KrakenKing
So, last week my friend Peter and I went off to do a coaster trip along the East coast. We already had a Platinum Pass for the Busch parks, so we decided to hit up BGE, in that process we added two more parks: Six Flags over Georgia and Six Flags Great Adventure. First up on our list was SFGAdv. SFGAdv was a huge surprise on our trip, I knew it had El Toro and Kingda Ka (Which was the main reason for going), but I never knew how much Six Flags had changed from the descriptions I have read of the park. People walking around with their shirts off were asked to put them back on, the designated smoking areas were enforced, the park had no litter, it was an overall pleasant experience. We also met a fellow TPR member, who is also going to be coming on the Midwest Trip as well! As for the coasters, well, I had my Intamin Cherry popped, and I'm glad I finally had! I'll just go through the list of coasters. El Toro - First ride of the trip, and best one of them all. This ride SERIOUSLY lives up to it's hype! The airtime left my thighs hurting for 3 days afterwards, the speed on it was outstanding, and the ending turns were great! Intamin has a winner on it's hands. By far my favorite wooden coaster. Kinda Ka - I was very nervous to ride this coaster. I have a thing with getting propelled at a high speed, let alone getting shot into the air 456ft above the ground. Did I happen to mention that I'm scared of heights? This ride was great as well though. The launch was intense, so intense in fact that air went under my eyelids and pulled them back, my onrides look frightening. Medusa - Meh at best. Sure, it's the first floorless coaster in the world... but can we say trimmed? The ride seemed to crawl through the course and was very lackluster in the elements. I guess I'm just blessed with Kraken. Run Away Mine Train - I'll leave this one for you ArrowFanMan *Cough*It was crap*Cough* Great American Scream Machine - Or, GASM (LoL!) as I like to call it. This coaster really surprised me! Sure it was overly trimmed, but wow! This coaster, for it's age, is great! I took a few rerides on it as well. You just have to know how to brace yourself during Arrow rides Robin: The Chiller - After Kingda Ka's launch, this one was nothing. It was fun going through the Cobraroll with only a lap bar though. I wish I had gotten to ride it with the Zero-G rolls though Oh well. Also though, Batman: The Chiller wasn't running. It was even missing to LIMs. Batman: The Ride - SFoG's is better! Nitro - My 2nd favorite (Out of 3) B&M Hyper coasters. The hammerhead stall was a really fun element, and I liked how at night the has no lights except on the lift and in the station. Only downside to this ride were the trims and bugs Wylie Coyote Coaster - OUCH! MY SPLEEEEEN! Guess that's what I get for being such a credit whore. Skull Mountain - Was fun in the back row with the random airtime coming off the first drop. The rest of the ride was fun too, very dark and disorienting. Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train - LOUD! This coaster is almost louder than The Chiller! The banking on this coaster sucks as well. It was cool that they sent the train around twice though. Superman: Ultimate Flight - The credit that I almost missed out on. Our last day at the park and it was raining. The ride shut down due to technical difficulties. We didn't know if it was going to open back up. About an hour and a half before we left the ride opened again. Thank god for Flash Pass so we didn't have to wait an hour. The ride was great without trims, more intense than SFoG's. Rolling Thunder Left/Right - I'm doing these two together just because they both suck horribly, and should not be next to El Toro because of their suckiness. Please, for the love of god SFGAdv, tear them down or retrack! OMG! Death on wheels! Now, for the photos... Thanks for reading the Photo Trip Report, this is Mike... aka KrakenKing, reminding you to "Have a Wiggly day!" It got late, and we decided to do one more ride on Nitro before leaving... but we were so tired, we fell asleep on the ride. Me - "Nitro is scary!" Peter - "Look at this idiot" El Toro was so fun, we died! Me - "Ahhh! I love El Toro so much!" Jay - "WTF Mike?" Me - "Am I about to die?" Peter - "That worker is damn fine!" Log Flume photo! The log flume was gross. The log seriously smelled like someone peed in it. I wouldn't be surprised. El Sexo. Er... El Toro from the Skyride. Crap. "OMFG! My spleen!" Jay and I have reached a new low... SFoG's is better... yeah. Back in the park, we wait for Robin: The Chiller to launch. I dunno what's up with my face. When leaving the Safari, you can get a great shot of Kingda Ka, sorta like this. Derek... I'm sorry More Medusa... and a crane, to tear Medusa down? OMG call Screamscape! Animal pr0n is about to happen... So, this giraffe got friendly and came right into our open sunroof. Hi giraffe! "I'm scary elephant! I'm gonna eat you park ranger! Arrrgh!" "Who goes 12mph, ever, I mean... really..." We also decided to do the safari, which turned out to be really cool! I think the animal got hungry though and ate the sign... Intamin sex!... and an Arrow that wishes it could be as cool. Medusa goes whoosh. Hi Medusa! Yeah, I'm up there... And my expression says it all... "Jay! What'd I get myself into!?" Yeah, I'm actually REALLY nervous in this photo. "*Eep!* Uh... 'kay?" Notice how Peter looks calm, because he is. Notice how I'm calm, it's all fake. "I am Kingda Ka! I'm big and scary! Ride me!" "Oh Schnikies!" *Craps pants* Bye Bye El Toro, I'll be back in a little while... after... So, how was El Toro? "OMFG Incredible!" Popping my Intamin cherry! So, this is who we met up with. ElToroExtreme. Riding, you guessed it, El Toro. First train of the day! (Train B, which later broke) Mmm, hello sexy roller coasters!

FLIPDUDE
I don't know why but I feel obligated to link everyone that had an onride photo like the one you posted to this handy dandy comic I made, Either way, great TR! At first when I saw the top of the loop all laying on the ground I went "WTF?! They're taking down Great American Scream Machine or something?!" But then I realised it's jsut the world's coolest monkey bar. I didn't even realize they have a safari there.

FLIPDUDE
^Heheh, really? What were you gonna write? Also, I must say, I extremely selfishly dont want them to take out rolling thunder untill the nxt time I'm ther,e becuase they're a missed credit for me. Isn't it sad that I rode both Blackbeard's lost treasure train andwylie coyote coaster, but didn't ride rolling thunder because I "didn't want to be a credit whore"? As for Robin, for some reason it always operates solo. I think that one time ages ago I saw a video of it operating with batman as well, and I was "WTF"ish. I agree with all of your reviews except for the runaway mine train. I found it to be quite fun. Especailly that last hill. Never expected it to actually deliver airtime like it did. CycloneMan
That's from GASM. In the early 90's all three of GASM's loops got bracing on the loop and supports. Thus getting new track. Voila, you have pieces in the Safari! -Dainan "Now...ask me about Chiller " Rafferty

Voila, you have pieces in the Safari! -Dainan "Now...ask me about Chiller " Rafferty Question? Where did that track come from? Replacement track from GASM? I thought this came from Lightning Loops. Anyone know for sure? Yes! Lightnin' Loops was relocated. The Lower Level was sent to Frontier City and still operates as Diamond Back. The Top Level was sent to Six Flags America where it operated as Python until 1998. -Dainan "Yup" Rafferty
