MrSum1_55
A B&M dive machine with a beyond vertical drop. Imagine how cool that would be!
sirspanky53
Ok that sounds awesome 200 ft tall drop 220 into a tunnel beyond vertical. I have always wanted to ride one of those dive machines
SkyBreak95
What if B&M designed a chassis that could support a Stand-Up, Floorless, Sit-Down and A Wing Rider. Now add those trains on a twisty/loopy layout, and you have a great innovative coaster. And set 3X more records. OR..... A Winged Flyer Coaster. A Wing coaster, but with your body facing down(in a flying position, like on a flying coaster) now THATS a flying coaster. AND.... Designer Floorless chassis for stand-up coasters. Making it easier for Stand-Ups to become more modern without having to build a new coaster. An amateur attempt at a reinvention of the stand-up. ALSO.... Add magnetic-trims at the top of S:TEFK @SF:MM. It would be an awesome experience, nearly stopping 400' feet in the air with an extended view before dropping straight back down. Like what's seen here of Skyrocket. Pay attention to the first drop and how it drops slow(due to an intentional trim)

An amateur attempt at a reinvention of the stand-up. Wouldn't that be a bit painful to men? In any case, Universal's adding an Intamin Giga Coaster after Potter 2. It'll be called Harry Potter and the Intamin Giga Coaster. There will be an attached Harry Potter gift shop, of course, and the on-ride photos will have Daniel Radcliffe photoshopped into the row as though he is sitting next to you (they will cost $76.95 with 2-park ticket or $126.95 without). XYZ
A Winged Flyer Coaster. A Wing coaster, but with your body facing down(in a flying position, like on a flying coaster) now THATS a flying coaster. I always thought about this, but it makes no sense on a flying coaster. On a flying coaster, you don't see the track and the winged design will have little effect on the coaster. Manic Monte
Only a rumor, but I heard that SFMM will take the tallest inversion record in 2013, and that it will be as tall as Goliath?
theonetheonlyJT
^ Inverted kingda ka like tower is my guest, that type of inversion coaster has been a rumor for awhile now. I don't know if they have built a coaster like that yet.
JJLehto
There's all kinds of rumors flying around. I've heard its gunna be some epic terrain coaster that rivals Maverick and will be the longest coaster on Earth. There's also the record breaking inversion, and having multiples launches. If so 2013 will finally have to be the year I go to Cali! Well ok Im going anyway haha

UrbanLegend
^The official name for it is an Inside Top Hat. Personally, the idea of a 200+ top hat seems a bit far-fetched. The support structure for it (especially if it's built by Premier) would be enormous - perhaps prohibitively so.
brock_boehm
^ Yes, I don't know how I forgot those two rides. Well if its true I would assume you would be right. Although, the loops on those rides are not too close to the height of Goliath. Haven't heard this rumor before though. By the way, I just read the rumor on Screamscape about the "Full Throttle" everyone's talking about, claiming it will be a 500 mph roller coaster. I seriously don't believe that. A coaster hasn't even passed the 200 mph mark yet, and there's talks for a 500 mph coaster being built? That sounds really unlikely. 2013 - Full Throttle - (4/24/12) Several SFMM locals have reported over at CoasterFusion about receiving an e-mail survey to get their opinion on the name “Full Throttle” for a future park attraction. One very very interesting question in the survey seems to give away a possible major spoiler for the ride experience. “Lets’s say that at some point in themiddle of the full throttle themed ride there is some kind of tunnel. During this ride you’d shoot into the tunnel at 500 miles per hour, stop short, wait a few moments and then fly out of the tunnel backwards the way you came in. What kind of experience would you want to have in the tunnel? Keep in mind that the ride is only going to be in the tunnel for several seconds before they shoot back out backwards. What should they experience?” Wow… while the 500mph bit is complete over-hype… the basic concept here sounds very interesting experience may be planned for the former monorail tunnel inside the mountain itself. What kind of manufacturer makes coasters that go that fast? It would have to be a new prototype, wouldn't it?
Tmcdllr
So a launched shuttle coaster then.
brock_boehm
I think its the most ridiculous rumor I've ever heard, and actually kinda funny. I would think a roller coaster that went that fast would kill you unless you were enclosed in something (like an enclosed vehicle). And I would think they would have to. If Formula Rossa (which travels at 149 mph) requires riders to wear safety goggles, I would imagine on this breed of coaster the riders would sit in completely enclosed vehicles. That would be interesting. Edited July 20, 2012 by brock_boehm
theonetheonlyJT
What if someday they build a coaster train that is enclosed like one of those speed trains in Asia that launches around 200mph. about it being 500mph yeah right. ^ You beat me to saying it. australianalex
I think being in an enclosed car would completely take away from the experience and greatly lessen the sense of speed. For example, being in an open coaster car at 60mph is a hell of a lot more exciting than being in a road car at 60mph.
RAWKIN_coaster38
I think its the most ridiculous rumor I've ever heard, and actually kinda funny. I think Six Flags was purposefully exaggerating the question so they wouldn't give away any actual details. The point was to get opinions about the tunnel experience on a very fast coaster. The GP don't really know the difference between 80 MPH and 500 anyway.
Manic Monte
^ That's the impression I got as well. It was a "let's just say what if" type of thing rather than being literal.
