dr.gumbo
New Pleasureland opened on 21st July 2007, on the Pleasureland Southport site. It is fair to say that the Blackpool Pleasure Beach company left the site in a severely damaged & dangerous state making it as difficult as possible for anyone else to run the site. Despite this, Norman Wallis has taken over the site, under the Dreamstone International group, and in just a few weeks has put together a great selection of rides (see list below), opened some of the shops, & is currently refurbishing the Casablanca bar & restaurant. Even the toilets need refitting as everything has either been removed or damaged (all the sinks were smashed & taps removed!) More rides in the car park ready to pull on, another major ride is expected to arrive during the parks' 1st week. A looping roller coaster is also expected to arrive soon From 'UK RIDES' There is also a list of rides on site at the moment on 'wikipedia' en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Pleasureland This is fantastic news, it'll never match the original pleasureland's reputation but its a good replacement. EDIT: Theres also some pictures on UK RIDES website

spaceace12
looks like a fair set up temp if it doesn't work. Atleast land is being used for something, unlike astroworld.
