-Kingda Ka fell way down, TTD is this ride done right the 1st time)

The 3rd hill on SROS @ SFA is easily one of the best moments of airtime I've experienced personally. That alone makes it a worthwhile ride for me.

 

Really? I've only got a couple of laps on that one (many more on SFDL) and they just seemed rather weak to me. I got off thinking "Wow, this sucks compared to (my) SFNE SROS.

 

I can't compare it to SFNE's as I've yet to get on it ( ) but in the front of the train the third hill you can easily count close to a good second of being thrown into the restraint there. In the back the airtime on that hill isn't quite as impressive, though.

Actually, my only rides on Steel Eel ever were on a wet and misty morning in early Spring, wet enough to buy ponchos when we got to the park. I don't know if the rain helps grease things up or what, but I was in airtime heaven on that thing. I guess I've got to get back there to try the night rides.

Yup we did! My favorite rides on Diamondback are in the morning in the front, when employees ride...especially riding by yourself. The trim doesn't have to do anything so that hill produces FANTASTIC floater air!

 

Steel Eel's midcourse just killed the rest of the ride for me...coming to nearly a crawling stop...blah.
