Thailand Photo TR: Final PArk, Dreamworld now up.

Is that a new SLC layout, or has that been done before?
I think its a new mirror of the extended helix version or something. Looks a lot better than the old one IMO.

Also, water coaster? That log flume looks like a JJ credit

That weird launch coaster looks like a cross between Superman (I-beams) and Hypersonic (rubber wheels)

You would think they could come up with more creative names for their coasters (Boomerang, Loop-the-Loop, Suspended Looping Coaster)

The SLC is an extended version of the standard model. More info at RCDB http://www.rcdb.com/id3715.htm

The main difference is probably the amount of headbanging on the ride

This was an interesting one. I was reliably informed, by the park themselves, that WonderWorld was open and that 1 roller coaster was open and a second one was being built.

Needless to say the park was closed and there was only one coaster and the track was not yet finished.

OMG! am I the only person who thinks that the size of this small hill in relation to that big drop would produce massive airtime?!? Maybe the ride was closed because they were still picking pieces of past riders out of the trees above it!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed parks in Thailand. I'm Thai and I didn't get any chance to go to other parks outside my country. Usually, I go to Dreamworld, because in my opinion it's the best park in Thailand. i went to Siam Park about 3 years ago and i didnt like it very much. nable to old park and old rides. but they improve a lot these day. i read some article about this park's owner that she will try to make this park better every year. And she did it, because the packer added some new ride lately, for example "big double shock" just added last year, i think. and they painted many rides which i'm glad they did. anyways, i think i will visit this park again by the end this year. i'm ready to ride first vekoma SLC in Thailand. by the way, i go to pattaya park quite often, because it's not very far from my home. the rollercoaster is really rough, i agree (it hurts my legs all every time lola) but it's fun ride. launched coaster, they never opened, i've seen it standing there for about 2 or maybe 3 years now. the other park, wonder world, i've been there once. the ride didnt open on that time i went there. they said, on weekday the open only in the evening. they have only 3 rides that operate when i went there. anyways, i'm still looking forward to ride those new rollercoaster. and if you guys notice, pattaya park funny land and wonder world, they almost have the same rides. i've heard that they have the same owner. lola this is a long reply. sorry about that.

I would presume there would be water at the bottom of the drop to slow it down a bit.

^If anything thats not why I wouldnt enter an asian aprk.

I wouldnt do it(well, I would, but if I had to find a reason not to...) because they CREEP ME OUT!

I mean... I cant even get my head around half the stuff Ive seen here.

Plus what the heck is that weird blue coaster. (the one that immitates thunder dolphin, not the one with the spiral lift) it looks so... odd.

Am I the only one here that has swore to themselves that they will never enter and Asian park? It seems like every park over there is a homemade rip-off of Disney. No offense to anyone who lives in Asia.

Can you please give me an example of how Fuji-Q, Yomiuriland, Laqua, etc are homemade rip offs of Disney? According to rcdb, there are over 200 amusement parks just in China and Japan alone, (including the official Disney Parks). That's not including all the other Asian countries "over there". Anyways, you seriously think that they are all Disney rip-offs? You should spend some more time watching videos of people's Asia trips on this sight...

There was something similar at Spree-Park (Berlin), which I rode. It's more a quick jump than actual airtime.

Feels a bit like one of the little hills on a typical wild mouse.

I'm sorry, I meant the ones that are like the ones in this TR. There are some very nice Asian parks out there, just all the others are like these.

Ya know, there is one fairly decent Disney rip off, Lotte World (but didn't the park close in January though.....?). But yes most of these parks are crappy attempts at Disney.

Like somebody said before, though, there are plenty of non Disney rip off parks in Asia that are all pretty good.

And good TR!

^The park is re-opening soon, its just the park didn't pass a safety inspection so they had to make repairs to some of the rides. It should re-open this month.

Anyways, Siam City Park looks like one weird park, it look nice, but it is in Thailand. Also, that Log Flume looks abandoned and creepy. The flume is very rusted-looking itsself and that hill looks like it came from hell. I guess if this park was located in somewhere like the USA, it would be a very ghetto place not worth going to.

Next up was YoYo land.

This was quite a nice kiddie park on the fourth floor of a huge shopping centre.

However the coaster was a complete waste of time, except of course it was a credit.

Next up was Leoland. Now I knew the coaster was closed and I knew most of the rides had gone. But I was surprised to find the coaster in fairly good nick. It looks like it could have been a fairly good ride.

I had been told that the water park was closed but it was still in operation when I got there.

Fantasia Lagoon was the last of my Mall parks. I had heard nothing about this place and, although they had no coaster, was quite surprised.

There was a whole floor of rides and an outdoor water park, all on the top floor.

This was in a shopping centre called The Mall and it was a long way out of Bangkok. They obviously don`t get many foreigners visiting.

Enjoy
