odie Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Alpine Wilderness is a new RCT3 park that is located in Whistler, BC (British Columbia in Canada). But lets just get straight to the point, the updates! Also... * Updates might be slow because I am getting very busy with sports, vacations, and summer camps. * There will be more trees added as I work more on the park. * Let me know what you think! LOVE SFKK Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Uh--oh lookd like ridge point seattle bay will have some Competition!
asr Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Looks cool, but you should change the blue. It doesn't fit with the alpine theme you are going for.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 ^I agree, you should go for a lighter blue, white, or grayish color IMHO.
odie Posted July 20, 2007 Author Posted July 20, 2007 Uh--oh looks like ridge point Seattle bay will have some Competition! No, that's not what I was going for ha ha. I was trying to come up with a place in were the park should be located and it reminded me of my vacation to Whistler this winter, so that's why I made it be there. Anyways that's like a 6-8 hour drive away. So I decided to test to see which color you guys like the best so please pick one out of these four, or if you have any other ideas, let me know! Shot0028.bmp Green roof with grey walls. Shot0029.bmp Vekoma's idea. Faded blue with grey walls Shot0027.bmp Light blue with a little bit darker walls. Shot0026.bmp Red with dark walls.
Coasterlvr_nc Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I like the dark green color the most personally, to me it kinda gives me the feel of an alpine village.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Personally, I think you should use a combination of 1, 2 & 3 throughout the park. Though if you want to only use one, I'll stand by my suggestion.
brandon Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Looks really good! What set did you use for the path covers
Kingda Ka 456 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I do wonder how you guys can build the custom rides so neat in RCT3. I had a go at making the scenery stuffs better, but it totally went wrong and I had decided to scrap them.
Corkscrewy Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 i like the faded blue and grey walls. just throwin that out ther.
odie Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 Personally, I think you should use a combination of 1, 2 & 3 throughout the park. Though if you want to only use one, I'll stand by my suggestion. So I think I'm going to take you idea except it will be colors 1,3, and 4. But, while I'm working on this here is another update! Update 2: Grand opening! EDIT: Sorry Brandon I forgot to answer you question! Kingbooba Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I see a ferris wheel. Great park, Blue Rider looks crazy!
CCJared Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I Like what you have done with the park overall do fars, but i would Suggest adding Fences to the Foot paths on all areas rather than just the queue, and Adding a Wider Variety of Trees. I also think that you should edit areas of the terrain, rather than just making the whold park flat, you should add some hills, and maybe some water. Other than that good work.
Airtime&Gravity Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Very nice so far, but there should be more trees added between the rides since the park right now seems empty. I know more rides will be added later, but in areas whee a ride would be unable to fit could use some more plant life. As said above, place fences, benches, and lamps along since they make the guests happy as well as giving the park a more realistic look.

Thank you for the comment. I think I will definitely add fences to the rest of the park but for right now it hasn't happened yet, but, it will probably be in a .5 update when I do update it. As for trees, I have already added 2 new types that are different colors but, have not updated the pictures of them yet. I also think that you are right about the flat land and will try to add more terrain! Thanks again! More trees have been added to the park but the pictures are not updated yet. I want to be ahead of my updates a little just in case I can not work on the park for a couple days. As for fences, benches, and lamps, more will be added soon! Thank you for the helpful comment. As I am working on all this, here is another update. It's a big one! Update 3 : Kids Zone! brandon Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 wow, looks cool! The only thing I don't like is all the flowers are the same colors, try using different flowers like roses or change the colors, other than that it looks really good.

coasterJunkie94 Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 ^ Kind Of Overdid the Flowers Put some Ponds or Trees in there in stead
odie Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 Yeah, you guys are right, I did over do the flowers, ha ha. Well, I think I fixed it. I also added fences, benches, lights, and trees! Update 3.5 : The small things. Also, thanks for your help everyone. I also think the park looks much better! Shot0060.bmp Shot0059.bmp Shot0057.bmp A new overview. CCJared Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Ok, now i see that the park is looking alot better, i thought i would help you out again. You have too many Flowers. The flowers add what looks like too much white to the park, and because of the path covers, it make the park look under coloured, you need to remove alot of the flowers and add shrubs and Plants rather than just filling it with flowers. You also might want to look at your park in the Nightime mode, and see if you have enough Lamps to cover all the paths in the Park. I would also recommend adding such Items as Fountains and Other Such Scenery to add to the Impact the park has on the Viewer.
