mcjaco
I'd never been to Indiana Beach, and Cameron gave it rave reviews. What better way then to have the man himself, show me around? As a kid I'd watched the silly Indiana Beach crow sqwak at me, during commercial breaks of GI Joe and Transformers cartoons, telling me "There's more than corn in Indiana." 20 years later, I discovered he was right! Indiana Beach packs a lot of stuff into a small boardwalk, five coasters, a ton of flats, and some great home grown dark rides. The highlight was Cornball Express. This little woodie was running great, and with the light crowds all day, we rode the heck out it. Great pops of airtime, and the first drop is insane. Hoosier Hurricane was just meh. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it never really thrilled. Tigerrrrrr, or however they spell it was a nice little schwartzkopf, with an great little first drop, and with no restraints made you grab on for dear life. I didn't take a ton of pics, as I tend to take in a park more on my first visit. Here's what I gots: The crew. Thanks for a great day! Only one thing to say. This is Red Dawn Awesome! Nuff said. I had no idea Easter Island was located in Monticello, IN. I have no idea.... Site of Mel's attempt at saving a baby snapping turtle. The pack a lot in. Water park slides are literally on top of flat rides and the Galaxi. Great shooter. I sucked. Although I did beat Rich... Great random themeing. Like giant concrete tigers! The famous haunted house. Hold me Cam! We waited until the end of the day to ride....it was broke. Winds + over water = white knuckles. A lot packed into a tiny space. And beware of germs! Crowds didn't get much heavier than this. The picture everyone takes. Hoosier Hurricane.

Louise
So glad you posted, Matt, thanks!! Nice pics! Cameron's hair is different from when I last saw him and I would comment that he looks hot except that I am COMPLETELY blindsided by Melanie's new 'do... OMG I LOVE it!!! Looks absolutely stunning!! I don't believe I've ever noticed shots of the random theming (eg concrete tigers) before. That combined with IB's rides-on-top-of-rides quality certainly warrants its comparisons with Blackpool. larrygator
Did the Falling Star ever open up for you guys? Great cycle on the sucker. They just run the flats so well there. Those that will be on the TPR MidWest trip, do not underestimate this park. I'm sure Rich or Cameron will post photos of other key IB attractions like Tacos and Air Crow. Oh and Mel's hair is looking fine. Very un-Indiana-esque.
Bubba Z
Indiana Beach Rocks ! It reminds me of Wildwood meets Knoebels. I need to get a Taco the next time I go. Thanks for the pics!

coastercrazed49
Great Trip Report. I've always wanted to go to Indiana Beach. Also I love how the coasters go over the water in some parts.
mcjaco
Wait, I have a complaint: No Matt pictures?!?! Mel took some of us crushing Cameron on the Scrambler. Bother her!
funkybadger
Aww, thanks for the lovely compliment Lou! The "new do" is much easier to take care of. I had it this way several years ago, but I'm always changing my hair out of boredom. As soon as I got it cut short this time I felt like myself again. I'm sure Rich or Cameron will post photos of other key IB attractions like Tacos and Air Crow. Oh and Mel's hair is looking fine. Very un-Indiana-esque. Air Crow was closed, and the Falling Star never reopened for us. Cameron didn't bring a camera, and we were too busy stuffing our faces to take pics of the tacos. Sorry. Thanks, Larry for saying something nice about my hair, while ripping on Indiana. Wait, I have a complaint: No Matt pictures?!?! We'll add some pics of Matt and the rest of us in here! There's some funny stuff on our camera! (HINT: 3 guys + 1 scrambler car = ???)

Cameron
Yay .. Indiana Beach! Fanboy mode: Activated.. Hoosier Hurricane was just meh. Hurricane was a little sluggish when we were there, but it's never really a stand-out ride. It's fun, and the location is awesome (especially at night), but it's nothing to write home about. Great pictures, and it was a fun day over-all. I don't believe I've ever noticed shots of the random theming (eg concrete tigers) before. That combined with IB's rides-on-top-of-rides quality certainly warrants its comparisons with Blackpool. Yeah - Blackpool is definitely like a giant Indiana Beach. It was so dreamy! I love how the coasters go over the water in some parts. While riding Cornball or Hurricane in the front seat, you can actually see the water through the track. It totally rules. Mel took some of us crushing Cameron on the Scrambler. They tried to crush me, but were unsuccessful on account of me being so manly and tough! Cameron. BeemerBoy
Great pics! If I'm able to make it to Knoebels next week, then that leaves IB as my most anticipated park to visit. I love the look of the place. Slight point deduction for lack of any blurry pics though.

restoca
Thanks for sharing those great photos. As much fun as this unique park is during the day, it really transforms into something dreamy at night, when a ride on the Shafer Queen paddle wheel boat is a must. Here's a photo I took from it a few years back. IB@PM
Coaster Palooza
We totally loved Indiana Beach when we went last year. It is such a neat little park. I am glad you enjoyed it. The pictures are great.
