made.

 

[EDIT - No offense to anybody (the poster above), but some people you overhear there make a nice, funny memory.]
